  • Dude. I'm binge watching documentaries dealing with North Korea and they always bring the journalists to the same farms, the same people, the same stores. It's creepy.

    • It all depends on the time of year you travel there. Hell, you can even run a marathon in Pyongyang if you travel there during that part of the season. But the statues, the monuments, the history with the border, the underground metro, etc.. That is all definitely typical stops of the tour. However, and I repeat, depends of what time of year you travel there and they will show you some different things.

    • André Emanoel they are one people, but they were separated after the Korean War. Now they have become quite different because of the decades of separation. North Korea is more traditional and sticks to its roots of old Korea. While South Korea is modernised and western, adopting some culture and words from the west. Reunification is still possible tho, it’s not too late

The children are starving, frail and have light coloured hair bc they're so malnourished. You can see the children picking up scraps of food off the floor and going around where ppl are eating and seeing if any food has fallen on the floor. In fact there were a bunch of North Korean soldiers stationed there and they were eating their measly ration for the day and just ignoring the starving children. They aren't allowed to give them food or acknowledge them. It's a crazy video.

We live very happily and we feel like nothing is missing. And I thinking life in SK is really similar. Just don't break those laws and you live in happiness

    • How do you know just 1 hour a day? Not 0 or 4 hour a day? Starving? They have more rice per capita than south. And it’s only coming from United Nations the US organization the same that carried out most of the US invasions and sanctions that actually killed tens millions of people in the last half century alone.

  • Kim jong un didn't go to a boarding school, it was just a normal Swiss high-school in gumligen. His late brother Kim jong Nam went to the International school of Bern about a mile up the road where I went. I saw the dear leader playing basketball and stuff sometimes when I was at the adjacent skate park. His late brother was really nice actually..

  • Tourism in North Korea has clearly changed significantly in only a matter of years. If you watch the VICE documentary that was filmed around 7 years ago called 'Inside North Korea' It shows Pyongyang as a very different place, filled with run-down derelict buildings and completely empty tourist attractions which give off a very creepy and eerie vibe. The theme park and ski resort are new, clearly trying to cover up the reality of North Korea to tourists. Pyongyang now does not represent or even give some insight into how the rest of the country really is at all.
