We had leftover strip sets from our last video. Such a great starting point to "make a quilt"or two.
Find some strip sets at your house and join us!

Please excuse my "rough" voice. I've been ill. Hopefully the rest of my voice will find it's way home. lol!!
Feel better ❤️🩹
Hope your feeling better everyday in everyway.
Hope it's getting better and better...........😊
@merrymabelmarket Hello, I watched a longer video of your use of the shape cutter ruler. I was wondering if you think it would be a good option for cutting various width long strips. I need to make webbing from 500D Cordura with buried edges...that would be 4 layers of 1" width. I can't find a foot accessory for my vintage 158 Kenmore, so looking at options. Hope you are altogether better now. Prayers 🙂🙏
You are fine. Like this.
So refreshing to watch videos with voice over…rather than videos with no talking and repetitive background music. You weave a great story and have a wonderful clear voice box! Thank you….
Wow, thank you!
Thank you for doing this.... it's about time more people got into being creative and flying by the seat of their pants... we all have so much to "use up"... why not! I've been doing this for years and wished more people could understand my love of it all!
Absolutely!! Well said!
I totally agree we spend too much time conforming to others It is only fabric there is no right or wrong Sew what you want and what makes you happy
This is my goal! I want to benablt to throw something together like this.
I love hearing you talk out your thought/creativity process. Thank you for sharing!
Glad you enjoy it!
Fabulous use of your leftovers 😃 And you made it look so easy 👍 This video will encourage everyone to be more creative with their scraps 👏👏🇬🇧
So nice of you
“Just play”… and “randomly exactly” I love your teaching style and the way you combine permission to be creative along with the importance of being careful in the execution- glad I found your channel - subscribed ☑️
Love that!
I love the way that your brownish runner came out. Thanks for demonstrating and showing how I can use my scrapes. Both projects are fun!
Love this project. You are easy to follow and your instructions/methods are wonderful. Keep putting out these much appreciated videos!
Thank you! Will do!
I really like how your scraps became such a special feature in the small quilts. Definitely got the creative juices flowing. ♥️🇭🇲
Thanks for the great comment.
You make it look so easy, and your quilts are always so beautiful. 😄
Wow, thank you!
Love the brown one especially!! What a great video!! Thank you❤
Love this idea! Thanks
Thanks for watching!
This is the way i have always made my quilts. I thought that is how it was done. I have never used a pattern. It really kicks the creativity into high gear.
Such fun!

You are so welcome!
These are So great! They both came together beautifully! Feel better🙏🏻💕

That’s a lovely quilt. Thank you for showing it.
I love using as many scraps as possible in my projects! This video totally inspires me to experiment a little more with my borders! Thank you so much for sharing💕
Wonderful!
Greetings from British Columbia, Canada to my quilting compatriots. 👋❤️🇨🇦. This is a great idea. 😀 I am currently making crumb blocks, this time for a cuddle mat for my daughter’s bunnies.
Lucky Bunnies!
I so enjoyed watching that! Thank you
Wonderful use of leftover strip sets, with beautiful results. I just finished a small charity lap quilt made from all my red and pink strips...randomly sewn together. It came out great and I did have some leftovers...Thanks for the inspiration for using them as "starters" for another one!
Red and pink sounds wonderful!!
Thank you for this video.
Glad it was helpful!
Lovely work.
Always love your style of instructing -- darling quilts

Love this quilt. Great idea.
Good comments on how pressing and straight seams can really make the difference, even when you are working improvisationally.
It's so important. Thank you.
I love your voice...and the way you describe what you're doing and of course, I love all of your projects. Cheers from sunny FL :-)
Thank you! Cheers!
Sorry to hear you've been ill xx. Love the animal print quilt! Thank you, Dawn, for this useful, empowering video. ⚘️
Thank you for watching.
Great ideas....I'm not an "animal print" person, but really like what you've done here. The animal prints look great.
I just gave the little quilt to my friend with the Africa Room yesterday. (I actually gave him both animal print little quilts. He was so happy to get them. (I don't really decorate in animal prints either.) They were so fun to make though! Tee hee...
You always choose interesting colors, and they look great! I need to be more adventurous in my choices. Not boring!
What a great way to use up those scraps! I'm sure your friend is going to love the animal print one.
I hope so!

Me too!
Love this idea. These are awesome.
They both turned out great...I think the jungle print would look nice as a pillow also.
A pillow would be a great idea!
Those are so pretty! What a great use for leftover strip scraps:)
And pure fun to do!
Thanks. I enjoy witnessing your creative play. I do the same thing. Some of my favorite creations came from left overs and freeplay. I love how your Africa table topper turned out!

My friend loved them. I gave him both animal print quilts,
@merrymabelmarket the border really made it pop!
I was afraid of fabric, it was hard to sleep at night, ya know, pull up the blankets and "ah!" Scary. But thanks to you a feel like I can face my fears, thank you.

So SOO beautiful. Both of them! Gosh I enjoy watching you create so much since I'm a beginner at quilting. Since finding you a couple weeks ago, your strip piecing ?( I think) has fascinated me to no end and your fabric choices are just all stuff I love as well.
Thank you for watching.
Спасибо за идею❤
Thank you for commenting. You are welcome.
Lindíssimo !!!
Great! I love scrap quilts, all colors, all styles. I would rather make a quilt with leftovers than allow myself to accumulate bins and bins of them.

I love materual, more afraid of mistakes and waste
Mistakes do happen. But then - there is always a creative solution....to discover.
Thanx so much for your videos, love them and so helpful❗️ What rotary cutter do you use, would love to have one😃
kzhead.info/sun/lpGDdbdumoiKhWw/bejne.html This link will take you to the video that tells all about my cutter. I do love it!
Ce n'est pas des restes de tissus c'est carrément un choix mûrement réfléchi de note Africaine. Moi j'aurai ajouté arbres et animaux d'Afrique.merci pour le partage...
It was the leftover strips from the quilts that I made for the previous video. Here: studio.kzhead.infochQA2bu6MZA/edit
i have some strip sets - thx
What kind of ruler was that with the long holes for cutting in it?
kzhead.info/sun/lpGDdbdumoiKhWw/bejne.html I tell all about it in his video - at around Two minutes and twelve seconds.
I just found this video. I know this pattern is no longer free. Is there any place I can purchase the pattern?
Patterns are found on our website: www.merrymabelmarket.com/quilt-patterns
Гарні роботи. Дякую. Я з України.
Thank you for saying hello!
Hi. How can I use it? As a blanket? Thanks
Table Topper, dresser scarf, wall hanging, doll quilt, pillow cover, fabric for a bag, or you can make it bigger and bigger and make a big quilt.
Can you give me the link to your video before this one. I’ve never seen you before. Thanks
kzhead.info/sun/lsyKcZaarGiDjXk/bejne.html Welcome. Happy Viewing!
Хотя бы дублировали написанием.
Not sure what that means.
А що за ножик
The cutter is a martelli made in USA.
Love this!!!
