After a chemical rust removal you can see powder coating with some electrostatic magic, the whole detailing process of the forged steel, how I make a new handle for the vice spindle and at the end of this tool restoration I show you the perfect result f this vice restoration.

    • Hey, danke recht sakrisch :) Ja, für ein Hobby rentiert sich der Aufwand doch immer, oder? Bei Brockhaus-Heuer Schraubstöcken ist es ja ganz extrem, weil alle 50 Jahre mal mit so einer Aktion wieder für die nächsten 50 Jahre zu sorgen, ist doch genial, oder? So ein Schmiedeteil kann man Generation durch vererben :)

  • Lots of filing and sanding instead of just filling the gaps with putty how it's typically done. The craftsmanship is very much appreciated. The coating is beautiful, would be a shame to cover it with gunk, dust and scratches, but I also hope this vise sees a lot of action And props to Brockhaus Heuer for such competent support of their products Excellent job 👍

    • Brockhaus Heuer states the production year is on the slide. So this vice is made in 1978.

  • Lovely work, very detailed keep the content coming . Ps the little metal bandsaw is a very useful tool I replaced the vice rod in mine with acme rod makes it even better . All the best from Ireland

    • Thank you very much my friend, I love this small band saw and it is so terrible cheap and you can cut almost exact as 1/10 of a Millimeter. I couldn’t believe this. What is an ACME Rod?

    • @@restorationhouserestorations That's impossible. Although i've seen many without a number, back then, when these versions were built, when there was a number punched in the gliding part, it was the production year. Your version was built from 1969 to 1996. The number in the gliding part is the exact year it was built.

    • Just send an email to the Heuer dedicated email adress, they will help you very quick! I think it is info@heuer.de Don’t forget to send the width of your vice and maybe a picture of it so the guys at Heuer can perfectly get you the right part kit.
