  • My analysis: This was Zach's best game of his career, he legitimately elevated the play of the players around him. He was able to get the ball out to Garrett, Breece, and Conklin. I'm not upset with the fumble, I like the grit he was trying to show running for that first down. OL was average at best, 4 sacks, 1 of which took us out of FG range. Becton had one of the worst games I can remember him having, still hobbled by the ankle sprain even though he wasn't listed on the injury report. Let's build off this game and smack the Phins around! 27/36 | 301 Yards | 2 TD 1 Fumble | 4 Sacks

    • It's clearly the best game of his career. He was composed and decisive. You saw flashes of it before during certain games, like KC, but here you saw it the whole game. And that was despite them not scoring any points in the first half. Even when they didn't score, he still looked good. Really feels like it could be a turning point for him, but he's gotta show that he can do it again. In his career, he has not shown that yet.

    • You ever consider that his oline wasnt bad because he was quicker with his decisions?

      @NothingToPointOut24@NothingToPointOut245 ай бұрын
    • @@truone637 Of course it was still bad. You have 3rd stringers out there that are only playing because we've seen a historical amount of injuries on that oline there. And yeah his mobility is a strength. But the extension of plays is not always a good thing. Being quicker with your decision making is a good thing.

      @NothingToPointOut24@NothingToPointOut245 ай бұрын
    • @@NothingToPointOut24 You let the Zach hate get the best of you. You really think that the o-line hasn't been terrible in general this season?

      @Kickingit06@Kickingit065 ай бұрын
    • @@Kickingit06 Thats a silly statement dude. I've been waiting years to see us get even a good QB. Its clear that Zach isnt that and its why the team pretty much moved on from him after last season. The fact that fans still have to have these same conversations about him is flat out ridiculous. And yeah the oline has been bad but a lot of that falls on him too. If a QB cant be quick in his decision making, it makes an lineman's job harder. It also increases the risk of injury. Hence our record setting IR in that area. Do you think thats just a coincidence? Bad QB play makes everyone else on the team look bad. What a shock that yesterday the entire team looked great when Zach started playing well. We all know he can do that but he cant do it consistently. Would've been nice if he did that against the Chargers or the Raiders a few weeks ago but then again the pressure was on him in those games. And he crumbled like he always does. Maybe he needs to play for a team like Jacksonville or LA where no one expects anything and fans forget about a loss as soon as the games over.

      @NothingToPointOut24@NothingToPointOut245 ай бұрын
    • @@NothingToPointOut24 What's silly is you writing a diatribe when you can't understand something as basic as the Jets o-line being not much more effective than paper at stopping the rush. Don't think I can't spot a Zach Wilson hater a mile away at this point. But okay, let's go with your logic that it's not the o-line. Tell me how terrible that Breece Hall is for his numbers running the ball which are frankly much worse than Zach's numbers. Go ahead, tell me.

      @Kickingit06@Kickingit065 ай бұрын
  • The biggest change was in the 2nd half hackett/wilson started attacking the intermediate portion of the field more. Wilson has really improved a lot of mechanics and pocket manipulation even before he was benched last. Their biggest problem was that they were just throwing checkdowns at the line of scrimmage, so teams were keying in on it. When you attack all parts of the field everything begins to open up. There still needs to be a lot more intermediate and deep passing though.

If you are beating into the quarterbacks head, “don’t take chances, be careful, don’t turn the ball over” you are going to get what we had in previous games. Zach made some great throws and other people were involved in the offense. This was a nice Team win because the offensive side were allowed to play.

    @ReignRegime@ReignRegime5 ай бұрын
    • Yes and no. They completely changed the game plan in the 2nd half. They went to a heavy play action pass offense. Typically our offense tries to incorporate a run game, even though our run game is abysmal. For example, against the Raiders we ran the ball on 1st and 2nd and goal from the 10 yard line in the red zone for zero gain. In the same game, after Wilson threw for 100 yards in the 1st quarter, the subsequent drive was all runs. Wilson didn't get a pass until the end of the 2nd quarter and lost his rhythm. In today's game, in the red zone from the 10, Zach had three passes. Seven yard Completion, throw away and touchdown on 3rd down. The team was much more disciplined today and the receivers were dropping the ball much less. Only Wilson had one drop today.

As Jets fans we are so used to seeing a sack, run for loss, or incompletion in that scenario and it's seems like the rest of the game just falls apart from there. • Zach made all the throws, even when he had very little time. That offensive line sucks! Merry Christmas 🌲. Everyone

  • Wilson, did pretty good when he had more than a couple seconds of protection. Problem is this is one of, if not the worst offensive lines in the league, there's not a single starting QB that could string together wins while constantly getting crushed and pressured up the middle. Just watch 1:56 how the interior just completely collapses, the ENTIRE right side just gets humiliated, terrible. Rogers getting hurt was the best thing that ever happened to his legacy.

  • Two main takeaways Jets field is terrible Secondly they need an NFL Oline for this man my goodness, he holds onto a bit long but still he had pressure in his face all game

  • Jets fans are so clueless. One minute they hate on Zack and want him gone, then he actually gets more than a second to throw and has a great game, he’s a hero. If they get rid of him, they’ll go back to being garbage for another 30 years.

  • I heard as Zach Wilson walked into the lockerroom after the game he said, 'F*ck Asman'.... maybe there is something to other areas of the team that are abyssmally deficiet. Jakes snarky 'look Im wearing Zachs shirt' a couple days ago looks shallow, petty and duplicitous just like it was meant to be after his scathing comments the last couple weeks. Isnt it amazing what Zach can do when he has a little time in the pocket. Even his fumble was him putting things on the line and giving effort. Maybe Zach should get the benefit of the doubt when obnoxious rumors emerge that try to end his career....

  • People need to learn to be patient with Quarterbacks! They all can’t be Brady or Patrick Mahomes off the jump! Give them time to grow and a good offensive line and they will be able to take you to where you want to go.

  • how many times has zach played in a dome... it seems every time he suits up hes playing in pouring rain... not exactly ideal conditions for elite QB play... along with his major injury, 3 OC's in 3 seasons, awful OLine, pitiful offensive scheme, dropped catch's, penalties, rubbish receivers (except garrett), Jets dysfunction being benched, relegated to 3rd string, then reinstated again etc etc and the disgusting hate from the so called fans and media (and some players) is it any wonder the young QB has struggled..... just a thought...

  • Looks like Zach finally noticed 17, keep it simple, Find 17 and throw it to him, he’s not open? Find 20! And don’t forget you have two 6’6 TEs who can catch anything thrown in their area.😂
