Friendly Review of the LG Gizmo Gadget through Verizon (bit.ly/2hLLiMu). We have owned three Gizmo Gadgets for over a year now. An overall opinion is given at the beginning, and the detailed features are shown. The watches have held up very well over the year with no issues. You are able to program 10 numbers in them and find their location. They are packed with a lot of other features. Best unboxing review performance
I had a Gizmo Gadget for 3 years until I got a phone this year. Great quality and easy to use.
Accurate review! Another significant issue we have is that the GizmoHub app makes no sound when a message comes through, so we often miss texts and voice messages. Calls ring like any other call though.
That's serious. And kinda defeats the point.
I'm glad I kept trying different videos on this item because they all sucked and yours did not. You gave us a great look into the watch's functionality as well as an idea of what to expect during real-life usage. Question - on the step counter - did you gadget reset the steps daily? ours are carrying over and we can't reset them without doing a factory reset which erases the contacts and all settings - very frustrating! What am I doing wrong?

Did you or anyone find a protective film or tempered Glass for the GizmoWatch 2? The closest to the dimensions is Apple watch but it is not exactly the same size
Does these things work in Canada? I bought a pair for my two sons and we are unable to find the gizmo hub in the playstore. The Website says min android 4.0 and even with android 6.0.1, I'm not able to the app.
Can I use this watch with Speedtalk carrier?
I am wondering when you customize text messages are you still limited to 9 responses or are you adding in addition to the 9 pre programmed texts?
You are limited to a total of 9 text messages that they can choose from while using the watch. They come preloaded, but you can change the 9 messages. (The custom messages are not in addition to the preloaded messages)
Is there a vibrate option for receiving messages ? Would you say to get this or wait for the new release? Thanks

Do the gizmo watch have a school setting

we have the pals and they call accidentally. . . a little embarrassing to hear, "calling mom" out of the blue. does the gadget have the same issue?
We have the occasional accidental call, but it really doesn't happen very often

You have to have a plan in order to get this watch. I tried. So I have to go through my father who is a long time loyal customer.

Can this be put on vibrate to avoid disrupting situations where they should have sound?
They can turn the volume down, but I don’t think they have a vibrate mode. On the app you can setup silent time periods.

The Gizmo Pal or Gizmo Gadget? I believe the Gizmo Pal has less screen functionality than the Gizmo Gadget that I reviewed in the video.

I don't think they can connect to ear buds. Your kid might be getting a little on the old side for these if they want music and such like other smart phones have.

I just bought one for my 6 year old yesterday. At the Verizon store I went to, they were trying to get me to buy a walkie talkie type "accessory" for it. Maybe she would like that?
1. I've heard of some that allow the parents to "listen in" without calling. Does this have that feature? 2. When you say it won't track their wherabouts down to the nearest foot, how accurate would you really say they are? 3. Do you think there are any watches similar to this that are either better (whether more expensive or not) or maybe not better but comparable and less expensive?
1 - Yes, you can call the phone, have it auto answer and listen. This is useful if your kid doesn't answer so you can tell what is happening. Because you can do this when the phone is in quiet mode (they won't know), it is limited to around 1 min (if I recall) before it auto hangs up. 2.) You can tell which house they are in, and sometimes if they are in the front or backyard. If they were in a parking lot, it wouldn't narrow it down to a single car, but perhaps a group of a few cars. There are always some cases where GPS doesn't work well. 3.) The Gizmo Pal is cheaper but has fewer functions. There is the TickTalk 2.0 amzn.to/2BIp5at , the POMO R2 amzn.to/2BSO66O ... and many more. Many don't have great reviews. Perhaps some of it depends on the cell network they are using. Hi there. Did you run into the "please answer " error? The screen flashes "please answer " and will not let you disconnect the call?
No - we haven't ran in to that issue. We do have them setup so they can't hang up on us when we call them.
We've run into it. It'll happen if you call it (to find where it's been misplaced in the house, for example) and you hang up on it just as someone picks it up. The Gadget gets hung up thinking it's answering the call that never completely connected to it. The fix is hold the hang-up button until it powers off. Basically, power cycle the Gadget to reboot it. I'd love to find something like this with a few more features. Something a little more robust, software-wise, would be fantastic.

It does it when he calls me and he gets voicemail, the screen flashes "please answer" and will not let him hang up, even when he is trying to disconnect. No help from Verizon!
I noticed that when I was setting mine up yesterday. Only way to fix it was to turn it off and turn it back on.
Does this have a take me home feature? Helps the kid navigate home if lost?
No, the GPS really only helps that person with the app on their phone, not the person wearing the watch.

Yes - on the phone app you use to setup the Gizmo, you can go to settings and enable 'Quiet Mode'. This will silence the phone's ringtone, fun sounds, and touch sounds. You can also setup what is called 'Quiet Time'. You can setup 10 times during the day where it will automatically go in to Quiet Mode (such as during school). It will only show the incoming call on the screen, but not make a sound.
The Friendly Reviewer you see the incoming call on the screen.....you would still be able to call out as well, while on silent, right?
Can you track where your kids are even if the watch is off?
Unfortunately, no. The watch has to be powered on.
has this watch GPS to work with app tracker?
Yes - The watch has GPS. It only works when the watch is powered on. The app can get the position of the watch, but you have to wait between 30 seconds to 2 minutes each time you query where the watch is at.

What if your gizmo is dead can you track your gizmo still?
Unfortunately - no... That would be a nice if it would have some reserve power for that function.
Why did you skip pricing and services fees in the first minute of the video when talking about them?
They often change so it's hard to be accurate. When we got them, they were around $150 per watch with a $5 monthly plan.

It changes. Retail is usually $179.00 at Verizon Stores or Verizon Online. There was a $50 rebate recently and 50% with a phone purchase. As he said, it changes.

Yes - if you program the other Gizmo Gadget's phone number in it, you can call it. Our kids call each other all the time. Their cousin has one, and they will sometimes call and chat while playing video games.

Verizon stopped supporting the GizmonGadget phone. Don't recommend it anymore. We got one less than 8 months ago, and now it is a brick thanks to Verizon.
