I have been collecting knives for about 40 years. My comrades in the Homeland War in Croatia laughed when I came back from vacation with a different knife every time. I have ww1 and ww2 bayonets as well as modern daggers and knives and lots of folding ones. I love a good knife because it always comes in handy in every situation.
There's only one deadly SF knife. That's the one that you find yourself on the wrong end of.
in 1967 my team were issued an 9" Bowie knife with our unit crest on the blade. I carried and used that knife in all of my 4 tours in Nam. I still have it to this day. Funny they don't mention it here. Maybe it was an experimental test issue, but it is a hell of a knife. Its blade is spring steel and once sharp it stays that way forever. I've never seen a knife that holds an edge the way it does.
I got the Sog Seal Elite and it's badass. Big way more durable then I believed it would be. It's well balanced and definitely for combat but can do camp tasks as well. I wanna try the pup
The Fairbairn-Sykes predates WW2. It was developed while they were in Shanghai.
It’s more about the wielder than what’s wielded.. 🤷♂️
Knives aren't "deadly ", people are.
Fairburn was made for Britains commando forces and to this day remains the symbol for 3 commando brigade
Let's make this simple. Folding knives are not the best for fighting or surviving. Most full tang fixed blade knives will be better. In a knife fighting situation reach matters as well because adding inches on the blade will only slow your movements a small fraction. When I was active duty I carried several knives (I collect weapons of all sorts) along with my Kabar and M-7 bayonet at different times, mostly different types of bowie knives. The most important thing was to practice so I bought a training bowie knife to use. The larger blade gave me more options especially the slap chop on the hand, wrist, throat of your attacker. I prefer larger blades because they make chores easier, have more than enough blade to deal a mortal blow, and they instill more fear than smaller knives do on most attackers. All my folding knives are used for is smaller jobs which is what they are best for from my experience.
Am a martial artist, and am good in unarmed combat, but I just wanna learn how to use knives. It’s a good thing I saw this
Bark River Bravo, one of the best knives ever made. I like the rampless in 3v.
I like how the pommel is labeled as a non-lethal option. I guess they just call them skull crusher's to sound tough?
I just have to ask, *what was the knife in the Thumbnail?* I was so curious about it.
I remember it like it was yesterday; the LT needed two of us to infiltrate Charlie's perimeter and take out a troop carrier and a ChiCom tank. We each had our folding knives, I had my Emerson and Toadlicker had his Spyderco. We slipped in under cover of darkness and stabbed those great folders all through the sheet metal, the steel, the leather and canvas and utterly destroyed those vehicles. We returned and the LT offered us a special prize, a can of sardines each, and we used our Kabars until they snapped off at the hilt, but luck was with us, Chawdaddy had his serrated blade Swiss Army knife and he saved the night! OK, all BS aside, other than the guy who kept calling the Esee knives EEEESSEE , which was annoying, much of this was fun One has to assume that it was not put together by anyone who was in actual combat, but there WERE a few nice blades in here.
The best knife, Coldsteel SRK
Kukri, SRK, Gerber, Kabar, have all passed thru my hands. The kukri is a nice sword substitute considering its cutting power. The Kabar had the most utility. The Gerber and SRK never got use beyond maintenance, I got lucky enough to never need them. The kukri did a great job making kindling from bush trees too.
Many of us Rangers carried Randalls in Vietnam.
I am an amateur knife collector and the Gerber Mark II is the very first blade I ever laid eyes on and coveted it instantly, and that was way back in the 1970s when I was a kid. I saw it and wanted it so badly I could taste it. No other Knives have had as powerful effect on me as the Mark II. Not even the Fairbairn Sykes is as aesthetically pleasing as the Gerber Mk II!
I'd use an axe before any folding knife.
It is not the knife that is deadly. It is the warrior.
All you need to do is cut someone, threaten to cut someone, or get close very close to cut someone. Civilian advice not military. Use whatever knife you want. People don't like to get cut or poked.
