I have started contributing a small amount from this month to Aishwaryam trust. Thanks Dr. Palaniappan.

So much presence of mind... Psychologically we feel so happy with your comedy dialogue delivery in between d info🎉 thank you loads DR PAL...
Another great video Pal! Looking back at my visits to my great grandma's village I remember she use to have a jug of buttermilk by her bedside to consume throughout the day. She was slim and healthy till the day she passed away at the age of 106. Technically, buttermilk is an excellent source of protein and good bacteria. Although we cannot source real buttermilk (even in India, I think) nowadays, Lassi (made from fat-free yogurt, or Fage 0% greek yogurt in my case) is excellent in three main ways - provides 10g protein per 100g/4 tbsp (mixed in a cup of water for lassi), full of good bacteria and quenches thirst/hunger ( to avoid snacking between meals).
Good
Packaged yogurt does not contain sufficient good bacteria cultures to rejuvenate your gut. It's better you make curd at home with low fat milk
I just love his interpretation of every subject. His comparison to Sharavanakumar is so humorous, that he hits the right string and sends the message home. Super Dr.Pal. appreciate your effort. So precise that we could jot those points down and do the calculations for ourselves. Thank you. Salute
Hello why is protein powder bad
I like these videos: they are funny, informative and contain important advice for those who are on the weight loss journey or thinking about losing some weight. However, I'd say, based on my experience as well as others, that keeping your weight in a healthy range is more challenging than losing weight. People who lost weight often got there by forcing some habits like going to the gym, watching what they eat, etc. When they do this over a period of 6 months, 1 year, 2 year, they lose weight and even reach a healthy range....but once they get off the habits that they forced themselves into for weight loss, their weight starts creeping back up and within a couple of years further down the road, they find themselves back to square one ! So make sure whatever habits you inculcate, including carrying weight scale to the restaurant to weigh your biriyani or eating high-protein diet and lifting weights in gym, you are in a position to maintain those habits lifelong ! Honestly the diet part is the most important and is the hardest to maintain !! Otherwise your weight loss journey is going to be a short-lived one.
Forget about the goal. Make it a habit... ❤
Ooooooool 😊
Agreed. Gained 18 kg weight after losing 35 Kgs (when I left gym)
Absolutely !! gained back all the 15kgs over a period I had lost in 8 months through a monitored diet program😢
Hello Sir! Your videos are super helpful and educative! Thank u for sharing your knowledge about maintaining a healthy diet & healthy body! May I ask which brand of protein powder do you consume because pertaining to the possibility of the harmful ingredients in some I don't want to risk my health by choosing the wrong protein powder

Not with all the important information u have thought to be shared but also about what we want to know about our requirements ❤
Awesome information doctor, your way of explaining the topic is just amazing.
Dr.Pal, thanks for this video! It's amazing how you package these brilliant info with your trademark sense of humor.
Thanks a lot doctor for enlightening us on our protein intake.Hats off to your sense of humor.
As a fitness enthusiast, i agree. This video is 100 % true.
Your medical advice is very good. May God bless you.
Abba this is what current generation needs. I almost quit medicine trying to explain a 18 yr old why he should not use the protein powder. Will be forwarding this to my friends son who is junior saravana kumar.
Anna, I say we should start a club called "Saravana Kumar Restoration Club" in which we all endeavor to pester Saravana Kumar to correct his diet and ALSO keep him away from Biriyani. This effort from our side will inspire others to take their health seriously too, and once Saravana Kumar is taken care of completely, we will move on to Arockiasamy too!
Dear Dr. Pal, I want to express my gratitude for your insightful videos. Your presentations strike a perfect balance between entertainment and information. I would greatly appreciate it if you could create a video focusing on plant-based protein. This content would be invaluable for individuals following a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle aiming to reduce fat and build muscle. Additionally, any insights you could provide on soy-based proteins would be highly beneficial.
Thank you Paul for your detailed insights
Dr. Pal your explanation about difficult things making easier is marvelous. I m sure all your patients and students must be enjoying the subject. Sincerely feel that one day you will meet Gus Fringe and he would say " Are you real or am I looking into mirror!! 😊

Dr Paul, i have been following your KZhead for quite some time. I really appreciate the way you're explaining about health. Since this video is about protein, i would like ask you to give recommend some plant based which has probiotic and can be digested easily. Since I have gastric issues I don't like to prefer either milk based or meat based protein. Could you please suggest some?

Thanks a lot Dr Pal , humble request to arrange sessions for North Indians as well .

