Watch what happens when Superman dunks him through the floor immediately after. Then he gets angrier and finally manages to throw him, but it costs him all his effort. He screams like madman to get it done. He got like 0.1% of his powers back. Superman and batman didn't become friends because his mother's name is martha, he broke through batman's rage to get him to listen to reason and the fact that lex had been setting them both up against each other since the beginning.
