HOPE & HIGH WATER (Full Movie) | Searching for Cutthroat in Americas Most Remote Wilderness
Shop the Wild Fly x Tight Loops Collection www.wild-fly.com/shop
“Hope And High Water” is the first collaborative effort from Wild Fly Productions and @TightLoops . It chronicles filmmakers Scottie, Aimee, and Chase’s quest to find one of the American West’s most iconic fish, the Yellowstone Cutthroat Trout, deep in the heart of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. With schedules aligned, locations set, and the perfect window for late summer fishing on the horizon, the crew embarks on what they hope will be a week long backcountry trip for the ages, but they quickly learn that the wild corners of the West are anything but predictable.

The fact that this account isn’t already at over a million subs blows my mind. Quality of every video is out of this world! Good job as always Scottie! 👏
I read this comment and then realized I wasn’t subscribed I have been watching for over a year wtf
💯
@@nazcamo9407welcome to the club!
One day! We’re just trying to make the best videos we can and the rest is out of our control. Cheers!
Shhh let this channel be a hidden gem
Huge shoutout to Phelps on the shoot. Color work looks amazing Chase. You three are really an incredible videography team
One of those films that you just can't pause no matter what. The quality, the storyline, the people all bundle it into just pure quality.
It’s a collision of worlds to hear Phelps low-key tenor say “Nice.”, as Aimee lays down a perfect cast. Love it,
Haha, you get it!
We’ll call them “phelpsisms” from now on 😂
The memories alone from filming trips and fishing experiences like this alone enhance the experience and make it last longer finding the balance is what’s beautiful about it.
Amen! So many moments not shared in the film that truly made the trip what it was.
“Where are the fish… what is a fish”😂😂😂 Keep it up Scottie and crew, come fish Oregon.
He already did a vid on OR. Coast range
I’m 53 years old, and I fished a lot growing up and as a young adult. Like 200 days a year. I had kids, showed them fishing and they were not interested. Recently my youngest son has been bitten by the bug and it’s been great showing him some thins. It’s inspiring watching young (ish) folks figure out that it’s alright to be outside and get dirty and drag your camera gear around. It gives me hope as I often feel the generations below me are doomed because they didn’t live the way I lived. Y’all have got the right idea. It’s not the same, as it never will be with the cellphone but it’s as close. All the important elements are there, and it’s more interesting than bill dance
would you like a fly that imitates avocado toast 🤣classic!!!
Fly fishing to me brings back the quiet still moments in my life that is very few and very far between. Between the 25 years I served in the AIR FORCE and the years after serving patients in the hospital those times I spent in the woods alone with my dog and catching those trout gives me the sense of connecting to nature that I truly loved.
The single best fishing channel in the world. Nothing inspires me more to get out end explore even I watch these incredible movies.
I spent a week fly-fishing in the Yellowstone backcountry some years ago and it was the best week I've ever spent in the outdoors. Thanks for sharing your experience there with the community through this beautiful film!
Scotty killed it! If that’s not most everyone’s fishing trips then there not fishing right. Couldn’t have made a better video 🤘🏽💪🏽
Appreciate it Lucas! It was a blast to make.
I know it’s not good for the fishing, but that sound of rain pelting the top of the camper? I love it man. It’s a he sound of an adventure starting for sure.
Totally! I always say the same thing about mosquitos and blackflies. When the bugs are bad, you know you're on an adventure!
Oh it’s gotta be part of it!
That first diner/pub meal after some time in the bush........ aaahhhh! Its a bit universal to those who travel, wander and seek. 👊🏼👍🏼🤙🏼
Greats stuff as usual from both of these channels. So grateful for this level of production of content on youtube. Thank you!
I absolutely loved the film. A great representation of fellowship, fish, and trusting the process! As someone who works with YCT I enjoyed seeing you guys stick it out and catch a handful beautiful trout
Thanks, Evan! Keep up the good work!
On standby in Santa Barbara CA. I tip my hat to all involved with making this film.
Favorite area to fish by far. Those summer blowouts are REALLLL. Great Video guys
One of my greatest joys in life is creating habitat as refuge for sensitive stocks of trout and salmon across North America. It is such a rewarding experience for myself and my clients.
2 mates n i watched wildfly movie here in Australia n now we r watching it again now on YT. the 3 of us agreed its like a gud port resting, the taste gets better as time goes on. u c the littlest things missed or said the first time because u r taken by the first experience thats in front of u. the movie brings the landscape story fish right into u n theres a sensory overload u r trying to keep up with. guys the second time is a gud resting port. thx so much.

