Let's settle this, is Lee the BEST or the WORST player ever?? Watch the series here: bit.ly/2vQu7Rm
He's very quick and witty so I suppose he could be up there with the best.
I’m going to say he’s the best in hopes that Jon Richardson sees this and gets so upset that he has to go scrub something
He has had two 9 letter words so that's hard to beat
Best ever
best! he's hilarious, he gives a shit about the game itself
A genuinely clever bloke with one of the fastest wits around
The number one on spot comic ever
Steve M there was one episode where Jimmy said something pretty deadly and lee turned it on its head with a super fast, super savage one liner
Constantly pulls out some of the quickest comebacks on Would I Lie To You.
Honestly I think he has the absolute fastest.
God knows he's hiding it well 😂😂
Victoria Mitchell hits the nail on the head. He's really smart and good at hiding it.
HE???
I love Victoria Mitchell so much, she is a gem
Michael McGrath lee mack
@@MichaelM28 Yes Lee Mack is male, what's your point?
Dunno why bit I found it really cute they were no the same team. David's wife and Lee lol, I kind of wanted to see more interaction, its interesting.
"I always wanted 3 kids, but now we've got two, I only want one" is such a great gag. Nothing groundbreaking or edgy, just simple and effective.
yeah love the joke, one of his stand up jokes actually that i had seen, so laughed extra hard when he just popped it in off-hand
This is not that unique . Jimmy carr had a similar joke in one of his dvd recordings: the only time I wanted to have sex twice was before I had sex once
Great thing about youtube is people replying to a comment years later
he wrote this joke over 10 years before this episode aired.
@TheSportsGuru Yes it is
The best thing about the steadings bit is Lee continuing to decimate Jon during the banter afterwards
and watching jon get more and more wound up
(could be wrong) "I'M FUCKING FINE MATE" - Jon Richardson
'can we just do the fucking conundrum' 'yeah let's do the conundrum', I'm quite good with the 9 letter ones'
Jon is a sore loser so he's an easy target.
What I love the most is he refuses to give the definition of it, but then uses it correctly in a sentence almost immediately.
Lee Mack IS very smart but good at hiding it
He hides it well cos he's smart
Carson Lai exactly
He's a very sharp witted man and he can't hide that on Would I lie to you? at times.
How do you know he's smart if he hides it that well ?
@@Lynxchillin08 Because when it comes out on occasion, it's impossible to ignore.
"the bloke from lego wants his head back"
That was my favourite
The 9 letter moments are definitely the best. Everyone’s reactions are priceless loooool.
If you slow it down, you can see exactly when Susie's orgasm kicks in.
I watch a lot of British Comics and I think Lee Mack has one of the quickest wits worldwide. Wish more Americans were aware of him.
American here. Couldn't agree more.
Worldwide?? You how people are on earth?? 🤣🤣😂🤣
I wish more people have seen the video of Lee Macks quick wit
Is being recognised by the Americans equivalent to reaching the finish line of success? Hell NO.
@@walf6922 perhaps for lee's bank account it would be
Super under--rated is Alex's deadpan delivery of "there's a ten, actually." The way he says it, you almost believe him.
Susie just going with it
Completely agree
Alex is extraordinarily good at deadpan.
Can't believe this video left out the fact that he actually won the round with "ben"!
Its a name though right?
@@NUTTY-nw4ed it's a Scottish word for a mountain
@@BertytheSnowman Oh nice, cheers.
@@BertytheSnowman So. . . not an English word,then???
@@Empedocles449 don't be petty. It's in the dictionary. It's a word.
The genuine look of shock on Sean’s face at 9:08 😂
Lee Mack has an amazingly quick mind, plays it off well by being so down to earth too.
You could see the fear in Jimmy's face when Lee shouted "PONTINS" at 2:05.
LOL
I've seen that Steadings clip more times than I've seen my family this year.
Lee genuinely scared Jimmy at 2:06 😂
"I'M FUCKING FINE ABOUT IT!!!" I love Jon Richardsons' anger at Lee Mack for getting a nine letter word.
Imagine the crowd doing a standing ovation on normal daytime countdown when someone gets a 9 😂😂😂
4:21 Everybody gangsta till Lee Mack gets a 9 letter word
Twice
The way Jimmy jumps when Lee yells PONTINS!
I've never realized how many times Victoria and Lee have been teamed up. For those who don't know, David and Lee and genuine good friends. Families over for dinner etc. So Victoria and Lee are friends in life outside TV.
