I was already not happy with how that game was going and I was hanging my hopes on those Skywings. :D My first thought was I got caught by an enemy super weapon... then I realized it was my ally.

Even though Uprising probably isn't very well balanced, I wish there was some way to see people play it competitively just for the spectacle
There is a mod that brings Uprising's units to base RA3. Not sure if they tweaked the balance, but it at least let's you use multiplayer
@@Chr0n0s38 yes, gigafortress is god vs ai, but turns out not so good vs human, as it's super expansive and late game unit

In the Uprising missions I would find which missions that the AI doesn't use support powers and build sim city bases. Base defenses and farm up veteran units so it was like watching a wave defense.
Not going to lie... I'm actually commentating your games in my head using your voice 🤣
What my friends and I during LAN parties often did was "Survival Modes" where X players were Defenders and the rest were attackers that could coordinate waves. It was a blast to do, and the last time we did it in RA3 Upheaval. I survived by there being just so much clutter that my shrinked MCV escaped and making just enough to defeat the last of the wave. Online Play could never replicate that same vibe, but it's still fun to come up with own game modes.

Watching this made me wish RA3 was playable in 60fps, it looks so much better and satisfying.
One strat is playing as yuri in red alert 2 skirmishes and beating the ai with only their units
There's something about turning the enemies units against them and only using their stuff to beat them that's very appealing.

If you ask specifically (description) I like to give myself 1-unit challenges in which I use but one unit trying to achieve for Instance commanders challenge wins from uprising. (But allowing base defences and support powers that do not summon new units upon the battlefield) For plenty of missions Yuriko is just the unit to go, BuT ... Did you actually know you can beat "the omega program" (the one challenge with cloned commandos) with a single Pacifier AFV, if you micro well?
Other than Yuriko, what are your other single unit challenges? I imagine some stuff you'd have to do 2 units so you can have anti air.
@@OneSybert Sure! Some missions can't be done only with 1 unit like"the motherland" but there are some that are just as doable. Dead Meat -> 1 Sickle might just be enough The spy's challenge -> A tesla trooper The one with the motar cycle -> 1 standart tank is enough There are various missions where a Futuretank X1 is feasable or a Harbinger . Nanoswarm hive - challenge -> Tanya "Two sides of the same coin" -> Mecha Tengu When 1 unit doesn't do the trick, I go by "as few units as possible". But Yuriko is your best bet in general. Addendum: in general doing it with one unit only is seldomly actually possible. But still trying to achieve a high efficiency while using as few units as possible is still entertaining and quite fulfilling once you did it.
Please do more of this no commentary play, only maybe add some challenge. Like, 2x3 Brutal AIs stupid strat, or deathless (that'd be hard), or 3x3 vs brutal, but your allies are easy and you're not allowed to lose any of them, etc.
I always thought it be cool, if the the rising sun had like a giga fortress, for the barracks and war factory and that all 3 would combine

I like the Soviet building system as at needs the fewest clicks and you can use your APM for bear scouting and getting oil derricks . Can you do someothing with reapers? Reapers should technically beat almost any unit if there is good micro with the reaper jumping ability.
It's a good unit in 1v1 but I remember there grenades having actual physics and colliding with your own units so you couldn't really use a lot of them.

The hologram of a line of units from your mouse? Its a move order with two mouse buttons at the same time.( maybe the middle button)

I think it's called "formation move" when you have units selected you hold both left and right click and then you can drag to get the size of formation and orientation that you want. Also it keeps all units moving at the same speed.

I have it through Origin, but you can also get both RA3 and Uprising on Steam. Or you could try and hunt down a used retail copy on Amazon or Ebay.

For me it was spamming prism tanks or chrono legionnaires in RA2.
Same. Once I figured out Chrono Legionnaires they became one of my favorite units of all time.
It's not fun but more funny I sometimes use the ZOCOM faction in Kane's Wrath and just spam Zone Raiders with their upgrades then just watch them demolish anything in their path as I call an attack move across the map
That's a good one. Zone Raiders are super fun to use.

I've cast a good bit of Generals Evolution which is a RA 3 mod. I haven't been sent any other good RA 3 mod replays.

Why AI doesn't send Cryo Legionaries into the turrets? That's could've helped against Kirovs & Harbingers.

c9q9md did it with only turrets, would love to see Vindicators only, no Cryos. Maybe a small number of Apollos could be allowed.

Steel Ronin are pretty neat, I've never had a special draw to Future Tanks, but I'd give them a shot.
@@OneSybert they are ludicrous against armored formations i killed 40 of my enemies tanks and 5 allied just from their sheer radius of explosion and on veteran they are the most powefull unit on land for me at least

There's no multiplayer in Uprising and most people don't play the Upheaval mod for RA3.

In terms of a 1v1, you'll want to get your build order figured out and practiced a little so that you can execute the beginning of the game quickly and efficiently. Then you want to focus on eco and macro to make sure you have the right units to beat the other guy (or AI) and enough of them.

The game is running at 30fps, but the footage gets interpreted up to 60fps in the edit. There is a tool that runs the game at 60fps, but it has bugs and doesn't work for everyone: github.com/MetaIdea/SageMetaTool

I love both red alert and tiberium wars but what I dislike is the community for console is very small I know older games are best on pc I just was never good with pc games
56:21 "Chrono Chasm" is pronounced wrong...it not cha-sm but ha-sm since it comes from the greek word chasma which means rift like how we mean dimensional rift for example
Most words have an origin in another language. Pronunciations change. Online dictionaries list it as being pronounced with a "k" sound.
