Craig is totally right. It's not only Spurs, but also Liverpool fans. If you told Liverpool fans that we will finish 4th this season, we would have been delighted. But once we saw the title as a possibility, everything changed.
That’s bs, if your a real Liverpool fan the minimum is to compete.
You would have been happy with 4th? Your expectations are way too low; that would be like me being happy with 2nd and a domestic cup. You’ve done about as well as I expected you to.
Dont talk daft. P.s we finished last season 15 games unbeaten and in brilliant form. It continued in to this season. Wouldn't of been delighted with 4th at all. I predicted we would be cities nearest challengers and got laughed at 😂 by Utd fans...who else😂 I knew last season was a blip and the quality was still there. 3 champions league finals, a league title, runners up 3 times, 90 odd points each time. Bit of respect please.
@@D23595 ofcourse we always want the team to go for the title. I'm just saying because the performance dipped at the end of the season, fans are more disappointed. But realistically, it's still not a bad finish.
Can I just point out bad refereeing has cost Klopp and Liverpool a title this season. Liverpool have lost 9 points due to terrible inexplicable bad decisions that VAR did not correct. The Diaz disallowed goal, The clear handball not given against Arsenal and the kick to the chest in the Man City game. Head of referees has apologised for all 3 wrong decisions to Liverpool, but Liverpool never got the points. With these points lost due to referee massive errors, Liverpool would be 7 points clear with 2 games to go. They claim bad decisions even things out, but other title contenders haven’t been robbed of 9 points due to referees. It is not the first time either, 2 seasons ago Man City won the title by 1 point and Rodri in one game against Everton did the most blatant handball in the last minute in the box a PK should have been given and ref missed it and VAR didn’t give and we had another apology from the head of refereeing but Man City kept the 2 points and won the title by 1 point. The Media keep talking about Nottingham Forest hiring a referee liaison as if this is massively dodgy, but nothing about the entire EPL refereeing and VAR team constantly going to the UAE during season to be paid for appearances in the country of the Man City owners. It is funny how Man City are always the team that always benefits of these huge mistakes. Conflict of,interest.
I’m so confused why are they talking about spurs like they are title contenders or a team that has won the league recently. They always have a good start in the season but as a Tottenham fan Conte made it clear that Tottenham will never win titles because that’s who they are
Please give us 3 points to stop Arsenal
@@viksinha5410 😂😂😂😂😂When you play Tottenham you definitely getting them
That’s literally their point 😅 I’m confused you didn’t get that

Majority of Spurs fans didn’t get carried - the media did and few randoms online but majority of actual spurs fans feel we’ve done better than expected
The table doesn't lie. I am a Liverpool fan and the reality of this season is we are third, the third best team in the Premier League and that's fair given the season we had.
I'm not sure I agree. I commented the same above. After 30 games Liverpool were favourites to win the title and most could not see where Liverpool would drop points. Certainly not United, Everton, Palace or West Ham. Note each of those teams their highlight of the past month has been the game against Liverpool. Those 4 teams have been poor against the rest of the opposition. We have been in freefall and it does not make sense.
@@masteryoda4073 Don't just look where you fall, you gotta look at it hat happens before you fall. We overachieved around the time we had most of our stars injured and it was a matter of time it would catch up to us and it happened at the wrong time. Zsoboslide never looked the same, Salah was terrible, Jones was very underwhelming, Jota got reinjured , Bradley got injured.
@@masteryoda4073 Nonsense, pure revisionism. At no point this season have we played anywhere near our best. The period after Christmas until the cup final we scraped through with kids and a constantly changing attack but once March ended our luck ran out. We never played football as good as Arsenal or City nor had the defence of Arsenal, even when we were top. Tbh if Villa didn't have Europe they would have surpassed us.
@@masteryoda4073Arsenal and City have played better than use throughout the season, even when we were grinding out wins, we weren’t playing that great
@@EH_1995 i'm a gooner. We didn't play well in a number of games too. That happens. We managed to escape a breakdown because our two centrrbacks were not injured. If saliba would not have been injured last season we would not have collapsed. I can only speak for arsenal. City have replacements in most crucial positions. We not. Liverpool? I doubt it.