Well, it depends on what you expect from the knife. A stiletto-like one whose sole purpose is to stab and kill or a survival knife. Every knife can be deadly in the hands of a trained person. However, one has to ask: "How much gear do I want to carry around?" Answer: "Only as much as you need to fulfill the task".
A lot of dreamer's out there, I used everything standard issue & everything done the job, never broke anything & kept it sharp, Aussie Vet 🍻 Now having watched the rest if the AI vid, add tactical & special forces to anthing to boost your sales, man's oldest or possibly first tool, cutting edge/knife/scraper from large to small, every tool is designed for a purpose, the best knife is the one in your hand 👍😁
Tops Operator 7…the knife that a knife would carry for protection….☠️☠️☠️
I’m going to put this out here a knife in a fight is only as good as the person wielding it if you’ve never done any sort of bladed combat training before you’re more likely to end up cutting yourself and injuring yourself then the other person!
Nothing beats my Spiderco Ladybug
I believe there should have been a Tops on that list ! One life one knife
Go Emerson, I have one. 12 years in Afghanistan and never broke.
The SRK in 3v, and the Socom Elite are decent knives, but i wouldn't carry either because there are much better out there, not to mention other than a multi tool a folding knife is a waste of weight and space concerning overt war kit. The others are second rate, over promoted regardless of the adjectives being thrown around. A knife with a blade under 4in is not a military fighting knife. Maybe an edc civilian knife, but advertised as A special forces fighting knife is inappropriate. Maybe a military guy owns one, but not first choice to trust your life to in war.. Want an iconic war knife? How about a Randall #1? Need a dagger? Randall #2 Hung up on kabar, with it's weak tang issues? How about a Bark River Blackjack? Fits right into the Kabar hard scabbard and has a full tang, better steel. Both Randall and Bark River make better more reliable knives than anything mentioned in this video.
A good sharp knife it fits your hands and you satisfied with the style , will make you a sure fine killer if you have to be. Especially if you're trained. The hammer in anybody's hands is a fine killing instrument.
My preference is the SOG Tiger shark
I'm starting to think almost any knife company can supply to special forces.
I liked the premise of the video but there is no way in hell that a folding knife should be in this video regardless of manufacturer. All folding knives are ludicrous at best and pure insanity at worst for close quarters combat. It is pure folly for anyone who proclaims otherwise and is someone you should get away from as fast as you can run. That being said, there were some really decent fixed blades highlighted in the video. Interesting topic overall.
I love my Cold Steel SRK and SR1 LITE.... truly very tough and strong knife in the world... 💪😎👍
The Ka-Bar is a stick tang, and not a special forces knife. And if you try to use them, even the new Magnacut ones, they break pretty easily at the crossguard, where the blade becomes said stick tang.
Fixed blade only.
Risiculous, folding knifes are not good for this purpouse.
AND if you ask any REAL special forces personnel what they think is the ‘deadliest’ knife they’ll all to a man tell you that if you need to fight with a knife you failed the mission , but don’t take my word just look it up here on KZhead and you’ll soon see the truth . A knife is just a tool your gun is your weapon . Remember the old saying , “you can tell the looser in a knife fight because they die during the fight , the winner dies in hospital ! 😉
i might be the first to say this and i might get hate for it but here it goes... i think the KA Bar is insanely overrated. I own several. the standard and a few variant models. I would never say it has a full tang... more like a quarter tang. I honestly just don't like them... that is to say if it was the only knife i had when i need a knife then im going to be wishing i had a different knife.
Great program bravo 👏 👏👏👏 very accurate information
Any knive is deadly, even’table cutlery.
As an owner of a ZT 0350TS its not as good as i wanted it to be. Also the PAL RH 36 was used more then the K-BAR as it was old Civilian stock
If you don't wanna experience in a knife fighting combat you should carry at least 3 pocket guns before you go to the war
Forget about using a folding knife for close quarters combat, unless you really want to get hurt..
