  • I'm American, but one time I was travelling through Europe with a couple friends, and we had been on the road for 4 or 5 hours. We decided to pull off at this tiny little village in France to grab something to eat real quick. I don't remember the name of it. It was kind of up in the hills with gorgeous views, charming little shops, but not many people walking around. The type of place you could drive right passed on a long road trip and not even remember driving through it. It looked like there was only 1 actual sit-down restaurant, so we made our way there. There was an older overweight woman near the door who gave us some menus and pointed at the outdoor tables to take a seat. About 15 min later, the waitress came to take our order. I shit you not, to this day, she was the most beautiful girl I've ever seen in my life. Perfect tan, green eyes and strawberry blonde hair. She had that alien beauty that Bill was talking about. Like you couldn't find a flaw on her. I work in a part of L.A. where I see a lot of celebrities and models. They had nothing on her. I'm no simp but she was beautiful on a whole other level. And she wasn't even wearing makeup. Just completely natural beauty and a simple ponytail. Her english was very limited, so she was struggling with understanding us. She got really nervous, which was unlike the other French people we met, who would just repeat what they were saying in French but louder and a more angry tone lol. She had an innocence about her. She went and got the older lady to come and help her. Turns out that older lady was her aunt, and she was born and raised in that tiny little village. She probably had no idea how beautiful she was on a global scale.

    • Celebrities and models are women who wanted to use their beauty to gain celebrity. But the vast majority of beautiful people are happy to lead an ordinary life far from the limelight. You shouldn't have been surprised to see her in a small village.

    • I read your comment, and I thought about it.. Let me enlighten you. Model scouts, photographers, and people who "know people" travel all the time. They actively seek the most exotic women. One example is Sharbat Gula whom they found in AFGHANISTAN. She had exotic eyes and immediately became known. My point is, you will NEVER see someone THAT HOT in real life who isn't famous. There's no doubt she was beautiful, but nowhere near top models. You would see that if she stood next to them. You were probs really horny.

    • Choco Manger There is no such thing as true love, we are incapable of real monogamy, evidence suggests. Look at the divorce rates and women say they are never pleased by a man, while men have their own problems too. We are organisms that always strive to pick the best mate, we are programmed to cheat, not everyone does but it is almost impossible to really love someone for who they are, because we don’t think with logic, we think with emotion then justify that with logic We are animals at the end of the day, and our monkey brain drives us to pick first and foremost the physically best looking person possible, not personality. We are all shallow creatures every single one of us, there is no denying it.

      @You-xs1px@You-xs1px4 жыл бұрын
    • @@You-xs1px Many people are capable of monogamy. Look all around the world throughout time. It is natural for humans to be sexually attracted to others, but with some strength, we can deal with it. That's the stuff that fucks with your brain and distorts reality. One of my biggest missions in life, when I have a daughter, is to teach her that beauty is not everything and also to teach her to not measure her worth by her beauty. My family is very shallow and it's taken me many years to appreciate beautify and to no envy it in a negative way.

The past 10 years or so there's been more and more healthy beautiful fit role models for women like the Tone it Up women- Karina and Katrina... or some youtube fitness influencers like Whitney Simmons or Nikki Blacketter. Where they show working out and eating properly is beautiful and inner happiness is beautiful. That to me is an attainable healthy beauty standard.

  • Well i think that beauty standards are mainly problem on Social medias, where mainly young people have tendecies to compare themselves with not only celebrities, but even with fitness influencers or influencers overall (which are many). There are much more people like that, which has 100k+ followers and captures only like 1% of their happy life on Instagram. This makes lot of people think, that they are always happy and their not, so they want to live like them, although 9/10 of them never can. I have good self awareness and when I used these medias, I never had that problem, it was only way of relax for me like 30 minutes per day maximum. Many people don’t realize that and cannot divide their for example Instagram life and real life.

It captures only particle of your life and everybody looks happy on the outside. • Because actresses are usually already at the lowest weight they should be. Cameras really do make you look heavier than you are, so to appear super trim, you usually have to stay a little underweight. And when your at your lowest weight, losing 15 lbs is not easy. Plus It’s psychologically tough to be constantly malnourished and stressed. That’s why actresses usually drink so much green juice because they have to get in nutrition with little macros.

On top of the fact that we live in a gynocentric society heightening narcissism and solipsism amongst women with a deeply materialist mindset so women not only expect to get everything that they want but also are easily bitter, jealous and lazy. They don't want to work and that laziness is so present within their psyche that being required to work in any way seems genuinely offensive, even if they're just asked to shed a few pounds.

      @kilgoretrout321@kilgoretrout321 Жыл бұрын
    • @@kilgoretrout321 you'd have a point for people with very specific limiting lifestyles but a couple of things: 1) 40 hour work weeks aren't that much work or limiting. It depends on the hours and how you use them but overall 40 hours isn't very much. You could literally dedicate another 40 hours to another goal while working 40 hours at your main job and still have time for basic family tasks assuming the family is mentally healthy and supportive of each other. It's even easier alone and there's plenty of time to feed yourself. If it's a fitness goal some of the 40 hours would be dedicated to cooking because 40 hours a week of weights might actually kill you. Though things like biking and swimming could be sustained for a full time job it's still too much with diminishing returns, but considering that scheduling a lethal amount of excercise is technically possible within the parameters a much more sustainable amount shouldn't be too hard. 2) are we thinking about the same "unattainable" body. This is a big one because some features are a matter of genetics while the basic stats like height to weight ratio and leanness are just diet based. Are we thinking about the same degree of these stats? And are we talking about legitimately having this extreme level or faking it well enough for a magazine cover? Is it maintained long term or a fitness appearence goal acheived for a short while then abandoned in favor of health? 3) what starting point are we considering. At some point outside intervention and aid becomes a must. Nobody is saying you have to do it alone and some people can't get it alone. But i think every man of my height with all his limbs can be 175 and 10% bodyfat no matter the circumstances within 5 years and i don't think this requires anything too insane. I'm not there but i haven't spent the last 5 years trying. I choose this stat because i saw a magazine cover with a dude this size on it. He looked good in the picture but that was probably just him peaking for that day.