Ange is the 1st Spurs manager to complete a full season in charge since Poch.
He hasn’t completed it yet. Three games left for this to continue to unravel.
He's also the first manager ever to be top November 1st and end up outside the top 4..
Spurs has spent the same amount as liverpool since 2016 so don't lie
These guys have very short memories themselves. They are the ones that made us look at Spurs as title contenders. They hyped Spurs up so much and now it's blown in their faces. All coaches get found out at some point there is nothing wrong, the difference between good coaches and great ones is that the great ones find another way to make their football work
They never said they were contenders…
@@vavaknives7632 they said it
No, what Dan did was ask the question and most of the panel responded just as Craig said they did, saying that Ange is doing an excellent job but the contenders were always City Arsenal Liverpool. They did suggest they could be in contention for 4th which they technically were, up until the last couple weeks lol
i wouldn't want any other manager as a Spurs fan. 5th place in 1st season for us, c'mon, look at Arteta, Pep, Klopp's 1st season. lmao, get a grip fellow Spurs fans, and let the other fans troll. Look at Arteta's first 3 seasons, absolute joke
Brother they did not say that. They literally said they won’t last long playing the way they do with the depth they have. They literally said they will fall off, no one said they were tittle contenders.
First! The media got carried away too!
They need the clicks
I'm a Spurs fan who was very concerned about "Ange ball" even when we were doing well. That felt like something unsustainable and as Kasey Keller put it, required 3 Ngolo Kontes performing their best to protect when Spurs were losing possession. Ange's Celtic had by far best players in Scottish league so the style worked well, but it's different story in EPL. I do not think even ManCity would be able to win it all plaing Ange's way. EPL simply has too much quality in both players and managers to hope that Ange's tactics would deliver results on the long run
I love ange ball bcos it's easy to counter
Stupid manager making them sprint every game for 90 minutes and not defend. They’re lucky they’re missing top 4 because it’d break this squad.
Remember when Spurs fans went around saying "Angeball" all the time and thought they were in a title race? Joke club with deluded fans.
Its the same every year. I swear they nvr learn😂
@@junioradult6219 By definition the best start in 65 years doesn't happen every year

Nonsense. Klopp and Pep are leaving and do you think any modern elite manager or player wants to live in the freezing dour North of England especially if a salary cap is implemented? No. lol....they want to live in London so the only future elite teams will be Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea. Ange is on the right path.
If he’s given a bit of time, a hand in transfers with at least three windows he could build a team to play his style and hope he would tweak it for the English game as well. Don’t see it happening though.
most fans tend to be final score and goal watchers. have little understanding of football. they are distracted from the ongoing game until someone scores--the entire game is just the highlights for them. unable to appreciate the thoughts and efforts the manager has put into the game.
5th is the perfect position for Tottenham. I don't know what they're thinking

Now they are saying he should be more practical....it is easy to imagine you would be okay losing playing positive football....it just aint so...
"and that's who we are mate" 😂😂😂😂😂
The only issue for Spurs is Postecoglu saying they have no problem with defensive set pieces when they clearly do. Sometime between now and next season he'll have to fix it or Spurs won't improve no matter which players they bring in, maybe they need to upgrade defensive coaching staff but something has to change at the back.
It could be that he don't want to highlight the issue to other teams and claim it as bad luck while fixing it in training
Graig is spot on! Finally a voice of reason.
He was awarded the greatest manger in London award? 🤷🏻♀️
As a lifelong Spurs fan I agree 💯 with Craig 👏🏼
Nuno got same results as Ange and got sacked with months it's surprising to see that espn wants Tottenham to become another average team like current Chelsea, getting 5th and not top 4 is a new good level of tottenham
Spurs have been like this all season defensively. Remember Stevie say "you can't keep on outscoring the opponent" and now they can't score.
Agree wholeheartedly with Craig. Spurs fans need to chill out and have faith and patience
One area they should be concerend with is playing out from a goal kick. They just don't have it at the moment to be able to do so.

