  • The bottle cap container.... I can up with some improvements. I superglue the 2 halves together. Plus I add a plastic sleeve inside to add strength. I've made several from larger caps like from 3 liter bottles. The canister for 35mm film fits inside those perfectly and really don't need glued. Those are also completely waterproof. By best one was done with 4 caps from larger bottle opening. It holds more than a roll of quarters. I'll send pics if interested...

  • 0:17 Before inserting the end of the wire rope into the mold, coat it with resin solder. As the video shows, it just sucks. The cast metal cools so quickly that no bond is formed. Even though the end of the rope is tousled, it will slip out sooner or later.

  • What alloy did he use for the cable stops? Straight lead would be too soft and it’s certainly not iron (Fe impression on the pieces)

    • 'Fe' is iron. I didn't think iron could melt on a heated spoon though.