I don’t even fish, and I absolutely love These videos. Great content ! I’m gonna give fishing a go and stick around for more content. Well done 🤙🏼
Man yall are really good at making these videos. Accurate representation of the feast or famine/ebb and flow of wildlife in the west. So much nothing and then its like all hell breaks loose. Bad day at fishins better than a good day at work.
Beautiful video , and can’t wait for the next collab. Hopefully the fish gods will smile upon y’all. ❤
We can't wait either!!
Have to love when a video makes you want to get out and film!

Beautiful opening scene of Northwest Wyoming
I need a trip like this in my life, thanks for sharing.
I will never complain about the dry weather again although I do prefer rain once in a while to be able to fish those river streams creeks so they are not totally blown out. Great movie. And outstanding job. Thank you.

Movie level quality!
Float tubes and lakes have saved every trip when the rivers are blown out.
Wise words!
Looks very awesome!
This was an awesome and very entertaining to watch. Definitely alot of work to film and edit and fish. So happy to get to see this
Just finished my most recent "watched it again". Epic. An outing getting upended by adversity makes it - an adventure! I've had many and looking forward to many more.
Very artistic!! Great job!!!
Scottie I was fishing the tuck and Cherokee last week and saw Wild Fly gear at Rivers Edge! Super cool to see them support. Much love bro
This was awesome y’all. As always thanks for the watch. Now, y’all need to get into some REAL REAL wilderness and get into the Bob Marshall in Montana 😉 you’ll get to pack in as well which is a blast.
We spent a week in the Bob with our packrafts two summers ago. Epic trip, but surprisingly ran into more people there than we did on this trip in Wyoming 😬
@@TightLoops yeah guessing you were on the flathead? Gets a good amount of guided traffic in the summer, best in the spring and early fall. The better water in my experience is coming in from the East side…the Sun river is awesome and gets fished way less. Glad you’ve been in the Bob though! It’s awesome.
@@ScaryPaladin58 yeah south fork! awesome trip. Definitely can't wait to get back. We'll look into the Sun!
Can’t wait for this epic banger I’ve been wanting to my own on smallmouth and really hoping to step up my game watching this movie
I dont fish but I love your videos. Very relaxing and easy to watch.
I had a similar experience before and still managed to have an amazing time. I spent the down time doing some rock hounding. I've yet to get to that part of the country for some fishing. Thanks for sharing your awesome video.
It is PRIME rock hounding territory. Lots of agatized petrified wood!
Awesome video & perspective, fly fishing & tying feeds the soul & makes 1 more detailed or orienated, sounds cliche but filming & photographing go hand in hand, add the unpredictable conditions & you have an awesome adventure, keep the great videos coming, tight lines 🤙
That closing scene of the log being split was hilarious!!!! Loved the film, love the sound track and even the fishing 😂!!!
Great video as always! I think I missed you guys by a day or two.....pretty sure I was fishing the river where you started on the 29th and 30th of July. Definitely went down hill from there. I headed further west and found decent water. It was fun to watch this having been in the same situation and not knowing if I should stay or move. Can't wait to get back out there this summer.
Thanks for this wonderful film. Greetings from Slovenia and dry flyies dry, fish wet and lines tight!
someone needs to make a sunfish film like this with all the slow motion and music drama.
Went to the premiere in SLC and had a blast! I was stoked to be able to chat with Chase and Aimee briefly, didnt get to say hi to you Scottie! Amazing film man. All of the stuff you all put out is incredible and inspiring to keep adventuring
Yall are amazing an I appreciate yall for this I native trout fish here in virginia
Looks really good....🙂
Mother Nature came through in the end. She allways does.
I’ve had these adventures in alberta Rockies. Part of the fun, one min it’s banner weather next min 60k winds and poring rain.
Ain't that the truth!
so awesome. I had a GRIND in that part of wyoming as well. I fished for a day at that first spot yall went to , only found tiny fish but man it was pretty.
Great video
Not always what is best for the land but what is best for man!
I really enjoyed watching this video, and since I recognize multiple locations within 20 miles of my house thanks for not being any more specific than N.W. Wyoming for a location.
I live out in Big Sky and mostly fish the Gallatin. Really cool to watch your content!!! Amazing quality too!