Spurs spent more money than Liverpool since klopp took over. Sky Sports done a piece on it. 570m to 346m

@@GodofStoriesHe’s talking net spend, which is pretty much what most people use considering it takes into account losing important players. If you want to talk gross transfer spend Spurs have still spend more.
As a Spurs fan I can accept we are a top 5 team. Vicario has been good this season but I would like them to go after Ramsdale. He's strong, hungry to #1 goalie, and knows every Arsenal trick on set pieces. Then he can work on other parts of the game and fill in weak areas but you need a keeper who can shove players out of the way.
The fact is that many of my fellow Liverpool fans don't realise that we're in big trouble defensively. Van Dhjk can't defend anymore, which explains why he always plays highline with opposition's strikers. He can't face them to take the ball from them. The success rate of strikers getting past him is 90%, letting in goals cheaply. We can't win any trophy with Van Dhjk, still our no 1 centre half. Quansah is trying but can't handle skilful strikers. Konate is on downward hill his performances of late have been mind troubling. We need at least 2 young top cetral defenders in Europe if we want to challenge for the title and win any trophy next season.
The more we have a playmaker centrally, the more goals our forward will score.. review the home win against Sheffield Utd where Smith Rowe played central and Eddie N scored a hat trick
10 games in Spurs fans thought they would win the league Well next they got City so 5 losses in a row coming
I'm crossing my fingers for a draw...
The problem with Spurs defending is that Romero and Poro do not want to defend both of them, are always high up the field, leaving Vander Ven to cover both 2, 4, and 5 positions . If Romero and Poro want to play up the midfield or striker, they have to tell the coach we don't want to play in the defense.
Style of play is on the manager, not the players.

Was a fantastic match. Still don't get why Klopp is leaving, Liverpool gave their all in this match and were denied a clear pen (again) on the foul of Gakpo. MacAlister the Argentine has proven to be a world class signing once he no longer had to play the 6 and Elliott played so well too. Spurs lost (again) but dominated the ball yet again, however, not enough chances and shots created. Liverpool played so well in both ends that no matter what Tott did Reds were going to win that match. Maybe Jurgen will change his mind like Xavi? Nope. Whatever club or country gets him to sign on for them (if any) next, is going to be very lucky. One of the very best managers the EPL has ever seen.
Spurs fans got carried away because Ange himself replied to media in January as to why they are not in conversation for the title when asked about top4 chances.
If Liv had played the way they played against spurs the few games before, we would still be top n heading for the title charge.
Where was this support for EtH last year…
Frank saying Liverpool started to go down when Salah got injured is a LIE! The team played better while he was injured. Even Nunez had his best run in the team during that time. The youngsters in the rotation carried the team without Salah and TAA. Jota was great! Go check the tapes Frank! The team went down after Salah returned.

Claiming Spurs were only beaten by teams who spend more is so delusional, it’s like burying your head in the sand. Very poor from a so called pundit. For the record I completely agree this Craig, Ange needs more time and Spurs were never going to jump from 8th to challenge for the title. However, if you look at transfer spend this season and over the last 5 years Spurs have been allowed to spend big
This is not about fans getting carried away. It's about his tactics and oppenets exploiting the weakness of his tactics and his refusal to change it or improve it.
Wow ETH would've have been slaughtered. Unbelievable.😂😂😂
these pundits haven't got a clue. Why are they saying Ange didn't spend as much as the clubs beating them? Only Chelsea spent more than Ange this season. He has been a massive failure this season. The truth won't hurt you
Fax. 🙌 Villa higher in table than Spurs and yet spent way less. Goes to show how crucial a manager is to success.
The team has spent a lot relatively but it's also a team that has needed a rebuild for a while. It needs time to be shaped especially with the drastically different nature of Ange's tactics. When we had Conte he was a practical manager and we saw that implode last year so a manager being given time and funds to reshape things is clearly necessary. Expectations at the start of the season were low from everyone and now that the reality of the squad have caught up lots of people want to attack Ange for not having been humble being that he's managing Spurs and the fact that the media like him for his honesty. In no way has he been a failure when no one even dared to predict a European place for a Spurs side that has only one consistent scorer that isn't named Harry Kane
No one is getting a free ride like Ange us getting

