absolutly amzing race, respect
Lochte, You are the world best. I love you ❤
I love himmmm
I LOVE LOCHTE
I didn't know that Conor Dwyer swam IM
Nice profile pic
If Lochte wins this event this year then he and Phelps will be the only ones with 5 titles in a row (Phelps with 200 fly)
He is not allowed to compete this year because of the Rio incident.
lies
Phelps' Titles in the 200 Fly weren't straight tho, as he dropped his 2 best events in 2005 (200 fly and 400 IM) and swam kinda his secondary events.
@@IntermitenciaMental what rio incident?

it's legal
nope: According to SW 9.1 each of the strokes must cover one quarter (1/4) of the distance. Being on the back when leaving the wall for the Freestyle portion of the Ind. Medley is covering more than one quarter of the distance in the style of Backstroke and is, therefore, a disqualification. Backstroke swimming is only defined as being on the back. why does it matter if lochte kicks on his back after the breast exchange, doesn't it turn to freestyle, and aren't you allowed to do whatever you want in freestyle? 0_0
Joshua Reagan Well, during the last leg you are not allowed to swim any of the other strokes. You can't swim fly, back, or breast, but you can do your own sort of stroke. Therefore, the underwater on his back could be interpreted as backstroke.
+Joshua Reagan Lochte cheated
hahahaha I was a 200 and 400 IMer and I never knew this XD
+Joshua Reagan It is perfectly legal; these guys have no idea what they are talking about. Page 9: fina.org/H2O/docs/rules/sw_rules_20132017.pdf

Yaaawesome!!!!++++:)))))
Lochte is movie star handsome
omg
don't understand the rule.... so its it legal or not legal for him to do that?
Not legal anymore.
because of lochte?
Yes, because of Lochte. It is illegal in the IM events, but it is still legal in the freestyle events. You can check Lochte's turns during the 4x200 relay in the Olympics if you want.
I don’t understand why the judge didn’t DQ Locthe. The replay shows that he went on his back before going to freestyle.
Cos it was not disallowed yet during this meet. FINA only officially outlawed it after this meet.
thats why it is called the Lochte Rule
I don't know why, but both lochte and Phelps aren't quite as insane on the last turn of the 200 IM. Mayb the breast somehow takes a lot of air from your lungs or something.
lol, Phelps still beat Lochte's time even when he's not competing here.
eienbeau lol Lochte still has the Word record in this event rip you and your arguments.
Marcelo Chauvet Ryan Lochte is arguably one of the best 200IMers, as he broke the WR, although Michael Phelps won more Olympic golds
@@marcelochauvet4748 a world record is better than an olympic medal tho🤔
@@yesmk000 4 olympic golds in that event over a wr tho? no way
@@cooldumpy7913 3 golds but yeah. The thing is no one rly talks about whoever got gold in 200IM in 2012, but we still hear about Lochtes record whenever there is the 200IM at a big meet.
Just to point out, a judge CAN NOT DQ a swimmer. A judge can only report the infraction to the referee. The only person who can DQ a swimmer is the referee.
The judge was a coward! For that reason, Lochte won!
When will american commentators understand that the last stroke is called "front crawl" and not "freestyle" since they can't swim any stroke they wish.
The commentators are right. Freestyle is not a stroke/swimming technique. Freestyle is the "swimming event" (in this case as part of the IM) and you can use your favorite stroke: everyone chooses the front crawl because it results to be the fastest and more energy-efficient stroke eligible for the "freestyle split".
@@lillocosta1777 thanks for correcting me, I had to check a fina article where it's explained that in an IM race, freestyle is considered anything other than butterfly, backstroke and breaststroke. In other races "freestyle" means, indeed, any style that the swimmer chooses.
He won. He didn’t get 4th
Owen von weihe he has 4 straight titles, not 4th place
brazil have a white swimmer and sweden a black one... what happens to the word?
