  • You should make a video about lifting a patient off the floor. That is the reason I got one of these, for when my wife falls. The overall procedure is the same except the legs have to straddle the patient.

  • It is not always this easy with a confused patient that won't stay still.

  • Thanks for this video especially of the manual version! It's been years since I used a hoyer and this video was so helpful.

      @tenishawalker7326@tenishawalker73269 ай бұрын
    • The straps are based on the individual. but I always use blue on top when putting someone in the chair because it helps sit them up so, you don't have to pull later. Let the hoyer work for you. Even when putting them in get behind and pull them to the head then lower the lift. No boost later. Let the hoyer work for you.

  • Problem is assistant living and personal care facilities are not permitted such apparatuses. All lifting is done manually. There is no safe way to lift a resident weighting over 200 lbs if you have a small frame.

  • I thought you had to use All the same Color loops when attaching the loops? My wife is 230 lbs, about 5'5 inches. I have the same commode sling you are using here. She kept telling me her neck and head were hurting when I lifted her. Am I doing something wrong?

    @BugzKiller@BugzKiller3 жыл бұрын
    • Yes you probably are she has to be up right to use a commode

      @joankeane2571@joankeane25713 жыл бұрын
    • So typically with these lift sheets there are different colors that indicate how upright a person will be. By using all the same color all throughout the person will be more flat and This is good for getting back to bed, but if the person is going on the commode, it would be better to be in an upright position which is done by adjusting those colored loops. On top it should be the colors that are closest to the person, and on the bottom the colors farthest from the person :)