Yes. I love that fact very much.
when jon gives you a genuine, sincere handshake, you know you done good
Jon's face was so flipping adorable when Lee got 'steadings' 😅😅
I applaud Rachel for that yellow dress
She's found your weak spot
Pretty sure she could give a corpse a boner with that dress on....
@Gaj ......had a look at 6.28 you have gone for the chic party look (with a hint of adventure)
Yah, she's very pretty.
Yep I bet that's what you are using your hands for
I think WILTY proves how clever and quick witted he is.
Am I the only one who genuinely laughed out loud at Lee's response to Suzie saying "what does it mean?" at 4:57? XD
Lee Mack is the guy you want at work on brew time that just makes your dinner hour hilarious and comes out with the fastest witty remarks 😂
8:59 David Mitchell in the front row
They love eachother really
That’s amazingly well spotted
Looks like him but pretty sure it's not David Mitchell
@@AshFeatherRocks Was going to say the same thing. There's no way, but there's a resemblance - at least from the shadowy view we get.
Mijacogeo definitely looks like him, 9:01 is a better timestamp to see him
Victoria: Lee is the smartest person on TV David: Am I a joke to you
she said one of meaning other people can be as smart
Vlada , properbly one of the reasons those two are so good friends. They are both really intelligent people.
I'd add Dara O'Briain to that list as well to be honest
@@Oakeedokee7 and the mighty Aoyade
@@radihaydos95 that was a very David Mitchell answer
There’s a 10 actually. 😂😂
T-E-N Ten.
Rachel Riley?
I like how at 4:11 he proves her point with a quick witty comment perfectly timed!
Love the banter between Lee and Victoria 🤣
How can you not like Lee Mack. One of the most underrated comedians on this Island and its a shame we don't see more of him doing stand up on TV. Getting sick of seeing Mickey Flannigan pretending to be working class ( I was in his class at school ) on the box.
Was he particularly cruel and/or a bully at school? If not then his persona as a comedian shouldn't bother you. Also if he wasn't a bully and/or cruel then your comment is. Edit: Not trying to presume but I never judged people from my school for their success, unless they were the type of bully loser who deserved to fail and flip burgers.
DarkParagon I think the point was that he is 'pretending to be working class', but they know he isn’t particularly (having gone to school with him).
@@tawnyowl1764 Well, why can't they spell his name, then? *"Micky Flanagan"
Et Tu I’m not convinced that poor spelling undermines their entire argument but okay then, sure, you do you.
@@tawnyowl1764 I am pretty sure if I went to school with a huge star like Micky Flanagan, I would remember how to spell his name.
The way he destroys John after getting the 9 letter word is amazing
3:35 was that maybe the "is anyone here from Kent?" one?
"Monkey's a word, innit" His comedy involves saying things that are so wrong yet this is so right
7:40 For anyone wondering 25 + 2 + 2 = 29 29 * 10 = 290 290 + 50 + 9 = 349
I got it a different way : (50+25+10)*(2+2)+9
(50/10 + 9) * 25 - (2/2) 🤪
25*9=225 50+10+2=62 2*62=124 124+225=349
"there was a 10 actually" hahahahhahha we love alex horne
Came here for the obnoxious clickbait, stayed for Lee's unbelievable wit
I came for Rachel, actually... ;)
PONTINS!!!!!!!!! 😂
when he shouts like that I just remember that bit on WILTY where he goes "there's NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO UNIVERSITY!!!!!!!!"
Lee Mack is amazing. A genuinely clever, quick witted man.
If I ever got to choose the lineup for an episode, I'd have Lee and Victoria against Jon and David Mitchell. Four smart, funny players and we'd get to find out who is the best Countdown player in the Mitchell household.
Just for that episode, I'd change the rules so that the captains play each other and the teammates play each other in the individual rounds 😂
Best etopian reglazer reunites the window with the window frame
Hamish McClelland Best reply
hamish gets deported and reunites with the bomb squad
On his steadings
Every other week STEADINGS just pops into my head out of the blue.
