    • Boohoo 😢, cry all you want but it is not only the bruins announcers that are “biased”. Tom Wilson hits a vulnerable Brandon Carlo in the head Washington announcers: no contact to the head. The list of announcers being biased to their team goes on and on and people only point out NESN and not a single other team

    • As a Boston fan I’ll confirm that our announcers are indeed jock sniffing homers. Jack Edwards is so bad it’s cringe. Brinkley isn’t as bad but he can also be over-the-top. Around the NHL though most announcers are quite homer friendly.

Teams now are rare to even find one goon on them. This is the least physical era. This is the era of speed and advanced equipment, with each year of being less and less physical.

    • You can tell how young you are bud because the late 60's all the 70's and into the early 80's were nasty, nasty and the equipment was sub par. Crosby would not have survived but Ovechkin would have but probabily end up with a ripped apart acl or something career ending unless they surrounded him by enforcers.

  • Ohhhhh! Some of those hits looked brutal! I may not like the other team, but as a hockey fan, I just hate players getting injured! I'm a flyers fan, can only cheer for the flyers, but that doesn't mean I don't respect other players. If you ask me; most teams need an enforcer, I bet most of these plays go away.

    • Agree to a point. Think Subban would do all the dirty stuff he does if there were Chris Simon/Marty McSorely/Tony Twist/Bob Probert/Tie Domi/Scott Parker types? Simon, towards the end of his career could score and was still the most dangerous fighter. Tom Wilson? Brad Marchand? Lemieux? They wouldn't do the things they do if they had to answer to people like that.

He flopped like a fish. Crying about getting pushed in the chest off a faceoff? Getting tangled up with a guy skating along the boards and falling? This was flopping.

The butt end of the stick at 0:50 is questionable. 1:24 thats a head hunting cross check, thats dirty. Thats not okay for anyone to do. Do you really think none of these are dirty?

  • @2:37 I’m not sure if anyone has ever noted the fact that Ovi two-hands Crosby so hard across the back, his stick rebounds and smacks him in the head. Sid’s knees were buckling before Niskanen even hit him. I don’t think the “superstar” that is The Great Ape ever gets enough credit for his dirty work near or away from the play. You think Geico would pick this up? “Being a thug, so easy a cave man can do it”

    • Outside of standing still in one spot waiting for a one timer, the only other thing he's great at is cross checking. He really fits in perfect with the rest of the dirty Caps where he can join Wilson the headhunter, Oshie one of the greatest slashers of all time, and now Chara who is the real life Frankenstein's monster.

    • At least we were winning back then. Now the team has 0 identity. I still can’t believe Steckel got away entirely. No suspension, if I remember correctly. Total scrub altered his career and took him off the ice for like two years. Goes to show you that any given night could be your last. The Caps are such a grade A piece of shit organization. From Leonsis to Boudreau to Trotz to Ovechkin to Steckel to Wilson to whomever else you want to name. Fuck that entire franchise and fanbase.

    • Both the Bruins announcers and the Sabres announcer on the Zadorov hit ("thats a good hard hit" when the hit was after offsides called and Zadorov is pulling Eichel's head back with his left hand) were the worst of this bunch. Without a doubt though Jack is the worst announcer there is.

The list of announcers being biased to their team goes on and on and people only point out NESN and not a single other team

    • You don't realize how much damage happens to your elbow when you hit someone in the head with it. Jack Edwards knows and thank God for him telling us with such insightful whizzdumb. If it's an elbow from a Bruin, it does far more damage to the Bruin than the opposing player--who isn't even awake to feel any pain, mind you! Elbows are basically just glass. I mean, unless someone elbows a Bruin player. Then that elbow is a freaking battering ram made of concrete and titanium and probably cancer too. It's absolutely the worst thing ever. A literal war crime.
