    • That's not why they were holding back in the beginning. They were holding back because even though he was funny and making good points about the risks of rescuing a dog, most people disagree with him and think that rescuing a dog is a wonderful and rewarding thing to do. Even if they themselves would not rescue for whatever reason, perhaps the ones he named, they still don't feel comfortable laughing at someone who's ridiculing one of the kindest, noblest things a person can do in their life--rescue an animal.

    • There is no cancel culture lol. Who has been cancelled in the comedy world exactly? Louis ck is selling out shows and touring, delia selling shows, cosby did shows when he got out of prison. Cancel culture isnt real, its just that bigotry and racism isnt mainstream anymore.

    • So I'm curious, which of these jokes do you imagine Bill would be cancelled for? Or are you just making up a situation that didn't happen to sound edgy?

    • Bill is literally as big, today, as he's ever been. And other guys like Andrew Schultz get away with saying much more. Drop the weak-ass persecution complex.

    • Carlin was a fanatic but he was funny as hell. At least his specials were funny until you realized he's an actual cynic and his "jokes" were his real opinions.
