I have just started to learn turkish and I want to let you know i am waiting for more of your videos.. From all the sources i could find on the internet your videos and the Language Transfer app are the two that I find relevant for beginners because of the context that you and LT gives in all that you teach because of which we "understand the language" rather than memorize it. Now I am studying and practising with the help of your channel. Turkey has some great writers, literature and poetry and since you mentioned Elif Safak, I thought I'd share that one day I wish I will be able to read her books in Turkish, as well as Rumi, Yashar Kemal and Orhan Pamuk

the word "olduğunu" is a combination of three different parts: "ol", "-du", and "-ğu". "ol" is the root of the verb "olmak", which means "to be" or "to become" in Turkish. i.e olmak ya da olmamak= to be or not to be The suffix "-du" indicates that the verb is in the past tense. It is the past tense marker for the third person singular. It is used to indicate that something happened in the past. The suffix "-ğu" is the marker for the subordinate clause, which means "that" or "which". So, when combined, "olduğunu" means "that/which he/she/it was". It is the third person singular past tense form of the verb "olmak" in the subordinate clause. Ol--be/exist/happen/occur/become oldu- happened/existed olumlu-positive olumsuz-negative Öl (mek) (To) die Öldü --Dead Ölüm--Death Ölümlü-Mortal Ölümsüz-Immortal Ne oldu ? What happened ? Kim öldü ? Who died ? (As we refer to living thing, cant use ''Ne''-What) Ne olduğunu biliyor musun ? --Do you know what it is ? Kimin öldüğünü biliyor musun ? -- Do you know who died ? Basic versions Ne oldu biliyor musun ? Do you know what happened ? Kim öldü biliyor musun ? Do you know who died ? Both basic and complex usages ok grammatically, almost same meaning but Complex usage (extra suffixes) emphasize specific event/person

Gelmektedir = 3rd singular person of the word and has received attachments in a present tense. It is not a rule but it is more formal, I mean its sound formal and you can use it for "siz" like this: Sizin siparişiniz 30 dakikada gelmektedir. (your order comes in 30 minutes) Görmektedir and göndermektedir have the same attachments. If you want a sample sentence: Sizin gözleriniz uzağı görmektedir (Your eyes can see far away) Çalışanlar kargonuzu göndermektedir. (Employees send your cargo) If you don't understand, that's fine:) we don't use these words very often in everyday life. Usually used in more formal places