I don’t think they got carried away…the manager gave them something to believe in , they have played amazing football this season and they had a lot of injuries to deal with….i was happy for them competing like that and I’ve enjoyed all of their games this season
They do not play great football Craig, they’ve conceded almost 60 goals so far in the league. That’s shambolic for where they want to be.
They play exciting football...he never said they were a defensive team
Supporters and pundits are both fickle week to week
Craig is saying "lads, you're spurs"
craig is absolutely right about these fans making these unrealistic expectations of a manager who is new to the league but reason why a certain group of fans are mad isn't because he's been found out. It's because there are issues with his gameplan and tactics that leave the team vulnerable in attack and defense that has been evident for about 10 games that he doesn't want to adjust let alone address. the starting 11 hasn't been working and some players are either out form, inconsistent or not good enough but he keeps playing them. there are people on the bench could be put on and make an actual difference. I mean like did Dragusin turn down bayern only to get 2 appearance this whole time. maddison hasn't been himself but you prefer to kulu out of position instead of lo celso. I mean come on. why not have Micky at LB and have Porro move into midfield. The whole game plan from the start of the season had been fucked. we understand that it can happen since it's your first season. but what we can't understand is why you can't try or switch to a plan B when plan A has been utterly and totally fucked 🤦♂️🤦♂️
4 losses in a row and 13 goals is a terrible haha
4-2 is not a reflection of how superior Liverpool were. Problem was that the defence went to sleep because it was so easy and gave up 2 pretty awful goals, not for the first time this season.
If its not the first, then they didn't go to sleep. That's how they play 😅
He should sit in the Kop end for part of the match regardless.
This is starting to sound like a protect Ang at all costs campaign. London manager of the year is crazy but that aside, if Ang ball is to completely neglect any meaningful defensive strategy and wish on a prayer that you out score your opponent week in week out, then may Tottenham play Ang ball for the rest of my Arsenal supporting days. Attacking the fans reasonable reservations instead of analysing the managers evidential strengths and weaknesses is just disrespectful to the fans
Tottenham started the season off flying, 10 games undefeated they were actually playing a proper brand of football under Ange Postecoglu which was something that we never saw under previous managers and many believed that they were title contenders in the Premier League. Even though their form dipped, they actually managed to stay within touching distance of the top 4 while navigating many injuries and their players in the middle of the season were representing their countries at major tournaments: AFCON and the Asian Cup. They were outside of the top 4, they had a chance of trying to overtake Aston Villa in the race for champions league football. In typical Tottenham Hotspur fashion, they’ve bottled it once again during the most crucial stage of the season. As a wise man once said “it’s the history of Tottenham” and obviously everyone knew that they weren’t going to end this long trophy drought, now they’re out of contention to secure champions league football because they’ve won 2 out of their last 8 league games and have now lost 4 consecutive league games. 4-0 loss to Newcastle, 3-2 loss to Arsenal even they came back from 3 goals down it wasn’t enough, lost 2-0 to the worst Chelsea team we’ve ever seen and also their “Stamford Bridge curse” continued and also lost 4-2 to Liverpool who their season has unraveled themselves and are no longer competing for the premier league title. Since they’re in 5th place, had English clubs been doing much better in Europe this season, that alone would’ve been good enough for a champions league spot, but will have to settle for the Europa League.
Why is anyone surprised or upset that Spurs have gone Spursy? It's what they do.
How flip flop are these espn pundits are when its eth they are calling him clown when team had 60+ injuries but postecoglu they are just trying to hide him

