I highly recommend this stove! So far my biggest problem is remembering to clean it periodically because it runs so efficiently.
It has been the sole heating source in our home this fall and winter. It is a very serviceable unit. Part replacements will be easy to do. Cleaning is very simple with the aid of a removable ash pan. The videos on the CB youtube channel cover everything I need to know for long term use. I would be very surprised if I needed to have a tech out to do any repairs.

I have that exact one . Bought a replacement kit for under $300. Computer, fans, auger motors. Just in case. 1400 dollars a year for heat. Can’t beat it
I currently have and might I say very happy with an older model Lennox stove. It is getting old and a complete rebuild runs over $1200 so I plan on replacing it with the HP22. I also have an Evergreen Next Gen wood stove insert and a furnace which is used occasionally just to keep it functional. The feeling one gets from the deep penetrating heat from a wood stove fire just can't be beat but at 70 and retired I have to ask myself how long I can deal with firewood. The pellets are heavy but I store them just outside in a dry shed so I can break them down. In 5 years with my stove I have never used any cleaners for my glass. I take a wet paper towel and dip it in the soft silky ash powder and using circular motions it removes 100% of the dirt and soot. It needs to be rinsed well and dried. This is my second year with the sister stove , HP21, and I love it! Like this owner, I initially had issues with airflow control, but a call to the Comfortbilt techs fixed that. I vacuum mine completely every few days--no big deal. Takes me 5 minutes. Have learned a lot about care & maintenance the old fashioned school of hard knocks way. For example, I use the insulation pad from an exhaust manifold kit to replace the worn blower flange gasket which inevitably disintegrates when removed. I also really see a tremendous difference in quality of pellets sold nearby. I swear by Golden Fire, sold at Lowes, even if they are a bit more costly. We can’t get hardwood pellets out in the West, so premium softwood is our best bet. Somebody asked about the knob on the top front of the stove-it’s to periodically manually scrape the carbon buildup inside the stove. Watch out when pulling on that knob-it’s mighty hot! I have halved my gas heat bill this winter, and my stove also keeps my house at 70ish. Most of all, the warm fireplace-like flames provide a welcome coziness during these long Utah winters.

propane an natural gas will get expensive more an more, be prepared for an alternate heat source, i paid 1400 for a pellet stove, used it for a few days in my outside gym, my neighbor came over, he walked into my gym at 2am, he was like what the hell is that, i showed him, he liked it so much he bought one and had 5 pallets delivered, cheaper than i could he knew a guy, he ordered 2 pallets for me i paid him what he paid,,, his is in his house his wife and kids came out to thank me for my idea, they said their house went from 63 degrees at a cost of 534$ to 71 degrees over night, they are so happy,,
Hello, Thanks for the video! Do you get the nice fireplace woodburning smell with this unite? I'm trying to decide if I should go with a pellet stove, but I want to be able to smell the fire place smell. Thanks!
No, you wont get a fireplace smell from it. You do get the constant fire light. Nice to have when the it gets dark so early. The quality of heating is worth it. Last winter it cost us about $450 a month in LP to heat the house to 65. This winter it's about $150 a month to heat the place to 72. When I lived in the Colorado mountains, I had a wood stove. That put out a ton of heat. However, I had to put wood in at least every 2-3 hours to keep the heat going. The pellet stove needs pellets every 8 hours and the heat output is always constant.

