The new Battlegrounds season is here, and I wanted to check out some of the new stuff. I was absolutely stunned by how broken this Battlecry Quilboar run felt.

Battlegrounds | Hearthstone | Gain 700/700 every turn... this build is INSANE.

Idk how sanguine champion is the 7 star when Pokey is a 6 star and 100x easier/better to enable in quillboar
1. Sanguine champion is very good with the earlier quilboar setup with rylak. While pokey is a little capped with end of turn effects, rylak/murkeye with sanguine, brann/rivendare, and 1 charly can scale quicker and also the transition, while highrolly, would move faster, especially with thorim. 2. Tier 7 released before this, so they may update stuff, or just get lazy and leave it
You just usually want end of turn effects anyway with bongo/charlgra and pokey is a 1 card investment that does both instead of needing to die and also needing rylak or murkeye You're wasting so many slots to make a 7 cost do what a 6 cost already does. Especially since pokey can survive combat and still provide its scaling But yeah it just seems outdated was my vibe
@@RaventhortheWarriorthis is not a good way to play quilboars tbh you usually want to stay on 3 for the death rattle scale and battlecry then triple into rylak or this new spell craft and now you go to five for the new battlecry and go nuts
@@criticaltipper7699 Yeah if i could cherry pick everything I find of course I'd take my entire engine but you play what you find. This also relies on other tribes to work and rylak is more aggressively contested than drakkari. But I'm not talking about how play quillboar anyway I'm talking about how pokey is crazy easier to set up than sanguine because it only really needs 1 supporting tribeless piece and doesn't need to die / have rylak die to do it. There's a lot of heroes that can find or try to find a high tier minion and work backwards on their build (Reno, Galakrond, Thorim, Omu, Eudora, etc) and unless I'm hitting the nuts I'd rather have pokey on an average board than sanguine because he's more flexble on board slots.