Craig, Ange is being found out
2 Teams who had the "End Of Season" Jitters and Liverpool come out on top....which they need toifvthey are to compete in the ECL next season...
Nonsense. Tottenham had a new manager bounce early in the season. But Ange is out of his depth in the EPL. It’s as simple as that
Huh Craig doesn’t understand what Spurs objective is? The biggest stadium with the most expensive tickets, with an actual billionaire owner, every single things they have shows they’re suppose to be on top there. They actually have decent players as well. In short, it’s the top 4 Wenger’s vibe with Alexis Sanchez leading thinking they can do the impossible
They’re not in a bad spot but I don’t think that squad is near the quality of city/arsenal/liverpool. Lots of their players are over praised. Same thing happened in wenger down years too. Lots of players that were overrated and at the end of the day weren’t really top quality. 5th for spurs is pretty accurate and 4th would be a slight overachievement
@@Ray03595 yep in short they have the Arsenal syndrome. Selling best players pump in “prospect”. Son be next, and Levy will cash out for sure

Ange spent 30 million at celtic when the majority of the league spends 500k...cant do that in the prem and he spent a lot of money, spurs have outspent liverpool the last few seasons, 25 million for Dragusin yet doesnt play him...
If Spurs finish 5th good manager’s first year, but, performances are declining, the weaknesses have been found out and the manager is saying he is not willing to learn or adapt just needs better players. It would hard to have the 18 perfect players needed to make it work without changes. The squad isn’t bad a few additions and a good manager should get results.
Is the Aston Villa's squad that much better than Tottenham's? I don't think so. They just have a better manager
Right now, there's something remarkably underwhelming about Ange's tactics. It's like math versus poetry. No one ever fell in love with a quadratic equation, and no matter how brilliant or clever you say the equation is, it doesn't express what is in your heart. You might not agree, but many do. Yes, it's peculiar.

You are being harsh on the fans Ange won 10 games from 8 in that brilliant start, understandable ! they got carried away ! Lesson learnt now !
Craig is full of it. Take in the context of the situation 4 loses in a row no shame in losing to Liverpool and Arsenal but Chelsea and Newcastle have been struggling all season especially at scoring and you make them look like prime Barca? You can criticize the manager for that
No matter how poorly the season has ended for them, Tottenham have massively overachieved under Ange Postecoglu. Why, it’s because last season they were a mess as they finished in 8th place in the premier league meaning that they weren’t going to play in any European competition this season, the managerial situation was a circus for them as they had 3 different managers in a month and literally sacked their assistant coach. Not many people had high expectations for Tottenham especially after losing their talisman and greatest ever player in Harry Kane last summer. They started the season off very well and obviously you didn’t think that they would really challenge for the title, they were playing well to potentially secure champions league football or even Europa League at best, because Manchester City Arsenal and Liverpool (before their season ending collapse), 3 teams were competing for the premier league title and Aston Villa were flying. They stayed within touching distance of the top 4 for the most part of the season despite being plagued with injuries and key players on international duty. What Tottenham usually do best is crumble at the worst possible time. As they say, “Typical Tottenham” and a wise man once said, “it’s the history of Tottenham”. No matter how well they were playing, everyone knew that they weren’t going to win a trophy as that’s been the same story for them every season, a run of 2 wins in their last 8 games and 4 consecutive defeats means that they’ll officially be out of contention for the champions league places by the time they have to play against Manchester City where surprisingly they have to help Arsenal win the title winning some points off of them. Their record in that stadium isn’t great, Tottenham’s form doesn’t make people believe that they can take points off of Man City. I think that Tottenham fans shouldn’t overreact by saying that they need to sack Ange Postecoglu. That wouldn’t be a wise move from them they shouldn’t consider sacking their manager absolutely not because yes they wanted a top 4 spot, but considering the injuries and players playing for their country in the middle of the season combined with them literally losing their best player last summer, their season has some positives that we should be able to take and they can obviously strengthen their squad when the transfer window starts as they’ll be much more expectations on them next season.
