If you’ve told one lie, stolen anything, or lusted (which is adultery of the heart), you’ll be found guilty on Judgment Day and end up in Hell. But there’s good news: Though we broke God’s Law, Jesus, the prophesied Messiah, perfectly kept the Law, fulfilling all righteousness. He paid the fine for sinners ( that we could never pay ) by suffering and dying on the cross-absorbing the wrath of God that we deserve. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Then Jesus rose from the dead and was seen by hundreds of eyewitnesses. A buddy of mine said you were probably just another conceited powerlifter. He couldn't have been farther from the mark. You were one of the best people I've ever had a conversation with. You were incredibly down to earth. And you had an actual conversation with me. You asked me about my military service(haircut gave me away), we talked about that, how I was into powerlifting in the military. It was a decent conversation that only lasted 5 minutes. But you took the time to do it. You have accomplished something that will take a long time for someone to beat. I'm glad you survived it. I hope the next person that accomplishes it(if they ever do) has you sitting in the front row, or closer, supporting them. I think thats the kind of person you are. Best of luck, mate. Be safe.

    • While I do think the noise in part is the axe cutting through the air. Anouther possibility is the pros hand sliding along the handle of the axe as it goes down. I’m not a professional wood cutter but I was taught when using an axe that you should put one hand below the blade and one on the bottom of the axe letting the hand beneath the blade slide to the bottom during the swing letting gravity do the work. It’s something I noticed Eddie was not doing. He had both hands at the bottom lifting the full weight of the axe bringing it up, and having less control of the axe on the swing itself. It’s probably the reason he got so winded so quickly too but does show his strength being able to lift that axe so many times that way… honestly really shows how important technique is when handling these tools.

  • It's fascinating how the leverage on the swing arm is used to rotate the axe around it's center of mass at the 17:07 mark and also get it into a better position for raisin with the arms. He goes right out of levering it from the wood into that movement. I also noticed that both the professionals have very very fine tuned breathing techniques. You can hear them breath in in sync with the swings. I bet that even is adding to their core to make it easier to lever. Wonderful showcase of how technique can make all the difference.

  • This is so fun to watch! I love the humbleness, genuine wholesome fun, and camaraderie on display. You bring a blend of entertainment and learning, combined with just overall good natured competitiveness that is just great to watch. I admit I had the wrong perception about you in the past due to the old feud with the Mountain, but now I see that maybe I was too quick to judge especially considering that was a beef between you two (whether it was real or for the ratings doesn't matter) and you are a stand up guy and natural entertainer, an inspiring force of nature.

  • I absolutely love this video. This isn't a sport I know much about at all, but it looks like fun. I have pencilled the 17th in and will tune in for certain. I must say Eddie is my favourite sports personality by quite a distance. Always humble, knows how to have a laugh and doesn't take himself too seriously. Keep having fun and recording it, and I guarantee people will keep watching. Much love to the Beast.

  • This may be the best video I have seen with Eddie. It was full of humor, and real appreciation of a sport that in many places are little known. Eddie, you gave it your best, as you always do, and took it like a champ. Strength without technique will fail most of the time, in any sport. Anyway. Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable video.

    • It's because the man is not afraid to show is humane emotional side and is not afraid of making fun of himself. Him an Brian Shaw are both well spoken, when things are serious they are serious but can act like regular human beings. If you could compare them to dogs, Brian would be a Golden Retriever, curing any depression with a hug, while Eddie would be a Boxer, loving but absolutely wacky.
