This video is about a few good beginner boomerangs that I know.
There are of course a lot of other good beginner boomerangs but because I haven't tested them I can't pass judgment on them either. Unfortunately, a lot of junk is still being sold. The boomerangs in this video are guaranteed not to disappoint you as a beginner. Once you have mastered the boomerang throwing you can switch to boomerangs with 2 wings, the v-shape or hook-shape for example, these usually have a further distance and also an apparently slower rotation which gives a great flight. Very good video! Gives a good overview and some insight into the differences and throwing technique. For me, your experience with and opinion about the orbiter is also very interesting, as this is my first boomerang and I definitely struggle to let it come back to me. Most of the time it only does 2/3 or 3/4 of a circle. I will try some of the easier ones first now. By the way, very impressive how you catch so many throws, even while talking and filming and with changing wind! Thanks a lot for the video! Cheers : )
Thanks, if you practish a bit you are able tho catch them the same way As I said the sunfly needs a higher throw and more vertical. Keep on trying the Orbiter if you can find the sweet point you for sure will like him to. Need to throw with a bit more layover and do not throw it upwards, straight forward or just a little bit down is best for the Orbiter, my experiance. Bend the wings up before throwing might help. If it does not work, ask a friend to film your throw and the flight of the boomerang. Maybe I can give some tips if I see the flight and the throw

the spin racer is a good one to start with. Only to be used in little or no wind. Normally this should be thrown vertically with little or no layover and also slightly upwards, not horizontally, parallel to the ground but at an angle of approximately 15° upwards. But as with any boomerang you have to figure out how to throw it, a small bend in a wing can greatly change the flight and therefore the throw. If it doesn't work, have someone film your throw from the side, from the back or from the front, then we might be able to identify what went wrong.

I think Beat Aepli's Mini is the best Boomerang for beginners. I build all my wooden boomerangs by myself because I am a lefthander. I prefer wood. Greetings from Germany.
Do not know the Beat Aepli's Mini. Making boomerangs your self is extra fun. As a lefty you almost have no choice 😉

This is somewhat contradictory, because in your example: x÷2y we do multiply 2 times y first! (We do not get xy/2).

@@klungelair I think my comment is quite clear. But here you go: In the expression "x÷2y" You should first divide x by 2, then multiply by y. We do not tend to do that. We tend to treat the 2y as a unit rather than the multiplication that it is. It should follow the preceding multiplication. In principal, "x÷2y" is not the same as "x÷(2y)".

No, kids at age of 8 or 9 can throw this boomerang if they have some controle over there throw. Perfect throwing is like everything in life, you need to practish 😉
Here’s the inventor of the orbiter teaching how to throw it. The angle he’s chucking it at is like 50° or more. It’s a weird one for sure
the inventor of the aerobic Orbiter himself knew nothing about boomerangs, he had designed it and the boomerang did not return. He then had to ask a boomerang expert what was wrong and the expert then made sure that the thing came back. If I'm right, he didn't even get a thank you for it
