Challenging, Sandin's goal was unbelievably stupid.
@Thorin73 жыл бұрын
from a certain point of view, it was extremely stupid as it clearly wasn't interference... but you have to take into account time in which he did it: his team was being absolutely shelled and hadn't left their own zone in a long time... they were rattled, and they were taking stupid penalties. they needed a break to calm down, and an attempt to halt the momentum, which was entirely in the leaf's hands. rather than take a 30 second timeout, they decided to challenge and got a 4 minute timeout instead. it may have given them a penalty, but it successfully gave them breathing room to get back in it, whilst temporarily halting the relentless onslaught poured on them by the leafs. in that view, it makes perfect sense why they did it.
@derps86903 жыл бұрын
@@derps8690 no... you burn your timeout if you need a break, you don’t gamble on it being a super long challenge and risk going down a man for another two minutes. That was nuts.
@GuitarBeard3 жыл бұрын
@@derps8690 Facepalm. Challenging a obvious goal for a temporary break wouldn't shift the momentum, especially if you're aware that you need to kill a two minute penalty afterwards. Montreal should've just called a time out to recuperate their players, and cultivate a new strategy, without the risk of being down 4-1, heading into the third period. It was a stupid call, no matter how you look at it. Edit: You've liked your own comment again. Lol
@Thorin73 жыл бұрын
@@Thorin7 clearly it does change momentum, because it did. the habs were able to exit their own zone and rest their top pk line, which had been getting absolutely clobbered in their own end. the leafs had full momentum after the goal, but were forced to stop due to the challenge. the habs actually began to get back into the game because of it... they managed to hold it off and survive the rest of the period... it wasn't until weber took that stupid penalty that basically sealed the deal for the habs, since the leafs went on to score. they took a risk, and it would've worked out well if their captain wasn't a moron.

Exactly and I'm sure it played a part in the first game loss. Rest easy JT and come back strong captain.
Challenging, Sandin's goal was unbelievably stupid.
from a certain point of view, it was extremely stupid as it clearly wasn't interference... but you have to take into account time in which he did it: his team was being absolutely shelled and hadn't left their own zone in a long time... they were rattled, and they were taking stupid penalties. they needed a break to calm down, and an attempt to halt the momentum, which was entirely in the leaf's hands. rather than take a 30 second timeout, they decided to challenge and got a 4 minute timeout instead. it may have given them a penalty, but it successfully gave them breathing room to get back in it, whilst temporarily halting the relentless onslaught poured on them by the leafs. in that view, it makes perfect sense why they did it.
@@derps8690 no... you burn your timeout if you need a break, you don’t gamble on it being a super long challenge and risk going down a man for another two minutes. That was nuts.
Lol
@@GuitarBeard even if the review didn't take long, it still would've taken 2 minutes at least... more than a regular time-out. gave them a chance to recuperate.

@@10Timewaster You are correct. There were two specific plays that the Leafs should of got a penalty. Hyman's hit on KK and Simmonds slash. However, if you are going to play that game, the Canadiens also had a lot of infractions not called. It happens. I will agree that penalties were missed on both sides, but after Toronto got the 2nd powerplay I was expecting Toronto to get the following penalty. Saying that I am expecting (but not hoping) that Toronto will get a load of penalties
Надеюсь, что в этом году Торонто возьмёт кубок с таким составом. Иначе это будет равносильно преступлению со стороны игроков кленовых.
А Торнтон то как этого хочет )
GG Habs see you in Game 3.
That ref , with the squeaky voice #33 , has been pathetic all year .The guy has no idea how to manage a game , and this doesn't just happen against mtl.
When the Leafs are on all cylinders, they are a very hard to beat. I got to say, I didn't think Campbell was going to be the answer, but I'm so glad I was wrong. He's been a wall.
gotta love when fans of a dirty team whine about reffing. it must suck when you get called for cheap shots and dirty hits. anderson charges on every hit. weber and charito take cheap shots all the time. and all the other habs play dirty cuz they know they are not as talented as the leafs.
Charito????? LOL! It's Chiarot. You got all the letters twisted around. LOL!
Definitely callin him Beano Charito from now on, thanks guy!
@@ms.zelman3032 thanks spell check police. i left it just to piss you off.
@@KDzTrIcKzz haha i knew that would piss habs fans off.
@@davebrutto It didn't piss me off. Not even for half a second. In fact, quite the opposite. It made me laugh.
2:14 wtf is a byron shift
Dominant performance by the Leafs. #WinforJT
For Jt I'm sure.... but the Canadians took their loss like a man.... Didn't go head hunting, like another game I just watched..... Hope kuch is ok......
