Another safety aspect is theft; a criminal scouting for dogs to steal and sell on isn't going to get one so easily recognisable.

I'd rather see a dog with fun colors than a dog tied up to a tree all day so I dunno why people have to voice their hate towards a loving owner instead of the ones that need to hear it.

Hi! No hate of course but I have a criticism/warning, beforehand though I’m thankful you’re using dog-safe dyes as I have seen an idiot on TikTok using human hair dye.🤦 My only criticism/warning is that kids may see fun colors and think “oh! Fun dog!” and run up to them, distracting them from their work. I’m not sure how respecting kids are from where you are, but I know where I am kids would crowd immediately and not take “no” as an answer due to how they were raised. (I used to have an old dog who was a biter that had a pink dyed tail, and kids would run up thinking she was nice because of the dye job despite the large words on her vest that said “I BITE, DO NOT PET” and despite me telling them to get back (and one point having to push a kid back cause I thought she was about to bite) so I had to stop dying it immediately so nobody got hurt(this was on small park trails so I wouldn’t muzzle her cause 9/10 I was there alone, and she had sensitive skin so it’d irritate her, but sometimes kids run up behind and I can’t stop and muzzle her before they were already grabbing at her to pet)) That’s all I have to say! Also I’m not saying don’t do this it’s fun and obviously the dog isn’t caring (and it’s safe!) i was just giving my experience / input because I just don’t want her to get distracted by a kid who can’t take no because of her gorgeous colors incase of an emergency! Be careful out there and I wish both you and your dog the best ❤❤

Hi! For sure thanks ❤️❤️ kids still yell out oh a dog but they dont touch her more than when she isnt dyed which is strange but it works aha

I have a cream- colored "foxy" Pomeranian (longer nose, bigger in size than normal), Bella. A couple of years ago, I asked her stylist to dye her to look like a fox. The orange came out very day-glo bright, but she nailed the markings. I LOVED it. Hilarity ensued when I took her to the dogpark. The black dye faded after about a month, The neon orange took 6 months🙄to gradually fade into a nice light pink before it was gone. (And, yes, people-who-don't-know, Bella was dyed with pet-safe dyes)

I didnt name my dog, she was given to me with this name and already knew it very well. I also didnt know it was a slur until recently. Its not intended to be used that way and its a common name around here
