Thank you for sharing!
Thanks. Very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Nice one, got this car also but upgrading to Polestar 4 wen I take delivery of it ❤
Nice 👍
Do you think using the Apple CarPlay navigation with Apple's suggested stops would work as well? Rather than using the one inside of MBUX?
I haven’t really tried that. I tend to use the MBUX primarily coz I like the VR navigation. I’ll give carplay a try on our next road trip.
timely video. im considering getting the eqs 580suv so your video was helpful. for the charging stations on the road, how long did you actually wait to get to an available charger? does the app inform you with enough time so that no one else takes the spot? do you regret getting the eqs over a tesla?
Wait time varies. In this trip, there was a long line in Kettlemen City but I got into a spot right away in Firebaugh. App information is not that helpful either as it may show an open station but when you get there, it could be because that station is broken. No regrets with the car over Tesla for day to day use, but some regret for road trip. I’d still use it for road trip on regular day, but for busy holiday weekend, we’d take our Model X. MB is supposed to use NACS next year so that will be a game changer.
@@mailaandjames thanks. for the quick reply. its great to see someone local who did the sf to la trip since its good test of non tesla charging infrastructure. hope to get an eqs soon... so your feedback helped a lot
@@IrfanMAlamI had a model Y and now drive the EQS SUV 580. The Mercedes is superior in the sense of ride quality and luxuriousness. The Tesla was superior in technology and practicality. I’ve use the EA charging for the last year and it has been fairly reliable. I did the same trip from Sacramento to Long Beach and we only had to stop once for charging in a EQE 350+. Not sure how different the 580 would be. But frankly the stress is negligible. Once Tesla modifies their chargers to accept ccs vehicles, it should be much easier. But you’re fine either way. Most people don’t do long distance trips that often anyway. So it’s a small inconvenience (when things don’t go as planned) compared to a Tesla. But I can’t deny the Mercedes is a dream to drive. Especially the EQS 580.
Whtat was your consumption / speed throughout the trip???
Can’t remember the consumption but speed was 75-85 MPH. I tried to maintain 80 MPH.
Not really a road trip
It's at least seven hours of driving. It's a road trip.
