I can't be the only one who just spent hours scanning for resources and reading the flavor text for all the planets.
I read every single planet. Worse yet, I gathered every singe mineral/gas/element in ALL of my original Mass Effect playthroughs.

well never know ....
imagination is where all things start
ME had everything. My personal favourite.
I totally get what you mean. Although, if you want to get close to what space travel is (presumably) actually like, play Elite Dangerous. It's not for the faint of heart and has a steep learning curve. Frankly, it's pretty stressful, lol.
We just gotta find the prothean beacon on Mars, remember 1st contact with aliens is only about 26 years before the events of ME1. Anything could happen.
While it is a shame I missed out on the height of Mass Effect...I am so glad I dived into Mass Effect with the legendary edition this December of 2022...This game is a blessing, and it's such a vibe for me this Christmas. I am very late, but words cannot express how happy I am playing these games now. Mass Effect is truly one of the greatest games of all time.
all games i played gave me a vibe but the mass effect.. i can't compare to anything that spaceship's workers and dark blue theme at ship i love it
I've been eyeing up the legendary edition recently I'd love to replay the trilogy again from start to finish. I remember being so excited for 2&3 to come out back in the day I can't believe ten years have passed 😮😅
Weirdly enough, I also happened to stumble into Mass Effect around Christmas time. I try to do a full trilogy playthrough about once a year for that reason.
Better late to the franchise than never in my opinion. September is my N7 trilogy month. Haven't missed one in ten years.
I just recently began the trilogy over the past month or so. Almost finishing up 3, but taking my sweet time Beautiful games
12 years and this game is still amazing
Damn I feel old, 12 years already.
I wish I could have my memory erased just so I could experience this masterpiece of a game for the first time again…
I’m so grateful that at the age of 30 I’m playing ME serie for the first time, thanks to the game pass. Already finished ME1, almost finished ME2 after importing the save and super thrilled to play ME3 and MEA. What. A. Serie. Holy moly. Edit: original games, not legendary edition stuff. Original graphics and gameplays.
We brother I never owned 360 I was PS3 guy actually a SONY guys since the very first PSX , so I got myself a 360 around 2015 Christmas and got the trilogy and man it was one after another I love the first MASS EFFECT so much but 2nd is probably the best in my humble opinion.

Honestly, no game has been able to touch the Mass Effect trilogy for me on terms of story and immersion. It still bows to no one.
Agreed, 10 years later and its still the best game series ever. Nothing since it has been as great and honestly I doubt there will be anything like the MET again. It was a unique trilogy with peak Bioware character writing, same iconic protagonist throughout, choices mattering throughout the 3 games, a focused quality over quantity linear experience instead of open world filler bs etc. and the soundtrack was amazing too

I love how map music became an art form in video games.
bro. The nostalgia is kicking in. I got the chills
This is the main theme of the game as far as I'm concerned.
I feel like Mass Effect has a few tunes qualify as the defining themes for the series: galaxy map, Vigil (obvs), and either the Normandy music from ME1 (always annoys me that they didn't have something similar in 2 and 3) or M4, pt. 2 (aka the credits music for ME1)
@@aceshighdueceslow Let us not forget The Citadel: Upper Wards, CSEC: Atrium, Noveria: Port Hanshan Plaza, Mass Effect: Uncharted Worlds, and I am sure there are more.

Mass Effect 2 was my first foray into the series and I never fell in love with a world as fast as I did this one
I can recall many a time when I fell asleep on the the couch while playing this game and listening to this music. My mind refused to stop playing, so I would just sit in this mini menu contemplating my next space jump. Eventually, I would succumb to exhaustion, and would be soothed to sleep with this melody. I still use this song to help me fall alseep many years later.
No game has come close to how I felt when I finished playing the Mass effect trilogy. In my opinion, it is the best game series out there
My favourite game. In this game, the soul is projected literally in every detail. Everything is done with such respect for the player that for me personally, this is the best space trip in the world. I'm glad to be a part of this big boom on game history)))
Wish we could see more games like these :(

This track was able to put most of the family to sleep. I remember my parents 'letting' us mine planets for them before bedtime knowing half of us would be asleep before we got a turn. The kids were put to sleep, and they got free planetary resources out of it. Well played, mom and dad. Well played.
OMG... I wiped all planets of all systems clean of any valuable materials. Guess how much time that took me. Guess what played during that time. ...and the occasional "probe launched" voice

launching probe
This song takes me back to 2007, 2010, and 2012 when I played the Shepherd Commander games. :) So nostalgic and awesome.
In my opinion, this is the best video game theme in all of gaming anywhere. There are plenty of amazing themes in gaming that fit really well with the game or certain specific situations, however this one is good on its own and fits that. It conveys the feeling of mystery with a space like rhythm to it in a perfect way of making its very good sounding rhythm that is supposed to be the main beat this. Most gaming themes have a base theme then a lot of different background mini themes that add to the theme as a whole. This theme has that, but it conveys the feel of a mystery and space adventure so well that the mystery part blends perfectly with the space feel to make it sound absolutely perfect and make you sit there and ponder maybe through memories. Or perhaps the meaning of life or what you are gonna do when you grow up etc. it makes you wonder while also making you especially have a fun time exploring while in the world of mass effect, while playing the game. It's feel is like mario galaxy, but instead of calm it's mysterious; making it teach a different lesson than Mario Galaxy. Mario Galaxy teaches you sometimes you need to step back and take a breather whether it be stress, arguing, or even working out or dealing with a problem. This theme alone in Mass Effect teaches you how to wonder what the answer to certain questions are in your life while the feel also inspires you to keep going to see what's next like future of human race, future of your favorite game franchise, future of space travel, future of your family, But most importantly, The future of you
Who else read the entire thing?
@@Subuzy nah
i'll wait for the game
I stg I always felt like in mass effect 2s galaxy map there’s a slight addition with the illusive mans theme in the background almost as if it’s engrained into a Cerberus ship. Love it
Some music you can't just get out of your head. This is easily one of my favorites.
I always liked space, I played a lot of Kotor and Star Citizen but I had never tried Mass Effect before. Currently I am finishing the 2nd and I must admit that this music is probably the one that leaves me most easily dreamy to the point of sometimes opening the map without moving, just to appreciate it. Mass Effect is truly a video game monument and I really regret not being interested in it when I was younger.