You find him humorous? Only Indians maybe coz non Indians struggle to even keep up with his accent 😢😢😢

Thank you Doctor for great information regarding the Protein Requirements. Could you please suggest a better Protein Powder that I could get from Market for 10% of daily intake. It’s so confusing when you look at the market with many products. I would appreciate your suggestions. Thank you
Hi Dr Pal - I weigh 84kg and I’m 162cm tall. I know! 😭 Currently aiming for 80-120g protein per day. TDEE is 2100 calories and BMR is 1400. So I’ve been averaging 1500-1600 calories and 90-100g protein per day and lost 1 kg in the last two weeks. I’m in my 40s and female. I go to the gym five days a week during the week and exercise sometimes on the weekends, too. I go to the gym in the morning. I’m trying to incorporate at least a 12 hour overnight fast. I think maybe I could do 14. I’m not sure about 16 because of the gym in the morning. But we’ll see how I feel. My old boss used to do 16:8 fasting, and he exercised at lunchtime. He drank black coffee in the morning. Ugh black coffee! I did try waiting an hour after waking this morning to drink coffee. My body actually still cooperated with a bowel movement after a pint of water instead and I felt awake BEFORE my coffee. And felt less distracted. An hour staring into space and not at my phone did that. Incredible! So I’ll try that again! Thank you for your videos. 🙏🏻😊
Mam ,Fasting don't do any think total calorie deficit is what matter Just take enough protein And focous on cardio Chose exercise that you can do for longer duration like cycling, 👍
1.2-1.5 g/kg is an appropriate daily protein intake range to maximize fat loss. This range is supported by the European Association for the Study of Obesity. I am 50, 179cm, was 95.98kg, now 18 days later 93.89kg. I switched my diet from 2350 calories to maintain my weight (sedentary), to a new diet of 1630 calories (light exercise). My diet macros are 30-35% protein, 25% fat, rest is 40-45% carbohydrates. I have no food dietary restrictions. I am on a calorie-restrictive type of diet. I am an American Caucasian, with my 50th birthday in June.
Superb doctor . Learnt a lot from this video 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
All the above, below and anything on the land that can be digested 🤣

@@rishabhshah8845😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊oiy
When he said that I was like "hey that's my diet" hahahaha
It’s actually quite easy to get plenty of protein even if you are on a calorie restricted diet, personally I’m on 18:6 and eat twice a day and get way over the recommended dose of protein plus it has the added benefit of keeping you full for most of the time restricted period you are not eating
your words sound optimistic but in india especially for vegetarians its very challenging to meet the recommended intake of protein as the foodstyle is slanted towards extremely high carb diet. As Dr Pal mentioned, deliberately one has to do that and he has to be very conscious about taking it. If you dont mind can you share your meal plan so that it will be useful for others, pl list down only vegetarians(including eggs) foods
How explain 😊
1.5 cup of milk and one large apple for breakfast. 350cal 2 cup rajma cooked with teaspoon spoon of ghee rice 1 cup 500cal 2 cup dal 2 chapati 500bcal. Add more salad of tomato cucumber carrots until you feel full. This is simple example of 80gram protien diet under 1600cal with vegetarian food. You need to learn cooking and counting your calories and you will not find it difficult to make meal plan. I am a married 42 year man and like to cook. And I have figured out what suits me. Dr Pal has been helping people greatly 👍
It means I can beat the crap outta you with that diet
Dear Dr. I am from Sri Lanka..I follow your videos often..Thank you for your interesting videos with humour 😊

Thanks Dr. Pal for educating us so well in nutrition. I am 31 years old, my weight is 71kg, and my waist circumference is 41.5 inches. How much protein should I consume to lose weight and gain more muscles?
To gain muscle you need to Exercise properly with 70 - 90 g protein / day Drink at least 2.4 litre of water daily For weight loss you need to become -500 Kcal deficit / day Means If you eat 2200 Kcal / day , now eat maximum upto 1900 Kcal / day - 300 Kcal deficit from diet Also , 200 Kcal deficit with the extra exercise you will do in gym

Hello Dr. Pal . Thank you for the informative video. What is your take on Spirulina as a protein supplement?
you can take spirulina for micronutrients. recommended dose of spirulina is ~10gms and to get the protein macronutrient from it (say even 100gm of protein) then you have to take an insanely high 200-300g of spirulina. do your math and you will understand why its tough

Okay. *So why did Elon Mask buy twitter?* 😂😂😂
Dr , Great video !! So many ppl think vegetarian ppl are not healthy and they don’t get enough protein. I am an example for that . This protein intake is the major problem in our house . Green peas , moong dal , channa dal (legumes ) , soya chunks are the major ones we have been including but feel like consuming the same things over and over (thinking for 3 meals a day and repeating same things in the whole week feels so bored ) oru sample protein based meal plan with South Indian way if you give ,it would be helpful( Most ppl consume aval , ragi sevai , adai etc all staple foods and need options as with kids they get bored soon. Innum detailed video and more options would help us truly follow this ). Thinking for a common man , how often one can consume paneer as it is little bit expensive
Same problem here. . I am a vegan . Don't know what to eat for protein daily. It's a very big challenge as I am going for the gym. Not enough protein intake causing knee pain and leg pain for me.Kindly suggest the way Dr.

Hey, not to be offensive but you’re missing out on a lot of benefits. Contrary to what this dr claims, including non veg in your food is very important, as it contains an entirely different composition of amino acids that we need unlike plant protein sources.
Take lots cheak peas ( black or yellow)- great source of low carb protein.