@@outspoken78 You're very welcome. You will not regret a pellet stove. Just make sure you get one from a company that will stand behind it. Comfortbilt does a great job of that with their youtube channel. Cleveland Iron Works makes a great stove, but their customer service is the worst.
What size exhaust pipe chimney do you have? Looks bigger than the usual 3”
It's 6 inch at the wall. That connects into a normal chimney. There was a gas stove originally. Not sure why it needed 6"
What size home are you heating abs what kinda of burn times are you geting
It's about 2600sqft. We leave the central air system fan running. The stove is set to manual 2. Sometimes 3 when it's negative temps. It burns 24x7.
I have two wood-burning stoves one in the main floor and one in the master bedroom. I’m definitely considering replacing the one in the main room, the wood-burning is nice but it’s so much work. I spend so much time working with the wood when I could be doing other things and let the pellet stove do its job. And if anything happens to the To the pellet stove I could always run the one in the master bedroom I also have LP gas too, But I try to stay away from that as much as possible.
Well, this pellet stove made winter very easy. It just ran 24x7 and kept the house above 72. It ran so well, that I would forget to clean it for 2 or 3 weeks. It really should be cleaned one a week. The gas (LP) furnace never ran all winter. The cost of LP is much higher than wood pellets. It'll pay for itself by the end of next winter

@@10469 You won't regret getting that stove. Again, it's the Comfort Bilt HP 22N. I've had pellet stoves before. This one is the most impressive. Plus the ComforBilt KZhead channel has videos on how to do everything. I'd fill the hopper at night before bed. Top is off again around lunch the next day. And forget to clean it for weeks. The quality of heat was better than the furnace because you have hot air going 24x7. And a nice nice fire glow (if ya clean it once a week)
@@aspireranch I was burning a woodstove for three days a week we bought a place in Saratoga New York and I go up there every weekend check on the place and work. The wood burner is nice but has lots of maintenance taking care of. I’m not lazy, I’m just looking for less things to do. lol.. But mainly it’s for the girls who can’t manage the wood I find is wood pellet stove much more easier for them like I said I have a wood burning stove in the bedroom as a back up and gas as back up also. But I’m definitely getting the pellet stove this year.

The control panel has a variety of settings. Including a time and day. You can check the owners manual online first to see if it'll do what you're looking for.

I still highly recommend this stove. Going into it's 3rd winter with zero problems. Always consistent heat output. Always fires up and runs reliably. Some of the best money I ever spent.
We just installed ours. It isn't our first. It's a tad smoky on startup. Was yours?
It'll smoke during ignition. Then stop when the flames start up. If there's a lot of smoke and slow to flame up, check the firepot. It may not be seated correctly

It helps clean the top heater pipes.
I have the same unit and I ran it for less than 5 days and I have black soot build up on top of the heat exchanger underneath the colored lid. Is this normal do you have black soot also in the same spot i used a wet rag to clean the surface.
It's normal for ash to collect on the pipes. There's a nob on the front to pull for the scraper. However, too much build up may indicate an air flow problem. Take a look at their KZhead video on air flow.
@@aspireranch no you misunderstood me im talking about outside the unit on the top just below the colored lid which has two screws holding it down. Its the area right below the air vents on the top

@@jamesonjames8610 You should not see any soot or ash on the outside. Make sure there is nothing on the door gasket that could be allowing soot and ash out.
How is the stove doing 2 years later
It's still running as good as the first year. It paid for itself last January. I highly recommend it.
Your glass, does it just need a cleaning or does that permanently stay like that? Can that ash staining be removed?
It comes off with some scraping and window cleaner. I use a 3m pad sometimes.

@@aspireranch no cleaners at all. a simple paper towel with water dipped in the soft silky ash powder will take off 100% of the dirt and soot. Just use circler motions and rinse well and dry.
Did yours have a weird smell? When it was burning ?
No it didn't. Just wood smoke smell if I opened the glass door. The vent pipe had a manufacturer smell when it was first used. That smell burned off the first day.

how many watts doe the pellet stove use in electric and how much does it weigh
I'll have to check the specs on the watts. It doesn't use much. I have not noticed much increase in the electric bill. It weighs a good 160lbs or more. I could move it on my own with a heavy duty hand truck. If you're doing stairs, get some help.
How's the long term review?
It's still running great. I see no difference from the first year. It's still using the original ignitor. So, zero maintenance costs for 3 years. It paid for itself last winter. I highly recommend it.

My new stove says low temp?
Usually that happens when pellets are not moving into the firepot. Make sure the hopper door is completely closed. The door switch will stop the auger even if a small obstruction is keeping the door from closing completely.
