  • I’ll never understand the “wilderness program” where they come get you in the middle of the night while your sleeping and take you out and away from your parents. That has to cause some kind of trauma. I could never to my child. Rip to him. Sending so much love and healing to his family and friends.

    @kayleelands1754@kayleelands1754 Жыл бұрын
    • I personally know at least 6 people who got sent to "wilderness" in high school. One of them is a really close friend of mine and she was super traumatized by quite literally being ripped out of her bed at 3 am by two giant men and thrown in a mini van as her parents waited downstairs to close the door behind them without a saying a word. I grew up around a lot of kids with really rich parents so I see the entire thing as parents just paying other people to "fix" their kid's issues so they don't have to deal with it; out of sight out of mind.

  • I’m 22 and live in Los Angeles and it seems like the social culture and nightlife here is literally destroying these kids. I’m pretty disconnected from all of that since I keep to myself and am not a “party” type of person most of the time but it’s crazy to me that these young kids are being sucked into this romanticized idea of fame and social media relevance and becoming addicted to all these different vices and destructive habits as a result of that. People here place so much emphasis on constantly partying and doing drugs and being perceived as cool and it’s clearly having a negative impact. It’s sad to see. Rest In Peace.
