  • Thanks Gen Mor , for a wonderful coverage on Sonam Wangchuck , we have been associated with works of LEDEG since 1989 . The aspirations of people of Ladakh with their Natural Spiritual Intelligence has been an inspiration to me especially in the field of Geology , Geohydrology and Hydrogeology , Developmental Ecology & Agriculture , Sustainable Energy Resources , greatest aspect is the Learning lessons we get in Sustainability of Environment , Zen Budhism, Culture and great divine energy that one draws from the areas around Leh and Nimu ... It was a great time while during weekends we used to interact and have long walks on the higher reaches of the region & discussions with with Ladakh Folks then on sustainable , innovative technological advancements, Educative interactions on water, soil and environmental pollution etc . I am sure , once again my contributions for this pious work is again sought by my mind as a special privilege towards the preservation of the environment in Trans-Himalayan Region where the Aboriginal Aryan Culture still exists with great intelligence towards Sustainable Culture . There is a need to preserve the culture of Ladakh and also the Literature and traditional heritage along with the avenues for Higher education and Himalayan and Trans-Himalayan Research .

  • First of all I salute Maj. Gen. Sir and Sonam Wangchukji for their priceless service to our motherland India. I am a retired Headmaster and resident of Odisha State which is faraway from Ladakh , but I am aware of the problems people of Ladakh facing from the talks of both the learned persons and pray before the Almighty for a longlife of Wangchukji and at the same time I want to rethink about his strategy keeping in mind Kishan Andolan as more than seven hundred sacrificed their lives , then only something was achieved.

  • I belong to Nepal,and this discourse between major general and Sonam Wangchung,a great human being with beautiful mind,is very inspiring.It teaches us to protect natural environment,our great Himalayas.In the name of economic prosperity we are not allowed to destroy the NATURE.As it is said Himalayas are the sources of drinking water for the 2 hundred crores of people residing in South Asia.The demand of Sonam and the people of Ladakh and Kargil should be addressed by the government of India,there lies the greatness of Modi government.
