When there's a new Minecraft update it's always exciting and interesting, but this new 1.18 minecraft "caves and cliffs" update took it to the next level. The previous 1.17.1 update was pretty amazing, but this 1.18.1 minecraft update is definitely better. Big caves, massive mountains, new ways to find diamonds... the list just keeps going! If you play survival singleplayer or have a minecraft server with your friends, you'll definitely want to update to this patch! Caves and Cliffs

Now we need a Farm Update (More vegetables and fruits like bananas, coconuts, tomatoes, mango, pears, strawberries, broccoli, kiwi, etc..) Also a Desert Update (Palm trees, rattlesnakes, eagles, better cacti, desert rocks, updated desert temple, camels, etc..) And last but not least, an End Update (Stronger Ender Dragon, a third end dimension with a new boss, and more mobs)
That's gonna change the game completely... let's leave that stuff to the mods we dont want minecraft turning into terria

alright! I'm excited for the 1.18 hermitcraft season 8 update along with the lore that goes with it (the quakes and big moon)
I was trying it out in experiments for a video and I found emerald blocks in a damn mountain which was insane!

I actually have an experimental world set to caves and cliffs, and I'm working on an underwater desert cave house and I'll tell you, there's so much I don't even know what to do with it all!

I had an idea I call it "Glacier" in a snowy biome it's pretty much a cave of giant ice where there's pillars and spike dungeon thingy and fossils there are dropped from rare to uncommon

We've always had lightbulb, I've been using them for ages in my builds
They are now added to Java Edition also, yes they were already there in Bedrock Edition.

If you think about it,you can do the giga veins in 1.16 using the custom world in world settings or something like that.You can make GIANT veins of diamonds(UP to 50 DIAMONDS) at least 5 blocks under you!
Some of these are already in the game! Like the spore blossom and azalea tree!

i played 1.17 update and got fascinated with the mountains, i played it on survival and like forgot that. (obs: snow and powdered snow is mixed on mountains ON 1.17 or above)
FYI you can already experience some of the features with the experimental mode on on world settings

also i found one azelia tree while going in survival but it was bugged. cause it spawned on top of a swamp tree turning all leaves into rooted dirt. and the biome under the tree was very small.
Powdered snow already spans in snow bioms,the spore blossoms are already in the game as well as lush caves and the high level is already 320!

Imagine you fight the warden then you distract it by throwing snowballs and the sneak into the chest room only to find string.

The bundle was still a thing in 1.17 however at the time they were unfinished so you could only get them through commands.

The light block was already in 2019. It’s also in Minecraft Bedrock Edition. To get it just type “/give @s light_block 1 15” 15 is the max light level. U can type any number from 1 - 15 and it’ll give you a light block on the light level.

They need to add mountain springs, revamped trees, epic mineshaft, a kingdom which has a huge village inside, includes a boss which is the cyclops (lol rlcraft but ok). Other dude that said what should be added, giga mountains, revamped rivers. Yeah, also mobs. They also should add Endermite ore which can be used to craft a cool helmet, and Armor, ofc tools. End update, there. Fossils too sorry for stealing. They should add more crops and food too. New rare biomes like mushroom island. More sculk just to be fair. MORE

i feel like larger mountains may be more pain for when you start a new world, but way better at later game. Why it may be a pain is: Travelling, when looking around the world, it will take forever to climb these mountains, let alone if you accidentally fall of them somehow, higher chance of death of fall damage. But when you get an elytra, being able to go around these blocks while flying will look nicer, giving the world a better look. Also, higher mountains, means more blocks, which can be useful. But most of this update sounds sick (the creative lights are going to be better for buildings)
I think adding the massive mountains is a good move, they are still going to be hard to find

Personally, I dislike the fact that they decided to tone down the mob spawning conditions from light level 7 to just complete 0. First of all, what about mob farms? (Now, I know certain ones like the classic cobblestone tower one won't be affected by this) but what about ones like creeper towers? Anyway, aside from mob farms, it just seems very unnatural to me, as I feel it takes away the slight difficulty of dealing with mobs spawning in your mines. That sense of danger gives you a reason to mine, to place torches down strategically so as to not waste them, but at the same time being effective to the maximum. Now? That sense of danger is gone if you're in a light level of ≤1.
Interesting take, personally I just care about not having torches everywhere

You can get the tree in bedrock addition right now, I get it from trading wondering traders for moss blocks and bone mealing it and it grows saplings and turns blocks around it into moss blocks
