The real reason they deleted it was because the person who made the hanboks posted on instagram about her work being in a music video she didnt participate in/ style for. Jyp came out and said they bought it from a store so they didnt see the resemblance to her work. Blackpink was dragged into it because in the end of their song how you like that the girls are seen wearing the hanboks ( fans focused on specifically jisoos as it had the most resembalance to dahyuns) so fans of both the groups got involved in this mess and hate was thrown at both blinks and onces instead we should come together and hate jyp thank you.

What do you guys think? Should the stylist go public about it or not? JYP explained that they bought the hanbok in a store (or something), so I really don't know. Maybe I'm biased, but I feel so bad cause situations like that only draws bad attention to Twice and the girls do not deserve that, especially coming from toxic fans. :c
the one who should be blame is stylish in jype, even there bought the hanbok from any store, but the stylish should recognize the hanbok because the hanbok style actually went kinda viral in korea ,the bp stylish actually won some award for the hanbok style, so it imposibble that jype stylish do not know about it. they can just giving credit to the original stylish but nah, they just steal the style. but twice really do not deserve any hate from this, the one should be blame is jype stylish not this 2 cute little girl.

I personally think the updated version flows better. But I like more cohesive shots than switching back and forth like they did in the chorus of the original.
As a multi stan i gotta say these stylists demanding copywrights on a fashion idea are ruining clothing artistry. Can you imagine painters of famous periods and styles insisting other painters to not use similar colors, textures, shading, brushstrokes? Art is art. It is to be shared and celebrated...not confiined or owned exclusively.
Fashion inspiring other artists has been a thing forever. Trends wouldn’t exist without it. Dior’s new look was revolutionary and you can still find references to it within modern collections and on the streets. Imagine if Dior spent all their time going after everyone who referenced it? They’d have no time for anything else. I believe in creative rights and fashion designers deserve respect for the work (I’d be a hypocrite to say otherwise, considering I’m a hobby designer who creates bespoke pieces) but there is a limit to what you can say is entirely your own. We all reference others, consciously or subconsciously; art is not created in a vaccum.

I don’t think you understand the issue in this particular situation. Jisoo’s hanbok was a trademark design made especially for her by Kim Balko, the specific design of it was made from scratch by a team of designers who put months worth of effort into making it. The hanbok that Dahyun is wearing was chosen by the stylist who most likely bought it off of someone making cheap replicas. This isn’t an instance of them buying a hanbok that simply “uses similar colours and textures”, it’s quite literally a replica. That’s why it was cut from the video, people were upset with the stylist for using a blatant replica of a hanbok that was an ORIGINAL design SPECIFICALLY made for Jisoo by a team of people who put months worth of effort into it.

@@Leafjade firstly, learn the definition of plagerism. Secondly, taking an idea and using it isnt plagerism. At no time did this stylist claim she came up with the idea first. Thirdly, the stylist for yg wasn't the first person to come up with this use of a hanbok. My morals are just fine. Your understanding of a word and its legal context is sorely lacking. Lol on that. Fashion trends are just that. From mini skirts to the rediculous half long dress half pants/short abomination no one owns a style. You can be the first to make it popular but, there is always somebody somewhere who did it under the radar.according to Dreyfus, " Copywright protects expression not the idea. Thus taking inspiration from a work of art in order to make a fashion piece isnt necessarily illegal...." the twice stylist was inspired by the idea ofthe hanbok use but, she Did not copy any print, design or pattern from the bp stylist.

Just like how you still can paint a picture of pigs dancing around a christmastree even if someone else did it, just not the same.

Honestly? Why are people throwing hate at the idols here? The only one to blame is the stylist. Even if imitation is the biggest form of flattery, it doesn’t excuse plagiarizing other people’s hard work. And if the twice stylist isn’t guilty of plagiarism, they wouldn’t have made an updated version of this video either 🤧 that jyp stylist needs to be careful and/or give credit where it’s due. I’m sure fellow stylists, even from other agencies will welcome “collaborations” between themselves. Also, please don’t hate on Dahyun and ChaeYoung. They had no say in what they were intended to wear in this video after all. Let’s support all our idols in a polite/mature manner ☺️❤️

I guess I'm in the minority. I like the updated version more as I found it more visually consistent with the music. The swapping of outfits to me was a distraction. Not saying they didn't look good, but it just - again for me at least - didn't work as well. I guess IMHO JYP should have left them both up and let viewers decide which they preferred. In any event the Chae & Dahyun did a beautiful job on both the video and the song. Wish it was released on Spotify - would certainly be on a standard playlist.

can everyone stop brining jisoo, dubchaeng, blackpink, and twice into this! this is a behind the scenes problem. blackpink’s designer called out the designer for this MV saying the hanbok dahyun wore plagiarized jisoo’s from HYLT. this is between the companies and the designers so stop putting the idols against each other and causing fan wars! we all know how little power both twice and blackpink get when it comes to clothing, concepts, lyrics, etc.
i’ve seen some comments so let me say one thing. no one is saying hanbok’s can only be work by BP but it was BP’s stylist who had the idea to make traditional hanbok’s more modern and hip. they could’ve totally done this idea and changed it up (like chaeyoungs hanbok was completely different) but dahyuns was literally a copy of jisoo’s. NO HATE TO THE GIRLS OR TWICEPINK it’s the STYLIST FAULT

@@modix176 Te informo que ese hanbok tenía copyright, fue diseñado exlusivamente para que Jisoo lo usara, la estilista de Twice lo usó sin pedir permiso así como si nada. Ahí es el único caso en el que "copiar a otros idols" se envuelve en temas legales

its the designer who puts a lawsuit of copyrighted outfit. they designed a designer hanbok and most designer stuffs cant be copied especially without the designer permissions. such a bummer the stylist of this project has to design a hanbok that look alike the one she made for jisoo in how you like that, so the designer allegedly filed a report to the stylists. either they pay or delete the scene. so its pretty much not about jealousy but a person who got their idea and hardwork stolen.

Y’all need to stop victim blaming. Those hanbok designs were made for blackpink and blackpink only. The original stylists made that clear. She even won an award for her work. And jyp did the RIGHT thing, take out the shots of them in the modern hanbok. What you should be mad about it that instead of editing the video they deleted it and reuploaded it. That’s jyp’s fault. Not blackpink’s stylists. She could of brought jyp to court if she wanted to be toxic. But she didn’t. She respectfully said her work was stolen and jyp took responsibility. They deleted it because the Hanbok was designed by a Blackpink's stylist only for Jisoo, the stylist have every rights to complain about it as he/she didn't got credits for it, JYPEnt. did the right thing because those Blackpink toxic fans will just hate TWICE even more and will spread detrimental narratives about the group, not to mention the current version they uploaded is far more better than the original as the suits fits more about the concept of the song and MV than those Hanboks.
