This comment section is so relatable that it gives me confidence Knowing I'm not the only one in the world that doesn't know how to swim
Zaezae same
Things should've changed by now
Same!! I believe that soon we will all be swimming like it’s no problem!!
Can you swim now?
you're black
I want to float instead of drinking a whole entire pool.
nayo1618 I can relate 😢
Lol, no hate I promise
😂
totally can relate
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 This just made my morning...
*me watching the video* : im gonna end Michael Phelps whole career *me in pool* : the only way to move around is by sticking to the edge
😂😂😂
Omg !!...this is literally me , only sticking to the ladder ..lol
My bro in pool:floats* Meh in pool:just hang on the edge*😂😂
My exact thoughts 🤣🤣
This is literally me
The crazy part is I know how to swim but I don't know how to FLOAT 😭😭😭😂😂🤣😂🤣🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Me too 😂😂😂
Same, shit mad embarrassing 😂😂
We on the same boat 😂
Same
Lmao same, i've only been practicing with neck deep pool height might be the main reason why tho. It's kinda hard to find a swimming pool that deep in here tbf
The water being so deep is giving me anxiety and I’m not even in the pool
Phobia. If you're afraid of the deep, im afraid of heights. Just looking down on tall buildings, as high as the 6th floor gives me anxiety already. My legs gets weak and wobbles like a newly born calf.
Same... I've always wanted to conquer my fear of deep waters but I can't seem to do it lol
Sucks cus I have both fear of heights and depth
It ain’t even that deep lol. It’s scary on video, but when it’s all blurry or with goggles it’s not.
I felt the same way😄
I 'swam' (more like waddled) to the deep end once without knowing then my sister told me I was in the deep end (knowing I can't float/swim) and then I panicked and started to drown. Confidence is quite important. It's all in our heads.
Yeah that happened to me too but my mom told me to go and she will hold but when I search for her I found out she was with my brother and then I started panicking and drawning but then a man came up and saved me . I felt like it was the last for me it was horrible actually :-\
@@callxry7427 Damn
Lol I'm here because my kids 11 and 6-year-old. Did the same thing to me and I'm 39 they told me that I was in the deep end I panicked luckily the corner was not too far off and I swam over there or whatever I did. You're right it is all in your head it's the feeling of not being grounded. It's easier to learn at a early age that's what my kids did with no help from me cuz I don't get in anything I can't stand in.
Damn. I would've just told you to come to a shallower area and said you were on the deeper end and that you were floating lol. Kinda gives you a confidence boost
I am so afraid to go down. Once my feet leave the ground I panic. I should focus on controlling myself in the water. Instead I allow the water to take control of me. It's definitely the power of ones mind and a little confidence. I hope to be swimming soon.
"This is wrong, this is like panicking," classic visual comedy😂
I didn’t laugh
He force it cuz he don’t know how to panic 😂
“Just feel your body float up to the surface” Me: *body continues to sink*🙃
Body refused to float 🤣🤣🤣
Mmm I'm
@@mattfproductions3651 I KNEW ALL FNAF KIDS ARE FAT #FAT #STAYWOKE #SUS #FOREVERSUS

I almost drowned just sitting and watching this. This whole video gave me anxiety. Lol
🤣🤣🤣 I know right
The fact that this guy has taught me more in 5 minutes compared to what my school taught me is actually shocking, at school they only teach you to swim laps not how to float or even equalise pressure my squeezing your nose than breathing out
In many of EU schools (specifically Nordic countries), an approved swimming test (containing: 200 meter non stop chest swimming + 50 meter non stop back swimming + rescuing a doll from 3+ meter depth) is required to obtain a grade in sport subject, and the test shall not exceed 20-30 minutes for all the 3 parts
My school doesnt even teach how to swim
woah it's crazy cool that your school even teaches swimmimg
My school only required us to jump in the pool and thats it lmao. They banned swimming classes when i was in 9th grade. Such a shame.
Ur school teach how to swim??????
I can swim in the shallow end but once I can't touch the floor, I start to panic without even trying to panic. Edit: I finally learnt how to get over that fear and now can swim anywhere! It's crazyyyy guys, I just practiced, challenged my mind and WOWWWW!!
you're not alone bro.
i was at the same place, but once you learn this or dog swimming you'll feel more confident
I'm the same
Thats like 99% of people on non swimmers. I think real swimming is being able to not panic or float with ease in deep water if you feel off a boat or thrown into 15 feet of water.
Exxxxxactly.... Searching for many years who can help me get over this 😀
I think if I had him as my swimming teacher I would have learnt how to swim in a short period of time, lol... His explanations are so good :)
Step number 1 go to the shallow end of the pool Me: hold on let me bring my life jacket first
PikaTzuuu try to get used to it maybe
@Mr.Pikachu29 O_o it has nothng to do with weight. Or at least that's what i think. I'm a little fat too and I'm actually fine. I just need to know how to kick my legs repeatedly lol.😂
@Mr.Pikachu29 O_o overweight people are actually good when it comes to swimming. The key plan is to be able to keep air in your lungs.