Lee IS very smart (definitely a contender for the smartest on TV) but I don't think he hides it very well. The fact that he replies so fast with unbelievably witty lines all the time is a testament to how freakishly good his problem-solving and linguistic skills are. Deep down I'm sure even his peers are impressed and they probably just pick on him because they know his witty reaction will bring a big sense of irony to the situation
Haha I was just thinking that, who were these people who thought he was an idiot
2:07 Jimmy genuinely jumped when Lee yelled
Lee Mack has the exact same characteristics and mannerisms as a muppet and I love it
Even his facial expression changes when he drops the dumb act. Look at his face in most of these clips (especially when he says the bit about the first time he had sex, and says "I can't believe it") and his face when Jimmy asks for his 9-letter word, and he says "steadings". You can *see* him drop the act and just be himself for a second. Same thing with "reuniting" -- the moment he says it, his expression is completely different. Brilliant.
9:00 David Mitchell came to support him 😄
Well spotted ma’am, well spotted!!!
Can't wait to see Lee Mack's Taskmaster attempt!
Not going to lie, when lee got reuniting, the only thing I could think of was, that's an amazing dress.
Yeah, that would be my advice on parenting too..... RUN!! 😄
Steadings: plural noun A farm and its buildings e.g a farmstead most commonly used in rural parts of northern England and Scotland
2:04 *_"PONTINS!!!!"_* 🤣
Lee Mack is genuinely the funniest quick witted man Ever
whats your insta?
"PONTINS!!"
4:25 rhod gilberts face :')
That lucky penis joke all the way at the end will always be one of my favourites.
What's even more impressive than the "Steadings" clip is that it appeared halfway through one of these compilations rather than at the end
Sarah is such a sweetheart in every clip I see 🥺
6:22 What awesome friends do.
jimmy proper jumped at “PONTINS”
I met Lee Mack and I got to be in Not Going Out. I’ll never forget it.
Lee Mack is a legend.
Lee Mack and Sean Lock are comedy legends. But let’s not forget Alex Horne, another comedy legend in his own right!
Who?
SardonicSpirals You can see him at @9:49 although I’m sure he appears elsewhere. ‘Alex Horne and the Horne Section’.
I've recently started watching Taskmaster, so when I saw him pop up here for a second my mind immediately went "It's little Alex Horne!" in a high pitched Greg Davies imitation.
@Elite Mangudai Yeah I'm aware. ^^
Alex Horne? A comedy legend? He has a successful and funny show. But his comedic contribution is nowhere near Sean Locke & Lee Mack.
For some reason, “I’ve got 9...” is the most hilarious quote of the whole video for me.
When the wife of David Mitchell says you are smart...
She's not just the wife of David Mitchell, she's smart in her own right
When the host of Only Connect says you are smart…
6:09 quick comeback from lee there
"And Lee?" "I REMEMBER..." Amazing.
Sean's face at 9:08 hahahaha
You must have more than enough material for a Victoria Coren Mitchell compilation?
lee is genuinely the quickest witted person in the world
Channel 4,. you could have played: "Steadings",. on a rapid loop at the end,. :P
*GASP!*
They listened to your comment lol
"lee used to work at butlins, an o-" *P* *O* *N* *T* *I* *N* *S*
The look on Sean's face, better than the look on Jons
"the block from lego wants his head back"
@3:33. He tells that story on Graham Norton 🤣🤣
Love Jonathan's flying squirrel jacket!!
I'd give anything to see a conversation between Lee Mack and Groucho Marx...
Sean's face at 9:05 LMFAO
Lee "Steadings" Mack
I swear I’ve watched all these clips yet not one full episode. I wish you could get this in Canada
Love how Jon and Sean are both ticked that got 9 letter word against
My God! Victoria's very beautiful! That smile!!! Huge crush on Lee Mack with beard. But Victoria!! Whooaa......
"Steadings" Well done Lee! I always believed in you!!!
@3:33 refer to the Graham Norton show clip with Lee Martin clunes and John cleese for one of the funniest clips ever.
My favourite comedian
Love the english humor. Sean Lock and Lee Mack are the best.
2:05 PONTINS!!!!!!!!!
2B or not 2B has to be the funniest joke ever 😅
Let’s face it. This is not only better than countdown but also better than 8 out of 10 cats
Thing is Lee Mack is obviously really clever, he just puts on an act of being stupid to be funny. He's so unbelievably quick witted and sharp on Would I Lie To You, and on this.
PONTINS!!!😂😂😂
HOW have I NEVER seen the LEGO bit before!!
I love this man.
I'd give that yellow dress a standing ovation.... Daaaamn!!
Let's be honest this isn't the first time your watching this clip
