Jennifer Tilly/Tiffany is my favorite character in the series, besides Chucky, of course. I love the attention they’re giving to her character, she’s so awesome.
I think it's fantastic that Jennifer Tilly has aged well, she must be a considerable age, but she's still as beautiful as she was in the 90s.

They didn't switch souls, they overrode the soul, theres a diffrent spell for switching (which Tiff used)
It’s not just a doll you can transfer into Tiff. That’s just become the most common trend in the franchise. Charles wanted to transfer into another person but a doll was all he had at the time.
I've noticed how the lore changes from time to time, even in the first movie the specific chanting that chucky does when trying to transfer to Andy is never used again either