I prefer to go to baby pool even though Im an adult
@Mr Apostle Late reply. Nah weight doesn't prevent you from floating, it's most likely that you either not skauling correctly or you not moving your legs enough. Basically if you do step 2 properly you should be able to float.
I ran out of air watching this. Help?
me too lol
Hi liza
Blunk spotted XD
go to the hospital if u cant im srry
*Blink
My guys literally chillin at the bottom of the pool
"This is wrong, this is like walking" *man continues to float perfectly lol
0:59 that's how i float. Haha. 😄
Me too😣😂
Don't let anyone tell you otherwise
I panic
O yeah me too 😂
Alca Bringer same I freak out so much🤦🏾♀️
A dead body will come up at 3:39 if it was me
Right I was thinking the same, I am over here for like ten seconds underwater and I feel like I am on the verge of dying after those 10 seconds.
🤣🤣🤣me too
xD
Same lol
you got me there
I love the wide shots of the pool when you swim down!
Floating is the one thing I never got right about swimming. Thanks for this video. At least now I know the basics and can practice till I get it right
How do you stay calm?😂
Alicia Cristy ikr
Dont let your mind get you. Just like when you hold your breath, when you feel like u cant do it any longer you actually can. "its all in your head"
Practice
Alicia Cristy lol 😂
Alicia Cristy just think your in a fluffy world and feeling comfortable
Am I the only one who gets scared by deep water? I feel I'm in the ocean and something is going to attack me.
Nope, but i only feel like that if seaweed touches my foot! Dx NOPE!
No you're not the only one.
@@kyrxon277 that happends to me too We are twins 😂
Killer Queen nope.... from above the pool, the water looks so deep like 5 feet or deeper 🤦♀️
kinda i feel like a shark is gonna come and bite my leg off LMAO
Thanks 😎 I can do this The fears we don’t face become our limits
I’m only watching this so I don’t humiliate myself when I go to visit my friends at the beach
You alive now??
same, except for when i go to the pool in 2 weeks-ish
be careful using this at the beach....pool water and beach water are not the same....no currents pulling or pushing in the pool.
homie died
@@GalaxyEscliping F, oceanman take me to the land im drowning ocean man
Actually at 4:18: You should REALLY be careful while swimming next to one of those drains at the bottom of the pool. They can create problems for people and there have been accidents where people get "stuck" next to those drains and not be able to get up because there are some sort of "suction" if you are close to those drains. Avoid them if you can.
Pool drains should be equiped with VGB compliant drain covers that prevent this type of accident from happening. i dont think its legally required everywhere though.
Also avoid watching Final Destination.. 😂😂
Omg galing
StayReal02 you straight bullshittin bro. These “drains” only work if there is no cover and if they’re turned on. You watch too much Final Destination.
Literally the only reason I watched this vid
3:23 scared the shit out of me. If the deep end is *that* deep, then I don't think 5 steps can help me.
Bruh imaging running out of air as soon as you get to the bottom And start panicking That’s what happened to me smh
😅😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@pilot4910 don't understand what u say
Ikr? It looks massive. Freaks me out because ive read so much about ppl blacking out
Its only 2 m deep lol
Thanks Christian!!! Your videos are super helpful. God bless
I'm learning swimming and I've sort of got the basics, I think the last part is to learn how to float in the deep end and to get over my fear. the video initally was scary for me but watching him at the end of the video swimming down to the bottom then calmingly floating up was kind of soothing so i hope my fear goes away soon and i get to get back to swimming after Covid is over :)
One of the best how-to videos I've seen in a long time; bravo sir!
Thanks
just fucking watch how to basic you idiot
@@Christian_Wedoy is there any water comes inside your ear that is the thing that makes me feel panic when i am in the water....☺☺☺
My father has always been saying relax your body to float but since I saw this video I realised that conservation the air within your body is the essential thing to float
I like to practice the panicking technique 😆
I love your instructions. It sounds way better than the other videos I’ve watched. I’m 25 atm and I’ve never had enough balls to learn to swim. I was planning to learn through classes, but the pool is deep and that alone is holding me back from going. That and a bit of embarrassment. However, I know a hotel that has a five foot pool. Shitty depth but I’m a shitty swimmer. I just came from your other video. I’ll be trying the other one first before this one.
