The Apple TV scroll wheel reminds me of the old iPods.

I love that the remote went back to iPod Classic scrolling, it’s really cool seeing that old input method being used in new products

So, should we buy the iPad mini now or wait until end of year for a new model or have they given up on it? I was really looking forward to getting one this month.
Unlikely that they’ll be making another one this year. Likely, next years ipad won’t be nearly as much of a performance jump anyway. You should get it if you want to.
Get the iPad Pro unless you really want small space. My 5 year old regular iPad is still great but a little slow. iPad Pros will still be fast even when they stop getting updates (6 years).

The new Apple TV remote seems nice and easier to find. Got tired of losing the old one when watching movies in a darkened room.

I got excited when I saw the keyboard, mouse and trackpad... then I heard the mouse didn’t change at all, other than color. PLEASE move the charging port... that’s all.

Thanks for the recap! Funny Irony I just called them last week to have my Daughter (who just turned 16) to my Apple Credit card... they said “Sorry we can’t do that”.. Foreshadowing I guess. ❤️ I wish they would also come out with a Business version of the Apple Credit card.

I really hope that when the larger iMacs (27in equivalent) are announced that we get black bezels. Also why no logo on the chin?

The chin is so ugly. With how little the M1 guts are, why couldn't they have made the chin smaller? Rather that even if it was a lot thicker. This focus on thinness in a desktop is stupid.

Airtag hopefully will get integrated to Apple credit card in future for wallet tracking
Use Apple Pay and phone key (with Tesla and some others) and don't need a wallet. Saved you $29 for AirTag.

Excited that we might get more functionality in iPadOS now that it is basically a MacBook. What is preventing them from adding a real font installer and printer drivers at this point?
@Xavier Breath They invested a lot of R&D into Macs just to push away pro users again. I guess we’ll see.

@@iamjiroe yes, but Apple monitor quality is unsurpassed. My iMac 5k is night and day better next to my $1,500 Dell work monitor. Perhaps LG's upcoming OLED monitor will change that.
@@davidc2072 it all depends what you are doing 🤷♂️ I am a Music Producer... so the monitor quality is not a thing for me. in fact I would never buy an iMac, I would buy a newer Mac Pro eventually and maybe an Apple Display cause it's not essential for me and it does look beautiful. But I find it hard to place the iMac monitor in the pro video industry tho, considering Hollywood doesn't really use apple monitors.
For the new Apple TV 4K, does high framerate mean 120Hz? It has HDMI 2.1.

So... what’s the reason we can’t run full macOS on iPad pros now? It’s literally identical to what’s in every Mac and yet they make you choose iPadOS with touch or macOS without touch and with crappy webcams... I want an iPad with macOS, how hard is that?
I don’t have apple tv but it’s ironic that their remote was too complicated and now they’re praised to make it a normal remote again. Apple genius marketing strategy!

I got an ipad air 4 in December, i was then using it while charging and it heated up like crazy, still does and has a battery life of 2 barely 2-3 hours on continuous internet surfing
Vveereeyyyyy split over that new iMac design. I mean a white screen surround? When it should be black or silver at most! Air Tags are a reasonable price though.

I’m confused what about for older phone models with airtags?
Newer iPhones utilize the “precision finding” feature. Which means that it’ll guide you right to your device. The older phones can still use it but I’ll just give an audible beep and a general area much like findmy currently does.
You can use the same Apple TV 4K that you already have with the new Siri Remote

I am so bummed out. I am in dire need for a All in one desktop and i was hoping this iMac would have a m1x or better but we got a the same specs as an air... Also the white bezels is a huge deal breaker since i watch a lot of video content on my computers. I guess i will wait next year for a decent designed imac or maybe the new arm pc's that are coming.
You'll have to wait multiple years for ARM PCs to catch up

Surprised no new IPAD mini. Maybe Apple got a clue and realized no one is interested in a IPAD mini with the same tired design. Hopefully later in the year the IPAD Mini 6 will have the same design as the latest IPAD Air.

@@johnmc3862 No their new products are literally trash. Did you not see the specs for the iMAC for example? Its amazing their even selling it for $1499. You can literally get a high spec PC for the same price. Its not even about money, its about being smart about what you buy and investigating what the products can do.
@Versatile Wolf agreed, you can get a good PC or Tablet with much better specs for cheaper or even the same price. Its insane that people unironically buy these products.
No iPad mini 6. That’s the only thing I wanted. I would have happily forked over some serious cash for a bigger screen/updated specs iPad mini. Now 👎…at least my wallet will be happy.

I don’t get the point of Air tags. Mainly because it is impossible to tag the air. I’ve tried, not easy and tedious. The real question is what’s going to prevent a thief from chucking the air tag and walking away with the missing item. I guess it would be useful for friends houses or your own home, or some businesses. But highly doubt it would help in a public setting

No, that imac doesnt need more than 16 gb of ram because the performance is so great you dont need the extra ram

Absolutely. What a joke. They put the same M1 chip in the iPad Pro. The iPad gets a better front camera. It comes with a better screen with XDR and mini LED on the 12.9”. Why is there a chin? Why is the bezel WHITE? Why didn’t they make the screen touchscreen? People are going to run iOS apps on it? Why not prepare it for a touch Mac OS? It’s going to need to happen at some point. I mean 14 years wasn’t enough to get this done? I think they literally don’t care about Mac. They just want to push phones and way overpriced tablets. Also power brick? Wow. That’s a first.
