I am LP fan since 2000 HB album.

  • Guys who say they are copying Linkin Park. Two things. 1. Thousand Foot Krutch came first. They've been doing rap-rock longer. They're just not as mainstream as LP, so it makes you THINK that they are the copying. But they are allowed to have similar Rap-Rock styles. Seriously don't be a child. 2. Linkin Park has been using a lot of studio electronic sound in their last few albums, where TFK has not. Linkin Park has a lot more screaming in their songs, and less meaningful lyrics. In my personal opinion TFK has been getting better and LP has been getting worse with each album. If anything Linkin Park is just having a hard time being extremely popular and still being who they are. Even some of TFK's more generic stuff in The Flame album is still extremely meaningful and unique compared to LP's stuff lately. The End is where we begin was jaw-dropping, and I love both OXY:IN's songs so far. Hunting Party? I listened to half the album and haven't really liked a single song to want to keep going.

      @lrooney@lrooney9 жыл бұрын
    • I respect that you don't like the new singles. But remember that TFK has always been mixing all sorts of sounds in their albums. They have always had a couple 'simple' songs in each album to appeal to the mainstream a little bit. So I predict that these two songs released so far are those type of songs. (Which I do still like, just not as much as the other stuff on the album. Example being that Let the sparks fly is a good song, was one of the TEIWWB singles, but it's not nearly as deep and good as Fly on the Wall or Be somebody.) They probably just felt like these songs needed to come on first to appeal to new listeners, and the sound you love from TFK is just in the parts of the album. But I do agree with everything else in your comment. Old LP was better then Old TFK, but newer TFK is much better then New LP. Also I'll be checking out Love and Death now, since we do seem to have similar tastes.

      @ZygonCannar@ZygonCannar9 жыл бұрын
    • Turns out that Love and Death is played decently often on the radio station I listen to, and I knew them, just without actually knowing them. Yeah I'll check them out if I see a show of theirs coming around.

Anyway, the Dragon God, one of the creators of the world and patron of magic, exiled himself on the tallest mountain of the region. • "Untraveled Road" lyrics Hold on for a second, if words can be weapons Then what I say can effect it, they're not just words on a record And I can choose to respect it, or choose to infect it But once it hits the water, it's too late to be selective 'Cause one voice is enough to make sleeping giants wake up To make armies put their hands up and watch whole nations stand up It's one belief, one spark, one faith and one restart And we can reboot the whole chart before it all falls apart So stand up, shout it out, and put 'em in the air if you like it loud We only got one shot, so let's make it count, it's a take down, nobody can stop us now Stand up, shout it out, sing it loud, so the world can't drown us out And before we depart, let's leave a mark 'cause light shines brighter in the dark When we scream, our lips don't make a sound We march, with feet on solid ground We walk, where no one wants to go, on this untraveled road So hold on for a moment, if we're not scared of opponents Then with what we have we can own it, we'll just plant the seed and keep growin' it And when that light shines in the mornin', they'll still be waken' up yawning But we'll be smilin' like we expected, with sweet victory one method 'Cause one voice is enough to make sleeping giants wake up To make armies put their hands up and watch whole nations stand up It's one belief, one spark, one faith and one restart And we can reboot the whole chart before it all falls apart So stand up, shout it out, and put 'em in the air if you like it loud We only got one shot, so let's make it count, it's a take down, nobody can stop us now Stand up, shout it out, sing it loud, so the world can't drown us out Before we depart, let's leave a mark 'cause light shines brighter in the dark When we scream, our lips don't make a sound We march, with feet on solid ground We walk, where no one wants to go, on this untraveled road When we scream, our lips don't make a sound We march, with feet on solid ground We walk, where no one wants to go, on this untraveled road And I can choose to respect it, or choose to infect it But once it hits the water, it's too late to be selective 'Cause one voice is enough to make sleeping giants wake up To make armies put their hands up and watch whole nations stand up It's one belief, one spark, one faith and one restart And we can reboot the whole chart before it all falls apart When we scream, our lips don't make a sound We march, with feet on solid ground We walk, where no one wants to go, on this untraveled road When we scream, our lips don't make a sound We march with feet on solid ground We walk, where no one wants to go, on this untraveled road On this untraveled road On this untraveled road

  • One of the best TFK songs I've ever heard. The knowledge that just one voice, one life, can be used by God to stir up sleeping giants and make whole nations stand up for the Lord, is incredible and inspiring. Plus, I love the chorus as well: "When we scream, our lips don't make a sound; we walk, with feet on solid ground; we walk where no-one wants to go, on this untraveled road." How true and awesome.

  • Hold on for a second, if words can be weapons Then what I say can effect it, they're not just words on a record And I can choose to respect it, or choose to infect it But once it hits the water, it's too late to be selective 'Cause one voice is enough to make sleeping giants wake up To make armies put their hands up and watch whole nations stand up It's one belief, one spark, one faith and one restart And we can reboot the whole chart before it all falls apart So stand up, shout it out, and put 'em in the air if you like it loud We only got one shot, so let's make it count, it's a take down, nobody can stop us now Stand up, shout it out, sing it loud, so the world can't drown us out And before we depart, let's leave a mark 'cause light shines brighter in the dark When we scream, our lips don't make a sound We march, with feet on solid ground We walk, where no one wants to go, on this untraveled road So hold on for a moment, if we're not scared of opponents Then with what we have we can own it, we'll just plant the seed and keep growin' it And when that light shines in the mornin', they'll still be waken' up yawning But we'll be smilin' like we expected, with sweet victory one method 'Cause one voice is enough to make sleeping giants wake up To make armies put their hands up and watch whole nations stand up It's one belief, one spark, one faith and one restart And we can reboot the whole chart before it all falls apart So stand up, shout it out, and put 'em in the air if you like it loud We only got one shot, so let's make it count, it's a take down, nobody can stop us now Stand up, shout it out, sing it loud, so the world can't drown us out Before we depart, let's leave a mark 'cause light shines brighter in the dark When we scream, our lips don't make a sound We march, with feet on solid ground We walk, where no one wants to go, on this untraveled road When we scream, our lips don't make a sound We march, with feet on solid ground We walk, where no one wants to go, on this untraveled road And I can choose to respect it, or choose to infect it But once it hits the water, it's too late to be selective 'Cause one voice is enough to make sleeping giants wake up To make armies put their hands up and watch whole nations stand up It's one belief, one spark, one faith and one restart And we can reboot the whole chart before it all falls apart When we scream, our lips don't make a sound We march, with feet on solid ground We walk, where no one wants to go, on this untraveled road When we scream, our lips don't make a sound We march with feet on solid ground We walk, where no one wants to go, on this untraveled road On this untraveled road On this untraveled road

  • Those of you that view TFK as a band that simply makes music may not agree with me here, but here are my thoughts on this new sound. Thousand Foot Krutch is the proof that a band is not their music, but their purpose. I have followed literally all their albums, and each one brings in a new piece of who they are. Not a distant band, but a group of guys who strives to spread their flame and love for their Lord to all they interact with. TFK has never stuck to one genre of music, and I don't blame them, because heart has no single genre. That being said, while Welcome to the Masquerade is my favorite album Musically, I think this album will be my favorite Lyrically.