Any knife is deadly in the right hands. And John Wick once killed 3 guys in a bar with a pencil.........😅
I really like my huntsman survival knife
Cold Steel Recon Tanto SK5
I worked at Kershaw and twallace in Oregon for a long time and that is where ZT knives are made or at least a portion of them Let me fill you all in just in case you didn't know Only 3 out of every 10 produced are made in America The rest of them are all made in China This is how they get away with saying that they are American made
wubbey way 2 lmaooooo
They were, the First Special Service Force.
He needs to be captured alive. Nobody else knows the deactivation code for the doomsday device. The V-42 Stiletto has a non lethal option. A skull cracking pommel spike designed for increased lethality. Wait... it has what?
Im surprised the msk-1 didn't make the list.
5:01 here we see a Ka-Bar from the late 1800's. James Bowie invented the K Bar in Texas in the year 1869.
My middle name is danger! I watched this so now I'm a commando!
I must have been sic that day at buds when they handed out these knives, dam.
Any knife is deadly if plunged into a neck
Your product are unique and great i already have two of them, only problem is that you dont have your sales in Europe and distributers are terrible
Janbiah is the best knife
Fairburn sykes is a sexy knife🤩
Every knife is deadly
Wet We 2!
I served with the Royal Marines-42 Commando the chances of using a knife in combat is very low, although issued with the Fairbairn Sykes i chose to carry the more modern Applegate Fairbairn never used it i carried a ka bar until i saw one bend at the tang (it's weakpoint is it's almost rat tail tang) after that i carried a cold steel recon tanto great for utility as a backup my spyderco military and a leathearman wave, this was before the advent of "super"steels now my edc is a swiss army knife -thanks to our stupid UK laws but if I'm out in the country i take my cold steel Espada XL and a hand made Bowie.
You forgot the cold steel wasp. And safe maker 2 and scallywags ring finger dagger nd bucks 808tallon
Strider? That, again, ain`t no combat knife!
My knife of choice if my rifle is down is a short sword but Russia has a combat knife or a couple that are pretty bad ass I have them and they are definitely a contender
Any knife with a stick tang shouldn’t be considered as a reliable design. It bends too easily and does not hold up to hard use.
I have a double edge body knife it’s cool in many ways 😮😮❤❤
This is some Dune stuff right here.
Same thing can be said for firearms
No1 ❤
Joy X😂👍
The Kabar breaks easy. wtf anyone knows.
Spyderco guy' right here.
I always carry a small steel spike , small and deadly and you dont see it in my palm
I for one remember the brutality of Wet Wee Two....
Kinda surprised to not see a karambit in that vid.
Wide v 2
Best vid I’ve watched in a long time.
I like otf gravity knives
❤
US army's special forces with kives made in China 🤣🤣

What We Too 1:36
Only most deadly cuase they are the ones used
You mean deadliest cutlery
Coldsteel . #1
Don't bring a knife to a gun fight. Nice knife though. I want one for my collection.
Katana ?
The Gerber mart to used to be my baby
Mgs5 knife
Buco m9😢?
it's just a bunch of fkin knives...
hahaha you cant beat the filipino kali arnis and eskrima martial arts
Even after that Bowie clip you have an actor spin re-gripping and throwing a knife that ISN'T EVEN A KABAR.😮😡🤬🤬🤬
Sog becoming the Seals knife was a decision based on politics, not the knives that were in the selection. I've handled both the SOG seal knives as well as the Emerson/ Neely SpecWar and believe me the SpecWar is far superior. But politics stepped in and killed it. I was involved in the knife business during the time when that selection was made and you wouldn't believe the backhanded political crap that went on behind closed doors during that selection process.
It's NOT if you get cut, how bad are you going to allow your self to get/let yourself be CUT.. ❤😊.. K-bar...FOREVER..😮 .
3:08 That's a maaan, man!
Karambit
Felin from french gign is from far better then every model here. Not available for civilians.
