From the Canada in the Rough Archive: For this special episode, Paul and Keith Beasley travel to the dark continent. This is not your typical African hunting story, but rather a story that sheds light on the true relationship between hunting and conservation as the Beasley's learn firsthand what real animal conservation looks like, as they visit 'Jan Oelofse Hunting Safaris' in Namibia. Whether you like hunting in Africa or not, this is an episode every hunter and non-hunter should watch.

  • Speaking as a Zimbabwean. Animals deserve to be treated with Loving-Kindness, Compassion and Respect. Animals are sentient beings too with emotions and souls. Most hunters tend to be cruel, barbaric and are disrespectful about the animals they murder. That's why I hate trophy hunting. People come to Africa to watch animals thriving in their natural habitat. Trophy hunting is just a sick toxic sense of false manhood akin to psychopathic tendacies. Yet to be convinced.

  • Animals are individuals, too. They feel and love deeply as humans do. To callously murder an animal for sick pleasure bring the greatest, most severe consequences or karma upon yourself. Indeed, it is believed one loses their soul. Treat animals kindly and respectfully how you as a human would want to be treated.

  • Real men are kind, compassionate and respectful to animals. The reason I dislike trophy hunters so much is beacuse I have seen the lack of compassion you have. Many hunters are appalling, disgusting individuals. Put yourself in the animal's shoes. The only hunting which is acceptable is that for survival. Be kind and compassionate to animals and treat them as you would want to be treated.

  • How is trophy hunting helping wildlife conservation when they take out the best prime breeding specimens of many magnificent species?? There are better ways to protect wildlife.
