    • @@2KOOLURATOOLGaming Yeah it's a reference to earlier when a Healy tells a story of Nixon and his Secret Service being first on the scene at a car crash, and Nixon tells an injured man he'll be all right just before the man dies. The idea being that from the man's point of view, it would seem the last thing you seebefore death is Nixon (like a grim reaper/angel). Then later March falls off a high rise building into a pool, hallucinating Nixon in the water which freaks him out thinking he was near death.

  • I wonder why this movie wasn’t received better!! every time I see someone talking about it from the last couple of years it’s always positive. it’s so hilarious, it’s fun, the characters have such great depth without beating you over the head with details about them, it’s just so well done. I know it’ll go down as a cult classic but I wish it had been an instant hit so that we could have gotten a sequel! also, Angourie Rice?? such a genius for how young she was. really wish we could see more of her as Holly!!! we need a second movie set in the 80s :’(

But its the little things, sometimes there's nothing bigger- when he just completely randomly and violently starts swatting that wasp at the very end of the film.     • The bee swat is set up throughout the film I think three times. I missed most of them the first time but besides the scene in the car there's some radio broadcasts about the 70s californian africanized bee scare. It's something that's in the back of March's brain the whole movie, and the swatting scene is the only payoff it gets. It's amazing

  • I am glad this movie is getting the recognition it deserves , my friend recommended it to me and i watched it expecting absolutely nothing but boy was it entertaining. The scrit was good , the comedy was top notch and the acting particularly ryan gosling , he was effortlessly witty . I know ryan was good in comedy when i crazy stupid love but he was amazing in nice guys and pairing with russell crowe was so unexpected.
