Hello Friends!
l'm here with an amazing carpet today. l'm sure you've never seen such a dirty carpet before.
The story of the carpet
This carpet, which has been used in a car care center for about 15 years, has never been washed since the first day.
After the owner of the shop died, his son continued to work in the shop for a while and eventually decided to close the shop. He asked me to clean this rug to keep it as a souvenir.
Thank you for watching me :) #carpetcleaning #asmr #satisfying

    • It's an autoshop so, must've been years, if not decades, of oil. The fact the rug is still able to be cleaned and not be totally disintegrated is more impressive to me

    • problem is, even by the end, that's still not the finished product. It cuts off abruptly after a pressure wash and dirt was still coming from the rug, so it still leaves a feeling of incompleteness. That rug still could have used a few more passes and then gotten a couple spins in the centrifuge.

  • This is extremely impressive! I knew exactly what was happening when he showed me the car garage and had first-hand knowledge of what that rug felt, smelled, and looked like. I’m impressed he didn’t find embedded coins, screws, nuts, etc.. My dad was a trucker and a master mechanic. They always had these smaller rugs around the garage. One is under the truck to keep the oil from staining and building up in the bay, and then others are at the work bench. Another is at the door to the office, etc. My Dad would look at a house rug and ask my grandmother if he could have it for the garage. He was the only one I did not get in trouble with if I spilled a soda or juice on a rug. Grandmother would roll her eyes and tell me to carry it to the garage. She always knew why he needed it. She got to where she would buy old rugs for the garage at yard sales. During the video, I kept thinking, “Go get the Lava bar of soap,” because that is the only thing that would clean my Dad’s hand and, later, mine when I learned to work on cars. But I know that such rough soap would have damaged the rug. When he got to the gasoline the first time, I thought he had had enough and was just going to light it up. Grandmother died twenty-one years ago, but she would have loved this video!

All I can say is that rug must've had hella sentimental value to it for somebody. I really would've loved to have seen it completely finished and a side by side comparison of before and after.

  • If I may suggest. On a carpet oil stained with ancient grease, grime, etc, as around an auto repair shop, soak the item with automatic transmission fluid. Preferably Dexxron III if still available. Allow the item to set for a few days. Keep saturated, Will do no harm to the woolen fabric. Then use traditional methods to continue cleaning. That fluid has a high surficant detergent in in. Works on stained driveways also.

  • I’m finding this channel incredibly satisfying. Kind of like life…sometimes, especially after making mistakes, it takes attention to detail, perspective and lots of work requiring time to decide it’s time for change, and work on the issues a bit at a time. Bit by bit, wash by wash, cleansing rinses of our old ways, patience, persistence, and belief in the power of ourselves . . . For me, this is a microcosm of the hope and possibility of beauty emerging slowly when we had thought it hopeless. Just sayin’.

    • I’ve worked in Trade areas in TAFE and had my own carpet cleaning business. One of the tricks is a kero bath day one and a strong very hot degreaser treatment the next. An old bathtub will do fine. Turn mat facing downwards in bath. Drain tub until grease and filth lift away. Leave to soak again, repeating as above. Use a very stiff nylon brush on an outdoor driveway/path area. Pressure wash from backing first then turn over and do the top. Kerosene will lift grease out of ‘cut and loop’ pile as well. Most of the oil should be dissolved, freshen will bi-carb of Soda and Lavender carpet freshener after carpet has been squeezed out and dried over a wire fence. This will cut down time and water. Beat the Rug and use wet and dry industrial vacuum suction cleaning machine until it is cleaned and spray with apple fabric softener. This should take away all the chemical smells. Voila ... clean 🥂

I've been in the garage of auto shops, and they may look clean, but that's just enough cleanliness that the mechanics don't slip in oil or on metal shavings, and the car tires aren't punctured. If someone were to take a power washer to the floor of a car bay, I'm sure there would be just as much dirt and oil, if not more, making its own carpet on the concrete.

Personally I couldn’t look away. My husband fitted carpets for a living was so highly regarded he fitted for THE QUEEN FITTED FOR THE HIGHEST CATHEDRAL IN IRELAND.!!! Got the pictures for receipts.!!! He also started a carpet cleaning business, thinking not too many people would clean their carpets, boy was he wrong. Do you know why the rich are rich, they throw away nothing, they clean it, even when in holes.?!!! Can you believe it.!!!🤨