You were watching the wrong game...
I think the Habs and Panthers had a bet to see who could treat their goalie worse today, hard to say who won
game one, habs played much better than leafs, leafs couldnt convert on oppurtunities and an amazing goal from byron. but DO NOT blame this win for the leafs on the refs habs fans, it just makes you look desperate and pathetic
With all due respect you did the same last game…
@@bullymaguire7266 i personally didnt see any leafs fans complaining about the refs but if there was i apologize on their behalf
They help you get 3 goals...
@@austonmatthews2866 ahah i have seen a lot of refs 1 leaf 0 and now it’s Habs 1 refs 1 😂😂😂
@@bullymaguire7266 the refs literally let you get away with so much before calling penalties so I wouldn't complain, Mr. Drouin
Habs vs Refs. Not saying they were completely responsible for the turnout of the game, but you can’t be THAT biased when officiating an NHL playoff game
The Habs should have easily had 5 more penalties ... and that’s a conservative estimate. What frickin game were you watching?????
They were being out worked all night, hard not to take penalties...not to mention that challenge was awful.
@@maydanlex only two of those penalties were deserved, the one on kk and on weber, (obviously not counting the delay of game penalty, that was a bad call by ducharme ill admit) the one on gallagher was also fine, but the refs had to take out the other guy also who got his glove in his face as well, kk getting hit from behind is apparently legal i guess, armia almost had a breakaway but was interfered with, i think it was engvall or simmonds who gave a huge slash after the whistle on kk in the second, and many other times where the refs didn't call a penalty on the leafs whden they should have.
@@phils6733 like i said, im not saying the refs caused the habs to lose, the leafs deserved that win, but im really hoping that from here on out, they can AT LEAST call the play on kk getting hit from behind. that was the biggest non call of the game. there were many other times as well where the refs were not calling stuff against toronto. the penalties were also deserved, but the one that gallagher took should have taken the other guy also, got his glove in gallaghers face
...MTL was just teasing TOR...gave em a series lead and just when TOR thought that they had it Price and the rest of the team said OK, that's enough...time to send you guys golfing...
Игру не смотрел..по обзору Монреаль весь матч играл в меньшинстве
You have to say FREE UKRAINE
Nice refs!!
Habs barely made any offensive efforts. Couldnt even cycle the puck. Everyone just standing around or gliding. Ez to read. No synergy whatsoever... Its like they wanted to lose. Its the first full game i was able to watch all year because of my work schedule... Much sadness haha
See you at game 3 boys !!
Oh habs fans the leafs can play alot better and they already dominated this game...dont matter what mode price is in...
0:58 A yes best goalie in the league Jerry Price
0:53 whoops
JESUS PRICE THE SAVIOR
Is it just me or does this announce always call him Jerry Price? At 0:55 sounds like it.
He did it last game too. It’s driving me nuts
So , You CRUSH them next game also . It gets into thier heads , they're too good , we cant beat them , so they stop trying so hard , then it becomes easier to beat them . No more injuries . SO, CRUSH THEM NEXT GAME. AlSO. VICTORY OR DEATH Mike .
что то канадиенс в четвером постоянно играли
Capitals are tough To beat and NJ
The Montreal Canadians vs the Maple Refs
Most of the time I noticed, when the Canadiens score the first goal of the game, they end up losing. Totally sucks.
They were like 16-4 when they score first so you might want to check again.
Gg to leafs but price did pretty good for all the penalties lmao tf was that
The reffing was an absolute joke and so one sided in this game
And once again Montreal expecting Price to bail them out again.
And Habs fans said they were going to sweep the Leafs... HAHAHAHA
I cheer for the Canadiens, but if anything, a sweep from them was the last thing I was expecting in the playoffs. I was right.
100x more leaf did, and they lost the first..
Litteraly no one said that but good for yall I guess?
@@mathiscaty4408 there was quite a few who said it on the video in game one
@@mathiscaty4408 lots of Habs fans said that
7:56 a nine game playoff lossing streak is over?
Perhaps against Habs in the past.
I don’t think Toronto is that good of a team tbh let’s see how good you D is when they start playing against real competition and teams with goal scorers beating MTL is nothing special
Good to see Simmonds on puck drop with Matthews against the Montreal hackers.GLG
Hackers is putting things mildly
Not that hard to win if you’re on the powerplay the entire game
Taking penalties normally shows your not in good position, panicking or frustrated...they lost because they couldn’t keep up with the skill and pace of the leafs, pretty simple.
