35 years ago, Poveglia was a regular destination for kayak excursions with my friends. We explored many times the abandoned buildings, but the scariest things (besides possible collapses) were the dogs we heard barking somewhere. The paranormal craze started only recently, I don't know why.

Also, room 873 at the Banff Springs Hotel is so haunted that they had to seal the room. If you are fortunate enough to get the chance to rent either room 871 or 875, you sometimes can listen to what sounds like a barroom brawl with furniture being tossed around via their shared wall with 873. Sometimes with crying and/or screaming. The weirdest thing is walking down the hall of this floor and it's room, room, room, and then on one side is a odd long stretch of wall. If you look close enough you can see where the entrance was as the base of doorjam remains in place. So weird.

@@NexuJin The home I lived in from 2002 to 2020 began having a lot of paranormal activity Dec 2018 to Oct 2020. Dresser drawers would be fully opened, heavy furniture on a carpet drifted four inches off the padding during a party, objects were removed from shelves and placed on the floor parallel to the floor boards, my sandals were moved and placed OCD under a glass case, styrofoam meat tray was removed from trash, placed on floor and milk was poured into it.

@@TeaCup1940 All events happened when I was in another room, but I did photograph the moved objects. During the party, I told my friends about the paranormal activity. While we had our backs turned to the dresser, when we looked back at it, and the top right drawer was completely opened.
Not sure if this is even possible, but it would have improved this video appreciably if footage of haunting activity had been included, where possible.

Please don't say asinine things like "a young black slave pressured into having an affair.". The reality is that a young black girl was repeatedly raped by a slave owning white man. The word affair is grossly misused here.
Don’t forget that people were paired off with the expectation of birthing an on going supplies of slaves. Probably expected them to be more compliant with their situation as it was the only life they knew.

Very disappointed how you downplay the atrocities that took place there. You rather play it safe I guess than be real, just like everyone else who never wants to talk about that time your ancestors were the worst ppl in the world. Worse than medieval horrors, worse than others on that list, because it all took place in the 18th-20th century (not being precise sorry 2anyone upset) but the point is, it really wasn’t that long ago, and it’s these many of those horrors that helped build American wealth along with England, Spain, and other guilty countries who prefer sweeping their dirt under their filthy expensive rug of guilt.
