The constitution says once you decamp from a political party that sponsors you without any political party infighting, you lose your seat. All these political Jobbers Wike boys. Nigeria will not grow with hungry people like this man.

A private citizen can go to legislative quarters to see friends and family (I have gone there many times and only informed my relative) but according to Martins a Governor has to inform 'them' before he visits legislative quarters.

Confused people, but a high court in Rivers State also declared Edison as the authentic speaker of the House of assembly. Unfortunately, no federal high court across the country has jurisdiction over this case. Only state high courts can deal with the case.

By the constitution of the country, those assembly decampees have lost their seats automatically. What is the court waiting for and why has the INEC not made arrangement to conduct elections?

The constitution prescribed conditions for defection and it's the courts that interpret the law. It is left for both sides to make their case in court. Poor and biased presentation by Arise subjective presenters. I could see the way their muscles were doubling when asking questions from the man. But never did when they were asking questions from that useless politician yesterday. I am impressed with the responses from this man here today. Calm, logical, reasoning, and backed with legal pronouncements. The people who are blindly supporting the illegal actions of the governor are the same set of people who claim to want a greater nation. They are the same set of people who are condemning the federal government and the president for his amicable resolutions. They are the same set of people who are behind Peter Obi. The same set of people who are not happy that Wike is a minister. But sentiments and subjectivity are running in their blood. How do you want a better nation when you have been bedeviled with these qualities. Rufai was telling the man that the defectors should automatically leave their seats because of their action, which implies that the governor's actions were right. Imagine a lawless approach by a presenter. I think that was why Dr. Abati quickly put the record straight to him. I feel sorry for the nation with these set of bias journalists. No nation can succeed with bad journalism. It's shameful! Everything you anchor and your dispositions must be on truth, objectivity and utmost respect for the rule of law.

My worry is that what exactly do Nigerians want? Good or bad governance? True democracy or sentimental democracy? Obedience or disobedience to court orders or the constitution? It's becoming so clear to me now that the followers are the major problems of the country. Why would you be asking me to tell you what the cause of their feud is? The two of them have been together for a long time, and he has been very loyal to Wike when he was ruling the state like an emperor. He wined and dined with Wike when some people were been oppressed. He never objected to Wike's misrules in the state. Wike single-handedly made him the governor. Now that he has the power, would it be appropriate for me to be sympathetic to their evil acts? Absolutely, NO! The law is there to do that, if necessary. But unfortunately, he doesn't look like someone to win in court because of his rascality towards the laws, the legislative and the judicial arms of government. He needs to retrace his steps. Those who are supporting him blindly now because of their hatred for Wike, who was sometime their hero before things fell apart during the last elections, will turn their backs at him when he becomes vulnerable. He should count himself lucky that Obasanjo was not the one in power, he would have long gone!
