Hollywood action movies have set a precedent for iconic action shots for car chases throughout the years of filmmaking. Car manufacturers also utilize these shots for promo videos for the latest cars alike. However, the equipment used for these shots varies from rigs to supercars for the most action-packed shots. In this episode of Xplained we take a look at some of the fastest camera cars used in the world and how they capture these iconic shots.

  • We always look at the scenes and are on our toes but we never really think about all the technologies and money, time, effort and just driving skill it takes to record these. It's also phenomenal how the camera stays stable and secure on the car at those 290 mph speeds. The car itself has to be stable so it can hold all of that camera gear. Truly a feat worthy of Hollywood

  • Cameramen literally going top speed in a fastest car, diving to the most deepest ocean, exploring volcanoes, being eaten my snakes, sharks, and even dragon, travel accross galaxies, landed on every planet possible, including the SUN.. Mad respect to all cameramen out there.

    • @@VikramAdithya48 still very economical and eco-friendly than drinking gallons of fuel after each run. The mileage is always better in an EV. Edit : I'm not an EV Car fan, btw 😂😂. Just telling the fact that it's not practically possible to waste money just to refill the car's tank. I'm a big fan of JDM Cars, American Muscle V8s and European Hypercars.

    • @@cereal_dispenser Too heavy, yes. But the lower center of gravity will help a lot. The only concern is the battery life. These types of production requires many many retake shots and you don't want your camera car being dead in the middle of the shooting.
