I use elastic ponytail holders to hold my keys and store fobs onto a key ring. Squish one section of the elastic holder to go through the hole in the key. Push the end of the key through the loop at the top of the key. Now, the other end of the elastic, hold under the key ring, letting a little loop extend above the key ring. Thread the key through the loop. It’s like doing the initial tie on in macrame.
