    • Used it twice with no practice and couldn't tie a slip not. Once on a pizza delivery. Ford Taurus. Ripped off my shoe laces, tied them together with a basic knot and got in within a minute. Locked them in my grandmother's pt cruiser less than 2 weeks ago at doctor's office and ripped off the laces and took less than a minute to get in. Very effective. Also the back window was cracked open and I couldn't loop the lock because the window had enough of a curve where it wouldn't drop straight down. After about 10 seconds I just said Ill go with the laces and slide them thru the door.

  • Some great hacks shown here, a few I've never seen before. Still waiting on what exactly the hack is with the tire pressure gauge. I mean, it's a tire pressure gauge...of course it's useful for gauging the tire pressure - it was created precisely for that purpose! It's even goes by the name "tire pressure gauge"! Up next: windshield wipers - a useful gadget for removing water and debris from a vehicle windshield!

    @jaydeedub@jaydeedub Жыл бұрын
    • FYI. What he was showing was that to pop the measuring slide out of the gauge you don’t have to attach it to the valve, you can just pull it out with your fingers. Then you can slide it in and out at will. It’s fun when you’re bored waiting for the breakdown truck because you’re tyres flat and you don’t have a pump or a spare.

  • Don't even think about using a power tool battery to jump start your car! For one, you'll kill the tool battery, which could cost you at least US$100 to replace, but a tool battery isn't rated for the amp draw of a car starter. Cars use 12V systems and tools use several different voltages, rarely 12V, which can cause electronic problems for your car. A car starter motor can draw 150A, compared to a tool battery having 2-8A capacity! Those tool batteries can explode, violently, by drawing such amperage, resulting in severe burns, property damage, and could even cause death! If you need a jump start, use jumper cables, a car battery charger, a battery booster, or call for assistance. Do not use batteries that aren't designed/rated for starting your car. I recommend a battery booster/jump starter pack, as they are designed to protect the user, vehicle electronics, and the device from user error. Wow! I can't believe they suggested that "hack"!

    • Problem is there's not a whole lot of 12V tools anymore. Most have gone to 18+. I would be hesitant to try with 18v+ on a modern car with all the battery monitoring systems. Also I don't believe a tiny 12 V battery would be able to supply enough amperage if a car battery is drained very low. I think the contacts on the battery would likely melt before enough current could flow. There's a reason jump packs aren't just regular batteries.

  • I would definitely be checking the owners manual of your vehicle before installing chains. Some manufacturers warn against it.

    • @@MethidMan I live on the east coast of U.S and in my state they banned them with the reasoning that they were the biggest contributor to road damage. For a while it was only mail trucks allowed to have them since they have to deliver in absolutely every condition, but then even banned for them after a while

    • @@deathbysodomy4124 Strange, I looked up the legalities of snow chain tires and it doesn't seem like they're banned in any US state. Limitations, yes, such as what months they're allowed, what conditions are required, some even requiring them during a snow emergency, etc., but nowhere does it seem to be completely banned in the US.
