The sport of hockey is finally growing, I hope. The PWHL is just a few weeks old and its already been a huge success in terms of support. Games have been getting sold out and people are seeming to love the league. Hopefully this means good things for the sport of hockey.
It’s just great hockey with all of the best players in one league. What more could you ask for.

Be careful what you wish for. Nba/MLB have tried to “grow the game” and it’s backfired horrifically. Leagues should cater more to the people who are already fans instead of spurning them every chance they can get
big difference is womens hockey is enjoyable to watch especially with the new contact rules. womens hockey hasnt even been given a fair shake. honestly the NHL could learn from some of the stuff the PWHL is doing. Like get them into some sick jerseys and this league sells
The PWHL is doing everything right that the NHL is doing wrong. Legally accessible games, 3-2-1 point system, letting players get physical, jailbreak goals, embracing player personalities, actually marketing the league. Adopting the 1v8 playoff format would just be the icing on the cake. And to make it even better, thanks to this league being brand new, they now have more control over where they can expand too. So instead of having 3 NYC metro teams and 2 LA teams, the PWHL now has the opportunity to fill the void for major league hockey in cities like Quebec, Milwaukee, Portland, and Kansas City. I would not be surprised at all if this league starts stealing fans away from the NHL. The fact that it's already selling out major league arenas for non-international games is so huge for women's sports. Give it a few more years and this league is going mainstream. This league is now the final nail in the coffin to the narrative that men will not watch women's sports unless they're showing skin.