Who else watching this to prepare for summer 18? Lol
Galaxy Gameplays Nooooo it take confidence bro lmao
20 for me but still! I'm having a pool party at school for a celebration. And they test us to see if we can swim so they know which deep or shallow end we can go, but I can't swim, last time I failed and everyone kept pressuring me saying that u need to learn how to swim and stuff, and I cried bc that embarrassed me and I'm sensitive, now I'm gonna feel embarrassed again :(
Lol me
lnfu facts can’t be the only one of my friends that can’t do it
Me ... xD
So you are saying I need to do moon walk under the water to float🚶🚶🤔🌚
That's what I actually saw as well :)

Thanks a lot Christian, your video helped me. I've never feared the deep end even when I jumped the first time, but I could only swim and not float. After I tried your technique, I can float with ease. Thanks a lot.
this is the best video on how to float standing woow, that is always my problem I know how to swim but cannot stop till reaching the pool wall although I know how to float but I feel panic in deep .. now in this video I knew the technique I use to do in floating is wrong I do like stairs or bicycle ... I will practice @christian technique Insha'Allah hope it works with me ..Thanks coach 😊
I love the way you describe the steps. You make everything seem so easy and a lot of what you’ve taught in your videos has been easy for me to learn. Taking swim lessons now but I’ve already learned so much from you that I’m ahead of my peers
As someone who really wants to learn how to float in the water and afraid of the deep, I find this video very helpful and give confidence that I will be fine next time if I do this steps. Thank you very much 😊
I used to be so scared of water and never knew how to swim. Watching this video made me gain my confidence and now i know how to float!(without drowning lol)
Thank you Christian. Very helpful 👍👏

Am I the only one sinking to the ground when taking a deep breath 😂
Yes, you are.
You're not alone. Me too!😂
I once went to one of my friends' house because they told me that they wanted to do their homework with me. But once I got there, I saw them swimming in the pool with 2 of my other friends, and then I said "I thought we're gonna do our homework together?" And then one of them said "Oh come on, we're just having fun together. Do you want to join us?" I can't swim but I wanted to join, and so I tried to float like in this video, but instead I was floating at the surface in a sleeping position and I don't know how the heck I managed to do that to this day
I always wanted to try this! I will do this after the pandemic, thanks!

it's well explained. thanks a lot sir. thank you for this amazing vodeo
I hear a lot of people asking what is the point of floating, well, here is one of the many reasons: Floating technique is very crucial when you are out in a lake and your muscles getting tired / exhausted and you cannot swim anymore. What you do is take a deep breathe, float on your back a bit to regain some energy for your muscles to relax. Keep your breathe half a minutes. Breathe out but then you have to flay your arms a bit like in 1:21 in this video so you don't sink. After that repeat the process again by deep breathe , hold it and lay on your back again to float to rest. This technique is just for YOU to survive when you are getting so tired that you can't swim any meters anymore. You basically just buy yourself some time to rest at one spot in the lake until you have energy back to your muscles so you can continue to swim back to shore. Without this technique , you would just sink and die whenever your muscles are too tired too work. You can also use this technique to swim on your back as well since it is less tiring than to swim on your chest facing the water. You can float AND swim at the same time which is very crucial for less experienced swimmers or swimmers who don't have good stamina for longer swims.
Excellent advice, thankyou.
StayReal02 My long legs are the problem why I can’t swim
in australia we dont have lakes so if we float you get water in ur nose
Up
Basically backstroking which is probably my best stroke & takes less energy, just buoyancy.
Thank you for this demonstration.
This is a really good tutorial, I can’t wait to try this
very useful. thank you
Thanks for the video super helpful. As a kid swimming in the deep end was always scary for me but now it seems kind of fun. Do you have to pass the deep end test to swim in the deep end?
After watching your video, I learned how to swim in a matter of one hour! For years I tried to learn how to swim but couldn't get rid of my fear of water. Thank you for your tips. God bless you!
Thank you, I have never learned to swim, the information you have shared here may assist me should I find myself in a body of water.
NICE....THATS REALLY WORKING!
Thanks
You should lay on your back while floating. Move your arms behind your head in the water. That will help lift your chest and stomach out of the water. Relax your legs at the knee and let the lower legs hand down in the water. Your pelvis and chest should be at water level. Breathe normally or slowly while briefly holding your breath to maintain buoyancy. Use your arms and legs to move your body through the water. You can float and swim in the water like this indefinitely without getting tired.
I needed this.. Thanks mate👍🏿
Wow. This is the best steps. I'm gonna try it.
I didn’t even learn to swim until 22 and that was a doggie paddle and it took me so long because I would panic. I was also scared of drowning due to the water. After I got over that fear ( a little) I learned to freestyle swim by 23 (age). I still can not float while staying still and I hope this helps me. It’s so odd because I feel like I should be in the water all the time and I love it but the same time my fear of drowning gets in the way. I will update how this goes for me later on
update pls
