  • Wendy’s performance is simply haunting. It stays with you long after it ends. Hongki’s after performance comments on the show about Wendy is so relatable and true - watching and listening to Wendy’s powerful, subdued, emotional performance is like falling in love at first sight with her.

  • Swja sbn's first reaction: "She won." I love these two. They're such strong singers they managed to steal each other's song. Can't wait for the subbed (CNBLUE) Intuition duet to be put up too. They had a blast there. I'm so so happy Wendy gets to do these gigs. She's in her element, these shows are her natural habitat. Not only does she show new sides and stunning improvement. She also gets to sing with people she admires & adores (who admire & adore her back).

    • Awesome comment. It feels like SM is trying to win over the GP in preparation for Wolo2 and I'm here here it! Wendy is more than an idol singer. She could have a really successful solo career if she gets the right songs and proper promotion. She should be way more famous than she currently is.

    • Thanks. But I wouldnt give SM too much credit (or any credit - at all). If you follow their social media accounts, it's as if these performances by Wendy barely existed. It's a running theme. All the effort they can muster - and only lately - is to repost, and on many times, much too late. No original, timely posts for her many recent solo activities. Looks now like Wendy is hard carrying the promos herself. And MBC is helping a lot more in promoting her than SM at this point. 26 Wendy clips for 2 episodes? I was touched, bc I wasn't accustomed to the sheer volume. 27 of her on the thumbnail & there's even an entire 3-and-a-half-minute react cam of just her watching the Feel My Rhythm duet cover. It's heartbreaking & infuriating to see MBC and in the past, Bespok and AOMG, doing their utmost to promote Wendy while her own company hardly ever bats an eye, and when they do, not even working up the bare minimum (like a decent post) 😭😭 @@eyebrowstj​

  • I am not an avid fan of Red Velvet but this is the very first time that I saw her sing something so full of emotions. It really is on a different level. She exudes her own unique color while performing as a soloist. I hope I can see her often this way because it suits her really well. I got goosebumps everywhere. Gosh! ps. at the very end of the song, it's like she's crying for something she lost. deep grievance in her voice.

  • I kept getting waves and waves of goosebumps all over my body when Wendy sings the first 2 verses. It’s overwhelming. Wendy is not just a good singer but an Artist and performer. She don’t just sing the song but she brings out the meaning of the song with her vocals, expression and body language as well. ❤😭

  • Her power is at the end note when you feel like she should stop singing because you feel the pain of the singer, it feels strong but weak and vulnerable, you felt it and you want her to be happy and stop sing such a sad song with powerful voice. She needs to release like actual cover.

  • When will she realize that she's ready for a post-idolhood career? What turns a diamond in the rough into a real diamond isn't complacence, but healthy rivalry with equal contemporaries. You could see how much she improved by meeting skilled singers like Ock Joohyun in Rebecca for 4 months compared to 8 years in the group where she's already the best and no one holds a candle to her. If her bandmates are satisfied with being IG influencers that's their choice, but Wendy has repeated said since day 1 she'll sing for the rest of her life. So please, SM. Let her go.

    • Everyone has a different path just like joy has been acting and had a successful solo album i think its a little cruel to call the IG influencers also Seulgi solo was good. Time will only tell how successful each member is on there own some may surprise you . For example even though Onew has the best ballad voice out of shinee the other members are more popular or just as popular so lets see where each RV member ends up a couple years from now.

If she or anyone else cared just about singing they wouldn’t go through this process. No need to but the other members down to elevate her . What you call Kpop is what Koreans call idolpop, but I don't suppose a casual listener let alone non-Korean would care about the nomenclature. That, and you being you of course wouldn't care to know singing is what Wendy herself said keep her going. She didn't even post much about Rebecca, and that's the one gig that she, again, said give her "나의 사람들." "Well known" lol. Ask about any average non-teen outside of Seoul and chances are they'll know Sung Sikyung or Lim Youngwoong more than they can name all 5 members of RV.
