    • @@coreyboyette6849 How about both? People like to see the fights get hyped up. Like to see iconic expressions from the fighters personalities which hypes the fight, attention, interest up. And creates legacy moments. Fight history has many iconic lines from Ali, Tyson, Conor etc. It's a major part of the sport. If you didn't have conferences to see their personality expressed against their opponent, people wouldn't care as much at all. It's interesting to see the clash of personalities as much as it is to see them fight. It's a major way to generate BUSINESS for the company too through the attention if the fighters speak well and say some iconic great lines of their own making.

Saying literally no one ever thought he could actually be champ is a very misleading statement.

    • That's so hilarious and couldn't be further from the truth. You're just a mark and too oblivious to see it. The guy has literally said multiple times that he got into fighting to be famous and all he wanted was to be famous. He's also said that he "wanted to be a character". That's exactly what he's doing is playing a character. He's done it his whole UFC career and even changed characters. You may be too new or a pandemic fan, but when Sean showed up to the UFC he was playing this 70s hippie type character with a big afro, 70s sunglasses, and 70s style clothes and acting different. Got popped by USADA and was out for a long time, started idolizing the Nelk boys and 6ix9ine and started talking more like the Nelk boys and ditched the 70s character and ripped 6ix9ines rainbow hair. Started trying to look more like a rapper. Got more tattoos and embraced his new character. It's all fake and done for attention and "to get chicks" because without fame, Sean couldn't get any girls at all. Sean is probably so wrapped up in playing a role that he doesn't even know who he really is anymore. This is just the honest truth and taken from his own actions and words. Some O'malley fanboy will inevitably get bent out of shape by this comment.

  • He'll never be Conor level. It wasn't just Conor's fights that made him the biggest. It was his personality, unwavering confidence in himself and way he spoke things into existence, charisma, humor, mystique, trash talk, and much more. Many people were captivated by Conor before even seeing him fight. Conor resonated with people from non MMA fans to the most hardcore fans. My grandfather asked me if I knew about the "Irish fighter, McGregor" before Conor even fought Aldo, and my grandfather has never followed any combat sports. My parents know who Conor is. Everyone does. Sean doesn't have the right ingredients to captive the masses. He's a good fighter but that alone isn't enough to be bigger than Conor. It's fitting that Sean is partnered with Nelk because that's essentially what his demo is outside of hardcore fight fans. Younger people and mainly 20s to early 30s will see Nelk as cool, but a large chunk of the population outside of that don't watch or care about the Nelk boys. That's basically Sean's demographics too, and he doesn't possess the appeal to reach too far outside of that. That's why he'll never be bigger than Conor, or even as big as him.

(The UFC hasn't accepted it yet) So what about press conferences? They are lame most of the time anyways & Sean is interesting to watch in other videos. Especially the videos that are outside their podcast. The podcast is totally different. I prefer his other content. When he appears in other people's videos, does interviews, etc. End of the Day: What matters most is How can these people perform in the octagon. Some people can't even speak English at press conferences or can and barely say anything yet people still respect their performances in the cage. Idk why people can't say that this dude is a unique talent. He isn't the next Conor. He is Suga Sean O'Malley and that's dope and I can't wait to see him compete against some of these other dudes. Regardless of outcome, i will enjoy watching this dude compete)

  • Trash talk" is probably one of the lamest and weakest ideologies created. It's corny. People forget exactly why McGregor is larger than life, he didn't just "trash talk." He spoke his entire life we see infront of us today into existence through pure spiritual frequency, like he was in tune with his higher self, looking down through an out of body experience, he had natural-born confidence - not dying his hair into a rainbow to get your attention or finding the next funniest costume. He had this naturally gifted $hit that could not be manufactured or taught Iike a lesson at school to build some sort of fictional character that all these UFC clowns are doing today. He was on a frequency far more spiritual than any single fighter has ever shown to have reached. The irony is that Conor McGregor was NEVER a character, he has genuinely been nothing but himself. He was intelligent, he had intuition, and when he would speak at the press conferences against siver, Aldo, poirier 1, Mendes and alvarez, he was articulate and would illustrate his visions and images with depth. The delusion of fighters developing a fictional character as their BUSINESS MODEL to market themselves and inherit the personality of, is nowhere near an eligible comparison to what Conor McGregor has accomplished. It's laughable, you may have a shtick, but Conor was not a shtick and nobody could ever be him. I like O'Malley but please do not compare this character to one of the greatest to ever do it. And to all the new millenial Gen Z UFC fans who watch it because it's the cool thing to do now but have no passion for the sport or loyalty because they change their favourite fighters faster than h0es switch clothes, yes, Conor is one of the GOATS. You were just not here early enough to witness it go down. You only know the guy who partied after he retired. If you really witnessed McGregor in his prime, you know he wasn't just some character. If you witnessed him during Siver, Holloway, Aldo, Alvarez and Mendes - he was quite literally that once in a life-time occurance. He was a force. He would bring his imaginations and scenarios to life by quite literally manifesting the law of attraction which would coin him the nickname of Mystic Mac. The man made predictions, claims and statements that all came true like he had a glimpse into the future. All of the new UFC fans don't know... He didn't just talk $hit. People forget.
