Mokose USB vs Mokose HDMI webcam

I’m currently testing a lot of stuff to find decent alternatives for people just getting started in streaming or KZhead. If there was anything in this video that you want more details on just ask in the comments.
The Mokose cameras look to me to be an affordable option.
Logitech has a couple of options to use a keyboard and mouse or trackball on two computers at once. It will work between PC and Mac as well.
I’ll have affiliate links to the stuff we looked at below along with my normal equipment at the bottom.
Starting a KZhead channel in 2021 is cheaper and easier than you think. I’m starting this channel to share a few opinions. My hope is to encourage others to get started posting videos on KZhead. You really don’t need to invest in a lot of new equipment to get started and I think it is fun to repurpose things to help you along the way.

Here are a few affiliate links to some of the equipment I use and enjoy. If it makes the list I have personally used it and found it to be good. This isn’t everything so I’ll add stuff as I go.

  • Thanks for the videos, they are very helpful, I just have one question, the UC40M model at 5:25 minutes shows that the resolution is 1280x720, does the camera support 4k? And how well does it record in 4k?

    @PakoCardenasS@PakoCardenasS2 жыл бұрын
    • Thanks for checking it out. The UC40M does 4k but the mini PC I’m running it on is just using a Celeron J4125 processor and it was having a few frames dropping at 4k. I’ll have to test it more to see for sure what the capability is on that little PC. I will be doing more testing with both cameras as time allows.

  • Hello guys, I just bought the hdmi version of this camera and I like it, it's not a dslr, but I'm pretty happy with the quality. I wanted to know if it is ok to leave it connected to the power all the time though, I´ve noticed it gets a little hot and I'm not sure if it is a good idea to only connect it when I really use it. :D

    @juanma9554@juanma95542 жыл бұрын
    • I think you will enjoy it. You are correct, it’s certainly not a DSLR but for the money I think it’s a good deal. I don’t know what Mokose says about it but I have three of these now and the oldest one is about 6 months old and the only time it’s been turned off was to move it to another spot. So far it hasn’t caused any problems. I’m planning a video soon on the newest one. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day and be safe out there!

    • @@onlymyopiniontech Nice, I'll probably leave it then. Thanks for the reply, yeah I really like the camera so far. • It looks like the HDMI version has fish eye aka distortion around the edges while the usb version does not. What do you notice about that?

    @FloydKingMusic@FloydKingMusic2 жыл бұрын
    • It all depends on the zoom. If I bring the HDMI version in to the same level the fisheye goes away. The USB zoomed out has wide angle of about 57° and the HDMI zoomed out is 82°. I really picked up the USB to do overhead views so I think it will work our well. It could be moved a little farther away to compensate BUT it’s manual focus. I haven’t tried it yet but it might have a deep enough field of view that it would still be ok to hold something up to show and still be in focus. These (along with OBS) are new to me so I’m still exploring options with them. Thanks for stopping. Have a great day and be safe out there!

  • What is the maximum range while using HDMI and SDI,USB

    @luckypurba@luckypurba9 ай бұрын
    • Sorry, I'm just now seeing your question. I'm not getting all my notifications. For resolutions near 4K, it's recommended to use an HDMI cable that is no longer than 3 meters (10 feet). After that distance, the signal can start to degrade. For lower resolutions, the reliable distance is much longer, with the most common being 15 meters (50 feet). USB 2.0 (High Speed)480 Mb/s 5 m (16 ft. USB 3.2 Gen 1 5 Gb/s 2-3 m (6-9 ft. HD-SDI is regularly transmitted over low-loss digital video grade RG6-style coaxial cable up to a nominal maximum distance of about 100 meters. So if you have a really long run SDI is the way to go. These are general suggestions and if you use lower resolution you can extend the range some. One other thing that might work for a longer run on USB is an active cable but I haven't tried this to see.

I don’t recall what all the features are but the remote functions change depending on if you’re using USB or HDMI and you can’t use both at once. My thing was it lets me record onto a micro SD so it might let me record from just the remote. I’m not sure on that but if I order one I’ll go over it on my channel.
