totally. probably one of the tightest and talented live acts on the planet right now. Their intonation is great and slurred crossings are impressive. Intonation is very hard fretless when electrified. Quality monitors and keen muscle memory.

You have it backwards :D They play keys / bass on top of playing violin / cello, haha, learning it the other way around doesn't work as well... They probably both have a classical education in violin and cello since they were kids

One thing I love about L'Impératrice is their genre is really unclassifiable. It is just music. I am a classical musician (harpsichord, 'cello, piano, in that order), and honestly I would have no difficultly classifying their music as "classical". And yet of course it's not. I predict that their music, if there are still humans alive and there's still an internet 100 years from now (doubtful on both counts), will be considered as timeless as the music of J.S. Bach. Really superb.
A vous entendre j'ai des frissons partout. C'est magnifique. Quelle qualité musicale ! La chanteuse est incroyable, les musiciens sont excellents, la production est folle, les chansons super bien écrites, le son impeccable. Merci 1000 fois pour cette pépite ou plutôt ce diament véritable !
C'est incroyablement propre. La réalisation est incroyable. De la part d'un technicien, sachez que seule l'extrême frustration de ne pas avoir fait partie de l'équipe vient entacher le plaisir de découvrir une musique, une image et un son d'un tel niveau. Vous prouvez que concert en ligne n'est pas nécessairement synonyme de réduction technique et musicale.
Pourquoi une telle frustration? Je comprend, je suis ingénieur son et caméraman, mais je ne ressent aucune frustration, juste de l'inspiration. Cela dit, ce concert est certes ce que l'on nomme un "live" mais ça n'a clairement pas été diffusé en direct dans cette version (à moins que le violoncelliste est un jumeau qui jouait sur un toit au même moment dans la première chanson :P). Il y a beaucoup de montage aussi... certes c'est une production exceptionnelle mais on ne peut pas comparer ça avec un concert en direct, du moins pas cette version-là...en tout cas j'espère que ça t'enlèvera de la frustration!
Stumbled on L'Impératrice by accident and was so totally blown away I bought all their albums on CD and Vinyl. What an incredible band of musicians, songwriters and performers

And the band is only eught years old, with Flore joining in 2015. So there's plenty more to come. Beginnings are sometimes shy and discrete... not with them, they were a talent- rocket from the get go.

Pareil ici, j'avais déjà écouté l'impératrice avant d'avoir mon casque, mais c'est seulement depuis que j'ai le casque que je profite de chaque note d'incroyable basse, des petits licks de guitare et des petits sons de cymbales bien placés.
