Israel’s bombing campaign in Gaza has killed more than 10,500 Palestinians, including dozens of family members of award-winning Palestinian American writer, poet and physician Dr. Fady Joudah. “It is really beyond words to describe what it means to be a Palestinian in this moment,” says Joudah, who calls for the humanization of the people of Gaza and allowing more Palestinian voices into the public spotlight. “Palestinians in the West are only alive when they are dying, and that is abhorrent and unacceptable.”

But just like on the USA border, I'm sure most ppl just want to get on the other side to have access to better things and a better life. Not to say there's no bad apples but there's bad apples in every society, that's just human nature. Its funny how the USA didnt like the Berlin wall, when Russians built the wall. • This rings true. When this conflict first arose again, my husband held onto many prejudiced views about Muslim Palestinians, citing their lack of civility and propensity to launch unprovoked attacks. However, upon questioning, he couldn’t pinpoint any specific instances; it was an engrained bias. Since then, we have both delved into the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Ultimately, Israel resorted to terrorist acts in 1948 to secure the land forcefully, taking the Palestinians land, laying the foundation for ongoing conflict and the current manifestation of an apartheid regime by the Israelis. Sadly, the Palestinian people remain voiceless in this tumultuous narrative

    • There is no such thing as a Palestinian state. Yochaved Lifshitz, who was a hostage of Hamas and was born in Israel 85 years ago, is more Palestinian than the speaker in this video. In 1948 there was a war that Arab countries started because they refused a two-state solution. And since then they have refused this solution 9 times. Why? Because they want the State of Israel not to exist. They want to murder an entire country. Read on Google in English, everything is listed

  • In Gaza's troubled land, where woes reside, Zionists rain their fire, no place to hide. Innocence shattered, lives lost in the night, May Allah's grace guide them to the light. In fear and despair, they dwell day by day, As homes crumble, loved ones fade away. Children, the most, bear the heaviest weight, Their innocence lost in a world of hate. Palestinian hearts, burdened by despair, Seek respite from a world that's far from fair. Over eleven thousand lives taken away, In Gaza's tragic night, they've lost their way. With basic needs scarce, they struggle to survive, Innocent souls left barely alive. Blocked from resources, their hopes are cast aside, Yet Allah's mercy, in their hearts, abides. Hospitals damaged, clinics in despair, Medicine scarce, a world of pain to bear. Their suffering vast, as they fight to stand, In the face of destruction, they seek a helping hand. Ordered to leave, to seek safer lands, Yet dangers abound in desolate sands. Civilian lives targeted, a cruel display, Allah's justice will find its way. Human rights denied, a cruel, unjust fate, Their cries for freedom, we can't understate. Isolation deepens, hopes slowly fade, Yet their resilience endures, they won't evade. Poverty and joblessness, the heavy toll, Economy shattered, taking its toll. Hunger's cruel grasp, as food supplies decline, In the midst of suffering, they continue to shine. Environmental woes, the land cries out, With water tainted, filled with doubt. Air and soil polluted, a heavy cross to bear, May Allah bring relief, to clear the poisoned air. Israel-Palestine, a history long and torn, A struggle for justice, from night until morn. The world watches closely, with complex ties, Political, religious, ethnic cries. Diplomacy weaves its intricate web, With allies supporting, they've surely said. While others cry foul at the human rights plight, In the midst of this conflict's endless fight. The UN, Arab League, and the EU, All seek resolution, a path that's true. But interests and pressures, competing in the fray, Make finding peace a challenging array. International response, a varied sea, From condemnation's cry to diplomacy. As they navigate choices, a tumultuous sea, Innocent lives still cry, longing to be free. And so, in Gaza, the innocent reside, On a path of suffering, they bravely stride. On October 7th, they took their stand, But the enemy's force disrupted the land. May Allah's mercy, their burdens lift, And put an end to the enemy's cruel drift. Innocent souls, their hopes held high, In the face of adversity, they'll reach the sky.

Israel is, and has been illegally and brutally occupying and (with Tue exception of Gaza) illegally expanding into those Territories. Gaza has no settlements but they are occupied through the air, sea, and land blockade. Israel has been condemned and asked to cease their illegal settlements, to relocate their violent settlers and to stop the occupation. They have been condemned for 100s of human rights violations. However no one forces Israel to abide by international law and that is the main issue.

Ireland has been "oppressed" the least out of nearly every European country in the last century. They never were under any form of nazi or communist occupation, most of Europe were and people are still alive that lived under these oppressions. All Ireland did during these times were remain so called "neutral", which in reality was allowing safe passage for nazi collaborating ustase war criminals whilst keeping out Jewish children during the nazi extermination program of them. You are only with the so called "oppressed" to keep your supposed victimhood front and centre, you attach yourself to popular "causes" only to hijack them to keep your history of being "oppressed" alive because no one remembers or even cares about it.

Now they are doing exactly the same with Palestinians ,so there is no empathy in the slaughter that’s being carried .Just as an example in the Ukrainian conflict, the population was described as victims, the opposite is done with Palestinian people in Gaza, where we see through language a sinister and brutal manipulation of reality. Thank you Democracy Now and my total admiration to this gentleman of an admirable dignity, who still has the strength to explain,in spite of his losses , what it should be obvious to all .😔

[It] has been the culmination of the Palestinian experience for a hundred years, since the British mandate and the beginning of settler colonialism with Zionists immigration into Palestine. It is really beyond words to describe what it means to be a Palestinian in this moment. The accumulation of multigenerational trauma and memories that activates in each one of us. Previous memories we’ve tried to overcome with hope and a flare for life and for freedom only to find that there is always some horrific episode that reminds us that we are on this Earth in this time liable to be MASSACRED and LIED ABOUT. “ Dr. Fady Joudah, November 9th 2023 Mr. Fady Joudah, I am from Croatia (Europe) and my voice is with you and the Palestinian people. This is the biggest argument against gun control regardless of the few that would use them for purposes other than self defense or the defense of their people group. This is what happens when the people are unarmed Israel can march in right now and only have Hamas to fight without any worry about the unarmed civilians because they know those civilians only have rocks to throw into the fight it’s completely lopsided battle

I can’t understand this invisibility of the Palestinians, who are a warm, humane, spirited people. Despite their persecution, they retain these qualities, which is nothing less than miraculous.
