Many people didn’t like it and cancelled ao3 so the Chinese government blocked it. Then the people who actually went onto ao3, because it was the only platform that wasn’t corrupted but the Chinese government, decided to cancel the actor even though he had nothing to do with it. That’s like a really fucking basic overview of how homophobic China actually is.

@@sowmyareddy5249 I would like to splain it to you, first thing, this innocent boy has no fault in this all the case! , AO3 was a public platform in China, where people used to write articles, post smtg etc, and people weren't restricted from posting whatever they want, even if that thing is not allowed in China, so basically this platform was unauthorized platform, 227, meaning July 22, or Feb 22(some say either) when this incident happened, someone posted a fanfic of Xiao Zhan and Yibo, in which Xiao Zhan was shown as a prostitute in a woman's attire, so this caused XZ's fan to get triggered! They opposed this matter, and this became a big issue, government took notice of this and found out about the app, and guess what? They shut that app down! And now for the people who was posting on this app, and the so called writers, the one who didn't even posted anything about XZ had to suffer too, thus they were raged and started hastags and post about boycott XZ, boycott products endorsed by XZ, etc, everyone was afraid to even take XZ's name, even to the point, media was afraid to speak about him due to fear of antis, in this time, his fans supported a lot, they supported by purchasing the products endorsed by XZ, promoting his works, even tho this guy had done nothing wrong,he had to face a lott, like noone should be facing this, even tho it wasn't his fault, he apologized fans through social media! Those people who think AO3 got banned becoz of XZ are dumbest of all, coz AO3 is actually an illegal platform, there were posts of things which are banned in China, but is okay in us, like showing bl romance, or pedo romance, etc! Now that you are a new fan, I request you to support XZ!

The fans seriously had NO idea if he was going to be there (the official source had ZERO information), and there was no way to get group tickets since, like mentioned in the video, the official fan club was disbanded. So these are all individual fans who went through SO many different ways to get every single ticket (buying online, lucky draws, reposting posts by certain accounts etc.), and prepared all the lights (bcos they get confiscated), only for the CHANCE that if Xiao Zhan is there, they would be there for him. They didn't even know how many other fans showed up (again, no official fan club). It's honestly so hard to describe how moving this whole stage was T.T
